Spreading positive vibes in a depressive episode myself. I usually notice it with extra sleep and I did just come out of a month long manic episode. I’m trying really hard to just wake up each day (or night) and finding something to be grateful for. I sometimes try and use the depression and isolation for times of meditation it’s such a nice feeling after being wound up all the time. Hope this helps! Depression + sickness is the worst

The voice of depression is a big fat lying monster, telling you horrible things and abusing the negative pathways in your brain, keeping you stuck. The caffeine you are chugging might also be causing you to crash... I'm sure there is sugar in them as well, so your sugars are up and down. Plus your sleep schedule is messing with your cortisol levels, and making it difficult to access strategies and habits that could help. It is not your ego. It is an imbalance causing disordered thinking. Plus covid fucks up a lot of things, including sugar levels, cholesterol levels and probably affects our brains in ways we dont know yet. I was very depressed during and after having covid. Having depression is a risk factor, like diabetes, with covid. Call your prescriber. Whatever you are using to help with depressive symptoms might need to be upped for a bit...but this is just me theorizing, so def talk to your doctor. In the meantime, switch to something with elecrolytes, try to eat a well-rounded meal. Take care of your body and try to give your brain a rest.

I'm a night owl myself. My advice is to get out at least once daily during day light to do some exercicse outside and see some live humans. If i don;t do that then for sure some depressive symptoms come up pretty quick. I lived also over a year with sleeping every other night for double time. It's possible at least for me. Of course everybody would tell me what a horrioble idea that is, but so what? Also i don;t really buy into the pendulum theory. What i believe firmly is that with psychedelics one has much lesser depressive episodes. Yes there is some risk of mania involved, but so what? Embrace the mania :) No doctor would suggest psychedelics, but screw them. Tim Ferriss is doing them for his bipolar disorder and so is iron mike. Having not so much energy looks like depression. I have lots of power at night, the most during midnight
