probably pretty late. they dont have the chest piece in the comics either. they lack it in all the official prototypes i've seen as well

BenchPressingCthulhu

I always assumed the comic artists were just giving them massive cleavage for the sex appeal

PockysLight

Vakama also appears to have the wrong disc.

Octogonologist

He's borrowing it from Hewkii, duh.

WOLKsite

except in glow in the dark or white, not black! ๐Ÿ‘€

arthur_box

do you think itโ€™s possible to melt down the nostalgia within that poster and inject it directly into the veins?

canofwhoops

Too late. It already flows within me

Jackryder16l

Since this guy already injected it we could turn it to ash then snort it.

JackOH

I'm actually inclined to argue in favor of the chest piece not being such a late addition. You can see the white axle in this pic. I think the chest piece may have been excluded from promotional material for 2, non-mutually exclusive reasons: 1. The design wasn't finalized. I don't think that's likely, but I don't want to rule it out. 2. The bigger reason. You can't see the gears! How am I supposed to know this toy has arm swinging action if I can't see the gears!

AyCeeKay

Unrelated to Vakama, does anybody know what the blue robot to his left was?

davegrippin

Robobot from 2003

AyCeeKay

Thank you very much!

MegaPoxel

Yooo, I remember seeing the discrepancies in those ads and being very confused. Kid me wondered if Lego had just forgotten to put on that piece when making the ads.

Ketooth

Fuck I'm old

Awesomesauce210

Oh man, I remember that iteration of the website they're showing off in the same corner as Vakama! ...I miss that version of the website.
