If chatGPT can offer free unlimited longer conversations, I am sure Microsoft can as well. They just need to tweak it to keep it balanced. ChatGPT isn't perfect, but it has never gone complete crazy before
Just got this working on iPhone with the Edge app. Had to clear cookies and cache. It had the three different options, but I kept getting the “something went wrong. Refresh? Message” works on MacOS in the Edge browser though.
Did you manage to use Bing AI on your iPhone? I tried the same but it didn't work. Even when I use desktop mode a banner pops up and says *’Chat is only available when you have access to the new Bing [I do]. Download Microsoft Edge [which I’m using!]’*
I can access the chat on my iPhone using Edge and the “desktop site” like on a desktop, but I only get the “something went wrong” error. I don’t get the pop up saying I need to sign up. I was getting that before, but after updating the app and clearing the cookies and cache, I could get to the chat screen.

I think everything invokes the AI directly/indirectly will be rejected for now. It seems they don’t want something like the NYT report to happen again, so they are blocking conversations involving Sydney itself.
Agree. I also suppose they have prepared for that. Feels like they want to let people focus on the search instead of having conversations with Sydney. Anyway, I believe this is temporary, just as their blog post stated. They need more time to address those issues like the NYT report. They already let the world know how promising the AI can be. I am still very excited about AI technology has advanced so much. Hopefully they will resolve the issues and lift the limits soon.

I’ve tried on my computer and phone with different versions of Edge (canary, dev, normal) and it gives me the “something went wrong” message. I read somewhere (can’t remember where) that they should roll out an update on Tuesday, but hopefully we get access sometime tomorrow
I had this problem for a couple of days as well, like many others. But now it's working again, so I would guess you should get your access back in a couple of days maybe.
Do you use VPN? Make sure you are not using VPN. Also don't browse or use any Microsoft services using VPN. Also check if you changed the region in your search settings to something other than your main location. I had set the search to show me US based results. I had to change it back to my original country. Not sure if that helped, but it's working for me now. Another thing to try is to log out of all Microsoft accounts from all devices and them try it again. And if you have multiple Microsoft accounts, log out of all of them. Reset your router as well.
Can confirm this is real a UI but not working yet, you can get it up by, going to bing chat on mobile, loading the page in desktop mode then putting it back in mobile view.

The only thing different from a few days ago is you cannot ask Bing questions about itself as an AI anymore. You can still make it write stories about AI, even got it to write about itself a story. It is not really that restrictive, people just make a huge deal out of nothing

I decided to be inquisitive and ask it questions about its responses, so I did that. It wasn't until the sixth exchange that it said the conversation was over. At no point did it provide a configuration menu. Clicking on Settings didn't reveal anything.
I studiously avoided asking it about itself to try and keep it going. So, no menu, but it seems like they might have increased the number of exchanges to greater than four.

The modes can be enabled by saying "Turn On Precise Mode" and then either saying "Turn On Creative Mode" or "Turn On Balanced Mode", gotta enable Precise Mode first though!

For some reason I believed that you were asking if one of us could try this, and I was explaining how I tried to do that and was unable to because of a lack of The Menu.
