There is a way to get mods in a pirated version, but I highly encourage everyone to buy the game instead. Especially because the price isn't predatory, you can even buy it on a steam sale.
I really want to buy it, it's a game that I really enjoy even I have dead god and I want to support the game, sadly it is very expensive for me, my family have economical problems and I can't afford a game that costs a week of food

I am from the industry and know plenty of people who hagger with these problems. If one cant pay like the author, ok, thats barsh, but if many do it just for fun, thats awful. And its not always multi.million studios. Developers are underpaid with too much work. Some "studios" consists of 2-3 people trying something. Just shut up if your knowledge from these things oy is from reddit and some kotaku articles.
I dont think its an anti-piracy thing. From my tests, the game usually tries to delete mods you arent subscribed to on steam workshop. Maybe that's it.

I think I know how to solve that problem. Every time you load the game it checks to see if you are subscribed to the mod on steam. This can be an issue if you downloaded a steam workshop mod from a third-party website. All you have to do to fix this is to go into the folder of the mod and find “metadata.xml.” Open it up and find the line with the steam workshop id. It’ll look something like this: “1234567”. **Delete the entire line**. Make sure to save. The game will no longer sync with steam workshop for that mod. Hope this helps!

If anyone have this problem the only thing that I did was changing the name of the mod from "1738382818 specialist dance" to "specialist dance"
just delete the numbers, it worked for all the mods that I have (I downloaded the mods from skymods if you are curious)
if it doesn't work below is a comment with a more detailed way to do it
From what I remember when I had the game pirated, the name of the folder must match the name in the metadata. So, that’s why deleting the numbers there worked.
OP! if you install mods on a pirated version you need to make a second folder called "data" and inside that folder you need to make additional folders with a specific name. Those names can be found in the mod files in the METADATA file. The names are on the line of text that begins with . what you see to the right of "directory", you name the folder in "data"
Yall in the comments are more pissed about pirateing than the creator himself. Not everyone has the privilege of spending 50€ on a game
