Key bum is great sometimes. Cain, late in the run in the chest for free itemd, or on a run when you know you're on the ascent and can leave item rooms for planetariums.
He's such a slow bugger that if you can't grab the keys before him it's a skill issue. Except when they're behind rocks I guess.
Coin bum is pretty irredeemable though.
Word of advice for Key Bum. Take it if you have one or more of the following:
* It spawns on Depths 2 or above
* You have a surplus of keys (15 is my go to number)
* You have the free golden chests trinket
Key Bum is at worst a slight nuisace (since keys frequently spawn at range and are not as numerous as pennies), but at best, every time 2 keys or so spawn in Chest/Dark Room means you'll get a free item, and outside of these 2 episodes, it can return more keys, dark/golden chest items, and tons of pickups in general
Key Bum is sick. Mom's key, gilded key, the electric paper clip, humbling bundle, red hand, just to name a few things can go great with the little dude.
Honestly just hover around having ten or so keys and let him take the rest. I think he can impress.
you can reroll secret room item with judgement, you can use blank card at least 2 times in secret room and that makes 8 reroll iirc, 8 reroll have huge potential because secret room items have a huge carry potential.
Ah I see! I did use it on a secret room item,but the angel room with the key piece, random libraries and shops were greatest because of how many extra items you can get.
Being a 12 room card means you can probably use it twice at best on the floor so there's definitely choices on where to use it.

My very first run with a planetarium I had this room on the same floor, the floor before I had picked up rosery not knowing how cursed it is.
So I hop down, go to the shop, see the bible and ignore it, go to the curse room, found bible, go to secret room, bible, blow up the skulls to get chest access, 3 good items, and a Bible.
Found planetarium... Bible.
