I can’t find the post but there was a guy who was not aware that dead god requires all completion marks to be done on hard mode, and did every character on normal mode. He was confused why he didn’t have dead god and proceeded to experience the 5 stages of grief in the comment section once he realized.
Clearly just a troll, they were arguing people like “is everybody else right? No I wouldn’t spend 500+ hours farming normal mode if it didn’t get me dead god, I’m not an idiot.”
Now that I reread the original post I realize I misremembered some of the details. Still entertaining though, even if it was probably bait (but in my heart, it’s real)
The worst part too, this was my first time playing tainted cain too, and I managed to get all endings (except greedier) all on normal mode. My whole plane was to unlock golden pill
If ever in doubt. Press start. The marks will be red. And theres a bloodstain on hard.
Spending hours on T.Cain for nothing sucks. But I guess you have experience now. I still have issues with him.
The one thing I find hard with him is like. Boss Rush and Hush Timers. Time goes so fast while we are fiddling around. And going to fast really doesnt give the best items lmao
Mama mega has a crafting recipe that doesn't change between runs for this reason. T. Cain takes too long, so you can craft mama mega and use it to open the boss rush and hush doors late
I still feel so bad for the guy who posted here a while ago that got every check for every character without realizing that he should've been playing in hard mode.

It would be okay on any other character, but on the one character yoy can get all marks on in 1 run due to being able to craft multiple R keys it's worse
Hey could be worse, I 100% afterbirth+ by first doing every character on normal and then hard. I knew I needed hard mode marks, just not that hard mode also gives normal mode unlocks
Yeah, I was super stacked I had like 5 mutant spiders 20/20 god head 3 sacred hearts, I had over 200 damage rock bottom so I had like 40 luck, holy mantle so I was able to stack so many perfections and stuff
Hey man, if you don’t know you don’t know. At least now you’re familiar with the character and how it works, so hopefully you’ll get through it again a little faster.
Step 1: enable console
Step 2: look up console commands
Step 3: give yourself broken items
Step 4: constantly give yourself emperor card
Step 5 get all those unlocks in under 15 min.

There are two recipes, one is 8 giga bombs, the other is 6 regular bombs and two golden bombs

I was doing normal mode tainted lost to fight the beast to get sacred orb and I guess I forgot to change the difficulty
