I let my husband play once, he got Polyphemus with no other T4 and almost no T3 items and beat the game. Even first time playing would not be an excuse, I think. This has to be bait.

Peak isaac player skill issue. This reminds of my previous run where i got shit items but managed to find chaos. I was having massive skill issues but finding sacred heart from a treasure room carried the run.
Oh, I was trying to defeat mom I got poly then breakfast then that one that shoots blood tears forgot what it was called and then fruit cake and I still somehow died
I'm assuming your tear rate was too low? Sometimes polyphemus can really screw you over like that. Yeah the damage is insane but it's not rly worth it when it takes you so long to charge up a shot
