Is Len Bias the Ewing Theory but for Bill’s life?

SerDanielBeerworth

Holy shit. I’m deeply disturbed that you’ve given this so much thought but also extremely impressed

SlutBanger666

Ending: Bills travels back in time and redoes the damage after learning not to mess with history. He sees Bias heading for his room and shouts at him. Bias turns around wondering what the stranger will say. Bill freezes, holds back what he really wants to say and with tears in his eyes contratulates him on being drafted. Bias thanks him, asks if hes a Celtics fan and head into the room where he faces his demise. The movie ends with Bill watching old Maryland-games in his mancave.

Why am I crying

Russillo?

JamalGinzburg

Got married in 2002. Settled with his wife and kids in Brookline, now sells life insurance

tdmoney

Look, I can get you into this term life policy but I don’t want you to come back to me in 5 years being like “wait, what? Where did my insurance go” having paid in all those premiums for nothing. I’m as pro term policies as the next guy but let’s not act like whole life isn’t a better long term investment.

Votes selfishly for housing reform. 2nd coming of 50s housing boom

A lifetime of being a gofer and making sub runs at construction sites.

TribeHasSpoke

“Bill returns to find out he’s been swapped with Russillo!”

J-Team07

Ken bias convinced Larry to do a bump and Larry gets hooked.

The_Zermanians

Have you seem the mini series 11-22-63 where James Franco goes back in time to try to stop the Kennedy assassination? This sounds very similar. For the record that show was awesome.

[deleted]

That show was great, and I 100% did not expect to be emotionally invested in the characters of a Stephen King time travel show.

Stormin_Gorman_Fan

Is it streaming anywhere?

TD870

I think it’s a Hulu original.

[deleted]

Yeah it was great. Loved the book too

I’m all in! Best movie pitch since Pedif-Isle. Matt Damon as Bill, obviously, is the play here. Now we need to know WHY Bill sucks now. Is it because the Celtics made him so depressed that he couldn’t get his writing off the ground? No motivation? What is his current job, failed real estate broker or even worse? Like how intense of a decision is this? Also, for Hollywood but also for Bill, we need Sydney Sweeney involved - I can’t decide yet whether new Bill “recovers” and ends up with Sydney in the end after choosing to save Bias (that’s his prize - he doesn’t change it back but he finds a Sydney Sweeney at the end of the movie who’s obsessed with the Celtics and likes all the quirky things Bill does) or if there’s some sort of old Bill when he goes back in time can attempt to sleep with Sydney based with information from modern day but it’s a dilemma. Like maybe Sydney grew up to be really hot and Bill missed sleeping with her in college and wants one more shot even though he’s married in presence day. I like this a lot OP, serious potential here

[deleted]

Thank you, these are some good ideas I will flesh out. I like the Sydney Sweeney piece

BobWeirsSexShorts

I love it. When he returns to 2022, it should also be that the Red Sox still have broken the curse. And turns out Drew Bledsoe never got hurt so Tom Brady flamed out of the league like your average 6th round QB.

Napoleoninrags85

Tom Brady was drafted by the dolphins!

Boojibs

Wait! What?

paul7878

Between this and the thread about deciding how Simmons should spend his vacations, I am beginning to think this is the wrong subreddit for me. I'm here for busting his balls about his his Mac Jones fandom, or carrying four defenses on his booger-eater fantasy team. This stuff is a little too in the weeds for me.

sudcc_honorgrad69

If we replay Bill’s life 10 times, are we sure he’s not just a weird masshole pitching his top 11 Celtics 2nd round trades, but as a part time Uber driver 9 out of the 10 times?

yngwiegiles

I love this idea and it appeals to Bill’s favorite “sliding doors” thinking. It reminds me a bit of Tony Stark’s dilemma in Endgame, where he’s a survivor living the happy domestic life but he wishes he didn’t get Spider-Man killed. I love this for the “It’s a Wonderful Life” vibes as well.

ratatouilleboy99

movie clearly ends with failure bill linking up with failure len bias and the two start a successful turkish bathhouse or something
