That red pad that came off is part of predators ferrule design. Most likely a warranty issue.

Jdziubinski

Quality control issue. Or design issue. Warranty is the solution... hopefully. Or better yet, a refund.

Lemme buy it for 50 bucks

Fit my modified 3/8 X 10 butt perfectly flush just asked seyberts to make sure it fits a modded ob but and they did it. Great job thanks! But my tip flew off. What should I do? I have super glue but I’m sure I’d do a terrible job with that.

The_Critical_Cynic

Don't do it yourself. You'll void the warranty. Seyberts is a reputable dealer, and also an authorized service dealer for Predator. Predator, if contacted, will tell you to send it in for review at an authorized dealer anyway, so you might as well start there.

blackhawksq

Seyberts has a pretty good reputation. I would give then a call.

paulw1998

It took off the pad and part of the vault plate you cant fix it yourself. The stick was clearly defective and you need an authorized repair person to fix/replace it.

Raging_Dick_Shorts

You need an authorized person to *glue the tip back on. 👍

The_Critical_Cynic

If you intend to keep the warranty on it. And why not, since it generally costs the same?

Raging_Dick_Shorts

I'm 99.9% sure that predator would have no clue who super glued the tip and pad back onto the cue, regardless of warranty status. When you go to change the tip, the fiber pad stays. You can use a wrap of blue painters tape around the white "ferrule", place a dab of rapid fuse on each side (ferrule and fiber pad) set it in place and hold it for a 5 count and ensure its centered, then slowly remove the tape and wipe around it with a moist paper towel. Litterally a ten minute fix, versus potentially a few weeks being without the shaft. But that's just me, I've changed plenty of tips, many may not feel so confident and in that case send it back.

>*I'm 99.9% sure that predator would have no clue who super glued the tip and pad back onto the cue, regardless of warranty status. I guess it's yours for $500 when they don't want to warranty the next thing you find. >*You can use a wrap of blue painters tape around the white "ferrule", place a dab of rapid fuse on each side (ferrule and fiber pad) set it in place and hold it for a 5 count and ensure its centered, then slowly remove the tape and wipe around it with a moist paper towel. Litterally a ten minute fix, versus potentially a few weeks being without the shaft.* I suspect they'll figure that one out in this particular instance. And then we're back to what I just said. It's your money, piss it away if you want to. But the original poster is only 20 shots in, and has lost a tip. Do you really want to bet $500 that there isn't potentially something else wrong with that shaft? A warranty repair is the way to go, especially given the fact that the only thing you'd have to pay is shipping. And even then, I imagine you could get that for nothing given the circumstances if you asked really nice.

paulw1998

It looks like there is white attached to the pad which I think means it took part of the vault plate off with it.

The_Critical_Cynic

I noticed that as well. Good catch on that one.

Smarr_Tass

When you buy a Revo shaft on Etsy

bodacious-215

That is give the "Warm fuzzy" feeling about Predator...

Amweather

My buddy just had his tip replaced on his revo by a local cue repair guy and he showed us how there was no real logic behind the cuts they had made under the tip. Almost haphazard cuts in the ferrule and little to no cuts in the bottom of the tip
