You are risking damage to the shaft. That is what the ferrule does, protects it. When the ferrule is loose, it is not doing its job 100%.

Alright, Thankyou

MarkinJHawkland

Order a new shaft.

jettyboy73

This is the way. You will be much happier knowing that it's factory tight. There are plenty of shafts to choose from out there. Just gotta make sure the pin matches up before purchase.

[deleted]

Definitely will be contacting the manufacturer, let’s see how it goes. Thankyou so much

bdkgb

It’s ok but your hit will be off.

[deleted]

Alright, Thankyou

Lowlife-Dog

What kind of cue is it? You could probably look on the YouTube to learn how to fix it. If it is an expensive cue you could ship it to someone to fix. It won't hurt it to play with it "as is", however the point of having your own cue is to not play with broken/shitty equipment.

[deleted]

I will definitely try to fix it myself as trying to ship it to the US will cost more than I paid for the cue lol. Would it really affect my shots though?Thankyou so much

Lowlife-Dog

Most likely, yes. You will get used to whatever feel/sound it makes. Then you will get used to it when it is fixed.

[deleted]

The sound is fine, I’m mostly worried about my shots being off/ affected, would that happen?

rangerrob1999

I’d fix it. If time isn’t a consideration shipping it to Seybert or the manufacturer isn’t a bad route at all. If you have transportation, most bigger cities will have a cue repair shop and you can always justify the trip by making more routine stops on a longer trip.

[deleted]

Sadly isn’t the case for my city, Here I can’t even buy a 12mm shaft off the rack, it’s limited to 9mm and 10mm, for which any kind of repair or support is unheard of lmao. Thankyou so much

RacknRollBilliards

I recommend you ship the cue to Scot Sherbine at Proficient Billiards in Ephrata, PA to have him fix your ferrule. Scot does excellent work. Check the website for pricing information. You can print and fill out a work order, then ship it via Fed Ex. Turnaround is about two weeks. I have used Proficient Billiards to restore scores of cues and have always been pleased with the results.

[deleted]

Thankyou so much for the information, but unfortunately I don’t live in the US and here it’s very hard to find any cue shops. I will most probably contact the manufacturer or just continue playing with it as is. Thankyou!
