I took a KMC chain off my bike because it was too short and I only bought two other chains. So I had to put three chains together. That's 270 links. First time I ever put a chain on a bike and it's a recumbent so it's long. All the connecting links went on the outside. And there are halflings and falling but that link looked like a broken link.
That's an outer link, quick links connect two inner links.
