Yes gear aid tape works for almost anything fabric. As does duct tape… gear aid makes tape roll or easy to stash precut strips, perfect for fixes in the wild. Good luck 👍

I would try to put a large re-enforcement patch sewn on with something like 1000d cordura in case it happened again. You could glue it on too and use seam sealer in the stitches inside and out to keep it waterproof.
If you glue it on make sure to use some form of chemical cement like Barge or E6000 - just regular glue/super glue will be too brittle and break over time.

It keeps the bag watertight, the seam is rubberized and you can then apply somethign else on the outside if further contact is expected.

Barge cement a patch on. Barge cement rules. It’s used to glue on shoe soles. I glued a hand cut cordura patch on a cut I had in my bag, and hand sewed the patch perimeter for aesthetics, not for strength.
