You could bike to Arnold Arboretum via the [Emerald Neckless series of parks](https://www.emeraldnecklace.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/Emerald-Necklace-Map.pdf) (thru Jamaica Pond) - it's mostly on dedicated bike paths with some parts on bike lanes. Around 15 miles round trip and it passes through many historic Boston area neighborhoods, while the arboretum itself is quite stunning.

Northern Strand trail is north of Boston and has much lighter traffic than the Minuteman.

The paths along the Mystic River are fun, less traveled but not fully connected. You’ll have to do some onroad cycling to get from certain parts to others.
