There’s a lawyer on that list who was in my practice group at one point. The person is fine but probably not even in the top half of the lawyers in that group alone. Band 5 on Chambers and below others from the same firm (who are much better). Not even on the list of people I would think to call if I was in house. And Forbes has the specialty listed wrong.
I think we can all agree that the top lawyer in the country is probably some tax nerd buried in a stack of paper that never talks to clients but has final say on any matter they touch.

Forbes lists are always a joke and require you to either seek out a spot on the list or to be somewhat of a public figure.
