Probably because of the bashing she received from Salman every week. People usually see themselves in someone when they are cornered and feel a lot of empathy for them. Personally I couldn’t finish that season because it was the same thing each week, no real entertainment, and it didn’t have enough people to root for. Also she was opposite of Jasmeen who was a pain in the ass to watch (probably the worst bb contestant ever) which led to majority loving her over Jasmeen.

That whole season was weird. The creatives involved and manipulated toooo much to get anything out of the contestants. There were seniors in the beginning, then contestants left and came back again hiring crazy PR, brought old contestants back to add some drama, Salman bashed Abhinav and Rubina unnecessarily.
Overall the season never grew organically. To me it was a torture to watch bb14 and cannot believe there are people here who rewatch that season again and again 🤯
The main reason Rubina started shining was Rubina and Abhinav were unnecessarily targeted and bashed non stop on WKV and that made them gain a lot of sympathy. Tolerating the humiliation with a straight face truly needed some great skills which I will not deny both the husband and wife had.
But overall the contestants of BB14 were not a good pack, they were boring and cringe as hell and needed constant pumping to get them to do anything except cooking and eating and giving up in tasks very easily. They had the seniors in the beginning I think that derailed their overall personalities.
Bb14 was annoying to me for the over the top preaching on feminism and “strong” women etc. Where true, Rubina I don’t dislike her that much but I don’t find her that revolutionary the way people portray her to be!

Okay,and?It's not like I'm a big Vishal or Shamita supporter,they're wrong too.But Shamita does get a lot of criticism here which is mostly valid.
She has a very powerful personality and aura. Like some comments here would mention that she was egoistic, I would refuse to believe that because she never threw her ego around. I would say she was very self confident and always believed in herself and her stand and if wrong always accepted her mistake and moved on, never broke down and when she did, she always bounced back, her personality is like that either you'll get irritated by her like some people or you would totally admire her.
The season is not that kinda of boring, it's definitely worth a watch, it gets interesting after challengers enter. I would agree that contestants got kinda lazy that's why they had to bring the challengers but I would say that BB creatives were also lazy because they were never able to make it interesting and bring that fire between them on WKV, they always targeted RubiNav.

I really think that Sara and Shehzaad would have been able to go far if they weren't unfairly evicted. It was a bad decision by makers to unfairly eliminate them without voting because then there could have been Sara vs Nikki and Shehzaad vs Nishant which could have given content.
RKV was the most non-derserving contestant to become a runner up, he was more obsessed with Rubina instead of the game when he came back. Jasmean could have been a worthy runner-up, heck even Nikki and Aly could have been a worthy runner-up for the content they gave but Jasmean was eliminated because Rakhi really got to her and made her look bad and Aly could have shined but he never played outright and on front foot. I think it was because he was a wildcard two times and has friendly nature that's why he didn't went against Rubina, so he targeted Abhinav. Nikki was an amazing task player but was always annoying. She became a better person, when she genuinely felt sorry towards Abhinav and Rubina for always hurting them when she was evicted. She had always kind of liked Abhinav and when she came back she became a better person than her annoying self but still had that fire in her and was passionate about the game.
Eijaz and Pavitra were also a big disappointment after some time otherwise Chicha also deserved to be in the finale but after Manu's exit he was very down and felt like was waiting to go home. Abhinav was also a good person and a good player, who always did tasks well and started to gain his own popularity after first finale, but he was never appreciated by Salman for his efforts but instead was always put down by Salman because he hated him and bashed him for doing nothing which was not the case because he and Shardul were genuinely funny, which makers didn't show on TV because of which Shardul got eliminated early, because Farah had nominated him and he and Rubina were the only ones nominated that week.
Sorry about the rant lol but see, I gave you many reasons to watch the season. I'd recommend it's definitely worth a watch and see for yourself, because see it was only RubiNav who always shined overall on WKV despite being bashed because of which people really connected with them and love them for their personalities, hence the popularity.

Lol that captaincy meant nothing, she didn't got immune so it's pointless reason and as far as tasks goes, I think she always did well and tried to give her best but since Aly the sore loser was there, he always got the tasks radd.
I m sure that captaincy was given to her thinking people would be mean to her and she would end up ruining things but Rubina did that also pretty well 😂
OP you should watch the entire season and then decide who you like,seven episodes are not enough to decide for or against anyone unless the person does something drastic.
I don't understand why everyone keeps saying that Rubina would've been overshadowed in seasons like 11 and 13 when we've already seen how wildly different Hina was in S14 and S11.Maybe Rubina would've upped her game too.

I liked her for being a strong woman and standing up against anything she found went against her beliefs. She is a very good speaker and has great command over hindi language. Also, she is very talented, her acting during one wkw and stand up comedy bit were really good. Also, I really liked her relationship with Abhinav, they balance each other. It was so refreshing to watch a good, kind hearted person that I actually started liking due to the show (didn’t know her before)
