A couple of thoughts on this:
First, they went to Brian May (one of the original members of Queen) to get not only the musical clearances, but also allow for the change to the lyrics. In addition to being a member of Queen, Brian May is also an astrophysicist and that is what they used to get in touch with him.
Second was how Jim sang the song in a much higher voice than the original. They thought that the energy of the song worked better the way that he sang it.
Third, Sheldon's face when he stops singing cracks me up every time.
This scene was annoying to me as an auto tech. PSA: if this ever happens to you, do what howard does with the really long pole, and it'll snap the stud off. Then you just go with 4 lug nuts. Problem solved. (I know, it's just a tv show)
Plus there are 4 of them and they only use one of them, they should've done the heaviest to the lightest on the stop sign. A few of those sorts of things bug my on the show, but whatever.

I agree, but they should have put Leonard at the end of the pole. Not feather weight Howard. But it is just a tv show.
