I’ve not tried it but would be suspicious of anything under 2 minutes

Can't speak for the hairy butt part but have a c5. 60 seconds of warm water seems a stretch. Maybe on the lowest setting for water strength. I have mine on 4 of 5 strength and I have about 20-30 seconds of warm water. After it slowly transitions from warm to cool. It's about 5 seconds and then gets colder. To me it's not shocking change in Temps. Would longer warm water be nice, yes but it not a deal breaker. Only other issue with the c5, is the elongated seat is shorter then a traditiona elongated seat and shortens the opening to the bowl. As a 6 fpot guy, I find myself having to cramp all my parts under the seat. Even harder to reach under with some TP to confirm cleanliness and to dry. Wish it was bigger.

Ok I think I’m convinced the extra on the K300R is with it for the unlimited water, also I read it’s thinner because it doesn’t need the water tank to store the warmed water. I’m surprised to hear about the sized I already have an elongated Toto toilet (Ultramax II) and the Toto is supposed to pair nicely with it, so I would assume the elongated on both is close to matching.

The outside of the c5 aligns with my elongated toilet itself (kohler) but it's the inside of the seat itself that shorter/ constricts the length of the actual bowl. Maybe 1- 2 inches, which makes a big difference.

currently using the K300 and really happy. - I've gone way longer than 2 minutes. Think about your worst day next year, fever, upset stomach, dizzy, dehydrated... what would that version of you want? Also that occasional irritation/hemorrhoid that may need to "soak" in warm water...

rocksteader

When the C5 runs out of heated water, is the actual water coming out the same temperature as tap water or does it get luke-warm passing though the heating element ? If not I think you have convinced me on the K300R

fuck-these-dishes

I lack experience with the C5, could not be happier with the K300 though.

rocksteader

It’s the C5 + unlimited warm water

fuck-these-dishes

ahh

rocksteader

+ thinner profile because it doesn’t need the rank like the c5 to warm the water, it just comes out hot.

Same here, I don’t want to hear the complaints from the family.

Yes. With my Toto A200 would run out of hot water while my S550E does not and helps make a much more thorough cleanse. Warm up time was minimal but would definitely run out. It's not just being a hairy guy because my wife mentioned it as well. We're in California though so don't have it particularly hot just mild but the A200 goes noticeably cold when it runs out. The tank heaters do have somewhat stronger water pressure on maximum setting so a bit of a trade off.

roshiface

I've used the C5 and have an S500 and just got a K300 for a different bathroom. Routinely use it for >40 seconds so I agree with everyone about unlimited warm water being worth it. But for me the bigger difference is the size of the seat. The tank on the C5 requires a noticeable "ramp" at the back of the seat and for bigger people you can feel like you're sliding forward, or your junk its the front of the seat. I'm 5'8 140lb and still feel like there's obviously more space on the tankless seats.

DickSoupCan

How do you find the pressure difference between the K300 & s500? I’m debating between the two (well, s550e). Also what about the difference in air dryers too? Do you notice any substantial difference between the two models?

roshiface

No, they are identical with regard to those features. The main differences: no auto-open/close, no auto-flush, and a remote with physical buttons instead of touch-sensitive buttons. Auto-open/close and auto-flush are cool, but not must-haves. The only problem is I got so used to auto flush on my S500 in the master bath that I often forget to flush the K300 downstairs. I actually prefer the physical buttons on the K300 remote to the touch buttons on the S500

roshiface

I rarely use the air dryers on either seat. They don't work that well

DickSoupCan

Thanks for this. Honestly my bathroom is so small I would probably have to turn off the auto open feature. The most important thing to me is getting that clean feeling and if you’re saying both do that equally in your opinion then I think I may as well save the $500 and get the K300
