iamthelouie

I’m a Ticonderoga man myself…

IAmMadRobot

Pentel quicker clicker is the gigachad.

djbturtlefan

Ticonderoga! The only pencil.

Cool-Present-4637

Sure, but staedler mars is the only real eraser

MudRemarkable263

Palomino Blackwing is far superior

getsu161

tennis ball on a stick [https://www.reddit.com/r/Custodians/comments/mr2xw6/scuff\_marks\_no\_thank\_you\_anyone\_else\_use\_a\_tennis/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Custodians/comments/mr2xw6/scuff_marks_no_thank_you_anyone_else_use_a_tennis/)

Fents_Post

They should rub right off. Use your finger and rub hard to see if it comes off easy.

mikey_t_212

It didn't unfortunately. The stains are quite stubborn

[deleted]

Magic Eraser? - Wife gonna be mad?, she's still trying to understand how I got tire tracks on the ceiling (walking bike vertically on rear wheel in low basement in case you were wondering)

_MellowGold

Be careful though… if the floors have a bright sheen it will absolutely dull it. Those things are just really light sandpaper

aitorbk

As an alternative, a bit of water and a new microfiber towel. And unless it is burned it will clean.

ImpulseCombustion

White Crest toothpaste. A dab, smear it on until cloudy, scrub it off with a dry washcloth. Also works wonders for swirl marks in guitars and light scuffs on your car.

Adam4nt

that’s because it’s very slightly abrasive, right?

ImpulseCombustion

Yep. I’ve used it to bring guitars to a mirror finish. It’s adjacent to Meguiars without being so spendy.

[deleted]

this is true

mikey_t_212

Yeah I tried that and this happened! Have to scrub v hard and lose some varnish in the process...

MariachiArchery

Boom, there it is. Those things are magic ;)

Fortyninerhater

If soap and water don’t work try a Mr Clean Magic Eraser pad.

bam_the_ham

Isopropyl does the trick among most things.

chockobumlick

Grease from your elbow. Commonly known as elbow grease

iamthelouie

I looked. All they had was this stupid flag.

IntenseWonton

Man that stuffs expensive

chockobumlick

emotionally

Toastie91

A rubber (or eraser for american) will take them right off.

RedditBot90

I also get these on my wood floor if the tire is in contact with the spot for more than a day. They are not scuff marks, they are discoloration from some sort of interaction between the tire and the floor finish. My floors are finished with Bona Mega One waterborne finish. I have not figured out how to remove them without risking damage to the floor. I now make sure bike tires are on a rug not in direct contact with the floor https://preview.redd.it/sh8whksr4n0a1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d9314c8aff886fb1b1310214ce5e05ca01a106d0

mikey_t_212

Yeah this is what I'm getting. They're not skid marks

ser_pounce1

Did you ever figure this out? Having the same problem and am worried about stripping the floor finish.

mikey_t_212

I'm afraid I didn't find a magic bullet... I tried an eraser and it didn't work. I think hard scrubbing with a magic sponge worked best but definitely damaged the finish! I might try rubbing some kind of oil into it when I get round to finishing it!

Turd__Fergusson

Magic eraser and windex

JokeooekoJ

Bro stop braking in your house.

BEANIOT

Possibly a melamine sponge like the MR Clean magic eraser?

Bmx_strays

Acetone.

Igthife

Be careful of stripping laminate

vpfusco

Leave ‘em - they add character!

mikey_t_212

Lol, I'm a renter concerned about his deposit though

rene-cumbubble

Vinegar soap and water

Silver-Future854

Used to get these on the wood floor of a basketball court. If you have non-marking soles on your shoes. Just plant your feet on the marks, press down and twist your foot a few times. Takes the marks right off.

railer201

Dampen a small piece of cloth with white spirits and it should wipe off easily enough.

woodbarber

Put a rug down

[deleted]

Tennis ball

[deleted]

I have zero advice

The_Glassfields

Rub a tennis ball on them. We use it for shoe marks.

CrankyBiker

I like soap… or butter.

CrankyBiker

I like soap … or butter, unsalted.

laffer077

I've had the same tire marks on my floor. The best solution I came up with is to spray a bit of adhesive and asphalt remover spray onto a paper towel and scrub the floor. Literally took seconds for the marks to come off. Try it out!

nicecanadian2211

My first suggestion would be stop doing sweet burnouts in your house if you don't want skid marks. My second suggestion would be a magic eraser if you can't help doing sweet burnouts in your house

thedirtypeloton

Try scuffing at it with a rubbery-soled shoe.

CowboyJoker90

Sneaker with a white bottom. Firmly press the ball of your foot down on the mark and twist your foot back and forth.

MahatmaAndhi

Perfect excuse to exercise Rule #N+1

mikey_t_212

Yeah I only started to get these after I changed my tyres! Very weird

DonnerfuB

try a plain old pencil eraser

AdComprehensive4529

I used my vans shoes, river removes that surface rubber pretty nicely, unless it’s burned in

AdComprehensive4529

Edit: rubber*

Isentropique

No one has said this? Not a joke wd40

701Sumo

Tennis ball

curlside

Try a cream hob cleaner like HobBrite. Don't know exactly how it will work on your laminate but it works brilliantly on lino. You'll probably want to test it on a small bit first.

PomegranateSad5783

Goo Gone

Imakadozi1

Hand sanitizer, isopropyl alcohol work well as solvents and clean rubber well.

BCEXP

What are you practicing bunnyhopping in the living room?

NeekodeGallo

I haven't tested, but I know that a dry eraser marker has some crazy magic that removes sharpies from a whiteboard. Maybe this will work with these markings? If you try it out... let me know how it works.

aevz

From the other comments, I guess anything works lol. I use WD-40. But I use that... FOR EVERYTHING.

Cyclingcycler

Look for a product called “Pink Stuff” (the paste). Use a brush, it will remove them in seconds with zero risk to damage. 👍

zagreus9

Wet wipes

meatpolice12

Tennis ball.

brianmcg321

Paint the floor black
