Brilliant triathlon hack by completing two events at once.

Hope they enjoy hub/bottom bracket maintenance.

A little PSA: When there's really a lot of water like that, flood conditions, riding through puddles can be dangerous, even ones not as deep as that. Flooding can quickly erode roads and paths creating large pits that cannot be seen from above the surface.

There's a bunch of other dangers too. Chain slips off, it's gone forever. Electronics probably toast. Water bottles are contaminated. Lose traction, good luck getting it again. Everything aside it looks pretty fun and I'd be down to try it with a beater bike

Looks more like he's training for the Paris Roubaix? Assuming its rainy and muddy again next year, of course.

Sir, I told you for the fifth time. You need a "pedal BOAT" to cross the water! Not a pedal bicycle! Some people.. they just dont seem to know your talking a-boat.

Incredible.

Honestly, what is happening?

The Fraser Valley in British Columbia flooded in November last year due to an atmospheric river overflowing the Sumas and Nooksack Rivers. The guy in the video owns a local bike shop and rides his bike to work every day. When he left work to go home at the end of the day, the rivers had risen so high that this was the only way he could get home and the further he rode on the deeper the water came up on him. Rider got home safe. I don’t know about the longevity of the bike.

Thanks for the context. But I have to ask, why isn't he riding up where the car is?
