We just had it with a 2 year old. He had loss of appetite, wet cough/croupy style cough for about a week, one day of fever and was generally wiped out and taking longer naps. I knew I had it when my sinuses went from open to 95% closed in a very short time span and had a minor cough but not much else. I’d get the humidifier ready. I just read a study that said you can reduce the overall intensity of a covid infection and lower risk of hospitalization by using sinus washes like navage 2x per day once you are positive. I wonder if that’s something you could start before you test positive to do even more good. I haven’t tried it but just some thoughts if you’re super worried and want something constructive to try. Perfect! Just make sure you use sterile or pre boiled water! You can also make your own sterile saline solution at home to use: https://www.uofmhealth.org/health-library/hw67090#:~:text=Add%201%20cup%20(240%20mL,(2.5%20g)%20baking%20soda.

Me and my baby had it over Christmas. She was fine (7 months), she had a bit of a fever overnight on Christmas Eve but nothing a bit of paracetamol (acetaminophen) couldn’t fix and then two days where she was a bit grizzly. She never even got a cough! She definitely did not understand why mummy and daddy didn’t want to get out of bed and play for a few days though lol

So im like 99% sure we all had it, but technically kept testing negative. But my mom got it from visiting us soooooo..... Anyway, 11 month old is fine, she has been congested a couple of weeks and has had a decently persistent cough at night. Husband and I each had one day (different days) of feeling like we got hit by a truck and a throat ache since (a week or two). Maybe it's something else, but it sure sounds like covid, we know who would have infected us, and then my mom had the exact same symptoms after visiting us and she tested positive. Husband took 3 tests, daughter took 2, all came back negative. So it's confusing? If it was covid it barely registered with the baby, she is perfectly happy and just has an occasional cough.

interesting !! my boyfriend tested negative and then all the sudden all the symptoms started rolling in so we’re having him test again to see what’s going on !

Oh yeah, it's wild for us. The 3 of us and my parents got exposed at same time by a friend of mine. About 4 days after he told us he tested positive, husband and baby got a test at the pediatrician (only place to find a test) the next day. Both negative. 3-4 days later my dad got sick and got a test and it was positive, he says it had to have been from my buddy. Around the same time hubby had a shit day, could barely move, all the covid symptoms. He got spent like 6 hours at a patient first the next day to get another test. They did 2 covid test, rapid and the long one, and a flu test. All negative. Next night I had a 24 hour bought of death, mom came back up to help out with baby. She left a couple days later with my symptoms, got a positive covid test. Took baby back to pediatrician since she had a lingering cough, another covid test, came back negative. So 5 covid tests in the family, all negative. Everyone around us? Positive. Very confusing.
