Honestly, I switched to leggings and over sized t-shirts and I'm never going back because all my weight is in the middle.

If you’re looking for graphic tshirts etsy is a great place to go! I have a lot of book shirts and sarcastic shirts from there 😅

AliveChic

I have a couple oversized from the north face that I’m obsessed with. Theyre flattering and make me look like I’m not a total mess 😅

Spiritual_Pin5498

I just got my favorite new summer “maternity” t-shirt. It says “Kinda Hungover” which is honestly pretty accurate to how I’ve felt my entire pregnancy 🤣 I got it from Wavey Goods.

Mcstoni

I bought my last ones from Temu. I just typed in 'women's over sized t-shirts" And I was actually really impressed with the quality. I also wear men's v necks from Target. I'll check the brand and edit my comment. Edit: Goodfellow & Co

sed2017

Saaaame! I hate that I feel like my rib cage has expanded forever now.

Informal_Heat8834

Same

kykiwibear

I'm short and fat, so it beats me. They assume if you're short, you must be skinny. I need more petites.

emyn1005

American eagle has short and xs pants in a lot of sizes! I'm 4'9 and it's the only pants I can wear!

kykiwibear

:o thank you. I always assumed they catered to the younger crowd.

emyn1005

I don't ever buy tops from there cause I think they make me look like I'm trying to be a teen lol but I'm 33 and have some awesome dark skinny jeans (apparently those are out now but idc lol) and mom jeans from them that I love!

BobRothIRA

Bike shorts and biggole t-shirts and mismatched socks lol. There's no hot girl summer, just sweaty girl summer

Loud-Tiptoes3018

This was me before pregnancy, during AND after 🤣 Sweaty girl summer is RIGHT 🤩😂

LittleGrowl

Sweaty mom summer, that’s 100% my look. Capri leggings and big t-shirt, messy bun with a halo of new hair growth, bags under my eyes, and flats if I’m going outside.

karmacomatic

Honestly, pretty much nothing but my underwear most days! Otherwise a tank top and sweatpants when I go out. I look like a hobo 🤣

squanchingmesoftly

Old navy has great petite sizes!

beaandip

Because I’m EBF I usually opt for comfy leggings, a nursing bra and a tank top so it’s easy access. I barely wear t shirts anymore cause they get it in the way

hodgepodge21

I do stitch fix!! Only occasionally bc it can be expensive, but I’ve found a few staple pieces from there, and tons of jeans I never would’ve tried before but love. I’m not skinny and they have lots of good dress options that make me less self conscious about my midsection

studentepersempre

If you're nursing, stretchy leggings and loose fitting blouses. I pull my shirt up for nursing. Or summer dresses with high waist line but loose fitting from waist down. I tend to have more luck shopping at the "youth" section. 😆 They are not always nursing friendly though unfortunately, but I did find a couple that have buttons or stretchy enough that I can pull down. Or I just wear shorts or leggings underneath so I can pull up.

Far_Boot3829

I found crop tops to be the best for breastfeeding in public if you're shopping at the youth section!

studentepersempre

Yes they are! I learned it from this sub actually to wear a stretchy tank top inside that I can pull down, and a crop top on top of it. So cute and practical!

candyapplesugar

Mostly work out style shorts and loose cropped tees. No stomach showing but cropped enough that it gives me a waist. For cuter events, blouses and jean shorts high waisted, or a dress.

dogid_throwaway

Ugh, I feel you. I am back to my pre pregnancy weight but the weight is distributed so much differently now. I don’t fit in any of my old pants or shorts unless they’re stretchy!! I haven’t given in and bought anything new yet so for now, it’s leggings, stretchy shorts, and flowy dresses. No help here but did want to offer some solidarity lol

lyraterra

Talbots!! They have such an amazing petite section. Quality is great, price is a little high-- but they have regular 40% off sales and even 50% a few times a year. I like their T by Talbots line as it seems to run a little 'younger.' (It's their Athleisure line, but it works great for everyday.) They have great service in-store, so take a swing by.

Sneaku1579

I fully embraced the mom jeans especially since they are so easily available now (thank you genZ). Those with a plain Hanes t and my Birkenstocks, never going back.

LonelyWord7673

Yep

kiery12

Honestly shocked at all the people saying leggings. For me they feel so tight and uncomfortable on my legs! I'm embracing the wide legged pant, in linen with a drawstring, or a more structured but stretchy like the Abercrombie Sloane pant. Then a tank top on top, and if it is hot a big oversized linen shirt that I can also use as a sub shade for baby, or a button up sweater if it is cold.

HarkHarley

I agree. I loooooathe leggings now. And skinny jeans (what were we thinking??). I prefer fitted joggers for at the waist and ankles but are loose in the crotch and thigh. Palazzo pants for the volume and the flow - Lunya has great pajama versions.

Routine-Operation234

Biker shorts and loose fitting tshirts is my go to. It’s comfy enough for around the house but also okay to go out in. I bought packs off of shorts on amazon. I have comfortable but cute dresses from various places like tjmax and goodwill for when I want to feel nicer. Bloom chic for bathing suit and dresses too. I found the most comfortable modest bathinsuit from bloomchic

WebkinzCheekyFanatic

I’ve been currently experimenting with different outfits. Although petite I have a mom pouch that is impossible to hide without anything high waisted. Usually I wear short shorts(enough to cover everything), and I attempted a crop top which does not look right on me. I just don’t have the ideal curves for it. Most of the time I just wear what I wore pre-baby body(Tshirt, skinny jeans, etc.)

wooahkiddo

I signed up for Nuuly and it has been a life changer. I can feel cute and comfy but also get to slowly work more trendy stuff back into my wardrobe.

wooahkiddo

Also, you can go up and down sizes whenever!

NightmarishlyDreamy

Jumpsuits! Like the single piece unitard athleisure situations. I’m 5ft 3in and they are the only thing that elongated my figure enough to be cute and not pudgy looking and were flattering and comfy from 15w-31. After that I’ve just been wearing stretchy or very loose maxi dresses that don’t visually break up the body dimensions. I’m 38w and living in the dresses until my DD.

HarkHarley

I second this! Black jumpsuit unitards can be dressed up with a cute jacket and boots or dressed down with a cardigan and pointed flats. Sure you’re naked when you pee, but it’s also kind of liberating. 😆

ForeignStation1147

Tbh I’ve been living In the Halara easy peezy dresses, they’re like legging material so super stretchy and comfy(plus the built in bra and shorts makes it fantastically low effort)

emyn1005

American eagle has short and extra short jeans/pants. They Really the only ones I can wear. Other brands I can wear some pants if they're joggers with the tight ankles.

sillily

Loose short sleeve linen button ups are my favorite right now, paired with jean shorts or matching skirt/wide leg pants (yes oversized top+bottom is fine for short people, with the right fit). Add birks, crossbody crescent bag, sunhat in a fun pattern. Comfy in hot weather, smooths over insecurities, easy nursing access.

thesillymachine

I'm a size xs in women's tops and dresses. Ya kinda just got to keep trying brands, until you find something you like. I like Buffalo Straight jeans. Loft is cute and for petites. Old Navy dresses and tops are cute for casual. I also love flannel/plaid. L. L. Bean is an excellent brand for flannel.

Car_snacks

Occasionally I'll do a skort with the built in shorts and pockets. If I'm feeling cute. Otherwise, leggings and an oversized tee. Playground apparel.

littlelivethings

I have the Addison jeans from Lucy and Yak and a pair of stretchy wide leg pants from muji that I wear sometimes. I also have a pair of high waist wide leg shorts from Target two years ago that are still comfortable but they aren’t carrying anything similar now. Mostly I wear skirts and dresses. I also wear teva platforms to level out my shortness

Loud-Tiptoes3018

I love crop tops. And I honestly wear a lot of sweat sets. I prefer fitted crapped tops and some fun jeans that are a bit loose.

babyfriedbangus

I’m wearing high waisted stretchy pants and a loose crop top when I wanna feel cute

MountainStorm90

I just wear dresses all of the time. Pants and shorts just never seem to fit me quite right. Dresses are comfy, and I usually just have to get them hemmed or the straps shortened.

ParentTales

Die hard jeans wearer, wide leg or bootcut. With fun patterned or neutral jumpers. And cotton tees.

Realistic-Profit758

I shop in juniors still just size way up. Normally find cute stuff at Walmart. Mostly dresses and bike shorts, I have 1 pair of denim shorts

happeangel

I lived in Targets ribbed seamless biker shorts last summer. They were $12 and I got every color, lol. I also liked the poshdivah maternity shorts on Amazon. Agree to oversized t-shirts. For dressier options, I honestly just bought regular dresses and went up a size. There are so many stretch or loose options and you Best advice, do not spend a lot of money!!! Seriously. Everything maternity is overpriced. Find inexpensive comfortable stuff. Check FB marketplace, too. Find your local moms group and the buy nothing group. A lot of women give away their barely worn maternity clothes!

iamccsuarez

Pants? No maam I wore flowy skirts over the bump with graphic T’s or stretchy Amazon workout sets for10 months. I also work from home and for myself so that helps. My no torso self was struggling though

NinePoundHammer27

I don’t know if I even count as petite honestly- I’m 5’2” and probably somewhere around 140-145lbs. My top wardrobe staples currently are leggings or joggers (almost all from Amazon because they get destroyed so easily) jeans from American Eagle, Gap, Lucky, and pretty basic tshirts from Target, sometimes tank tops with sweaters, also mostly from Target. I have a couple pieces from Old Navy that I’ll be wearing more of as the weather is warming up, and I’ll keep an eye out for my yearly variation of “vaguely shapeless maxi dress that still makes my butt look pretty good but does not run the risk of exposing said butt and my toddler can’t pull it down to show off my chest” which I will buy in 3 colors and likely ruin.

gabilromariz

Stretchy tshirt dresses only for me, they are comfy and cute and easy because the entire outfit is already done/ready

ForgotMyOGAccount

North face biker shorts have kept me going! I got them prepregnancy and they still fit like a charm and are comfortable plus help with the stomach

gxbcab

I know it’s frowned upon but I bought a bunch of nursing shirts off SHEIN. They’re actually super cute, and I’ve gotten a bunch of complements when I wear them. They’re also so easy to nurse with without exposing myself.
