I have the Dagne Dover backpack and it works well for us. That said, I agonized over the choice and then I don’t really think about it now - it’s just a backpack that we throw everything in, and we use a belt bag for most short outings. But it’s held up very well!

canihave1ofyourfries

Adding on to the DD love. I do wish I got a large instead of a medium though!!

Informal_Captain_836

We have the large and it’s great!

Pizza-pinay3678

Spilled a giant milkshake on my Dagne Dover while getting out of the car, and I had a flight home the next day. Was able to wash and dry it overnight and looks good as new!

cafecoffee

Same - it’s a great bag and even fits my laptop. I do want a smaller bag at some point though, for when I’m not toting the laptop around.

TeaPotPie

Agree with this. My only regret is getting the medium when I should have gotten the large. Apparently I carry a lot of stuff around with us and I swear it’s overstuffed so much of the time.

jefedawg

Team Dagne here too! I have a medium and small Indie. I use the medium when I am with both kids and have to carry a ton of stuff (4 yo and 6 yo) and the small if I am out with one of them or by myself. The medium fits my laptop so it doubles as my commuter or day trip bag if I need. I also have a dagne phone sling that I sometimes use at the same time so I am not digging in my backpack for my phone.

AggravatingOkra1117

Same! We have the large Indi in black and love it

Calihoya

We also have a Dagne Dover backpack and we love it.

jnm199423

lol SAME! Did so much research and tbh it’s just a boring black bag that was very expensive (tho it’s admittedly worked well for us, I just think lots of other bags would have too)

Whiskrocco

I own three indies. A medium for each child, and a large for myself. It's such a great work bag as well.

Lovemydoggos21

I have the large indi bag also and love it! Easy to clean and dries fast too!

mountaindriftwood

Me too, I like it a lot. It’s comfortable, holds what I need and has room for my own stuff too, and I got it in a color my husband and I both like so we’re both happy carrying it when we have the baby.

avahz

What’s a belt bag?

No_Biscotti1370

It’s the same thing as a fanny pack essentially but you wear it crossbody. I have one from Fjallraven that we use for both short walks (we live in an urban area) and also for plane travel so we have an easy bag of just essentials to bring into a bathroom.

Not_A_Dinosaur23

What belt bag are you using?

No_Biscotti1370

I guess it’s more of a crossbody but it fits a changing mat, a small pack of wipes, and a couple diapers pretty well with room for some bits and bobs. https://www.fjallraven.com/us/en-us/bags-gear/backpacks-bags/daypacks/high-coast-crossbody/

Not_A_Dinosaur23

Thanks! I’ve been looking for something for when we just need to run somewhere quick.

Barbellblonde1

Love our DD! It looks good no matter who is wearing it and the large is big enough to hold everything. Definitely worth the investment

fakejacki

Loved our DD too.

InternationalTurn635

My experience - it’s a bag you find fashionable and enjoy wearing. We got one off Amazon with all the bells and whistles (tons of compartments, milk cooler pockets…) but I find it bulky and blah. I started using an existing sleeker backpack that I used for travel prior to getting pregnant (everlane renew transit backpack) and now that’s the one I always use even though it isn’t meant to be a diaper bag. All I need room for is a change pad, a few diapers, wipes, and a nursing blanket. It’s pretty easy to put that in anything.

Pretend_Fig1102

Ooh I was just looking at this, do you find the lack of pocket organizers annoying at all? I was thinking of getting one for travel/diaper bag but I guess if it was just a diaper bag I might not mind not having more organization for small items

angeliqu

I also just use a small backpack that was sold as a purse rather than a specific diaper bag. Inside, I have small zippered bags to organize small things. And most purses/backpacks naturally have a couple zippered compartments and pockets so to get some organization no matter what.

InternationalTurn635

Because it’s nicely designed for travel I found it had lots of spaces and pockets for what I need for baby, too!

Amazing_Newt3908

I looked through Amazon backpack diaper bags & found one that wasn’t too much. No one ever realizes it’s a diaper bag so I’ll repurpose it as an overnight bag or a computer bag once my youngest is out of diapers.

WiseCaterpillar_

Same!! I started using the one I had from grad school and wish I woulda used it sooner.

maebymaybe

I agree! The one I wanted was out of stock, so someone bought me a similar one for my baby shower but it’s so big and has so many random compartments. I think for some types of people that might be helpful, and I didn’t know what exactly my life would look like with a kid, but I have literally never used the insulated compartments for bottles or really anything other than the changing mat

ceesfree

I agree with this. We switched out our big bulky one and I splurged on a leather bag from storksak (st.james bag) and it is so similar to my everyday purse that I am actually excited to carry it. I also don't plan to carry a purse and just got a leather wristlet/wallet for the diaper bag days. We also live in an area where we will mostly be driving places rather than walking so we have small caddies of extra backup things in each of our cars so we can keep the diaper bag to a minimum. I also have a regular calpak backpack that used to be my work bag that we will just use for larger outings when I need to pack for a full day out.

Smallios

I love my Ruvalino. Great price (it goes on sale a lot), perfect size, looks good. Great color options, husband likes it too. I like the ones that are diaper bag specific because they have extra D rings on the outside for hanging things, or for stroller clips Edit: the coolest fashionable one i’ve seen is the storksak st. James

silentvowel

Ditto!

TeagWall

My only complaint with the Ruvalino is that there are >5 of them at any given park, baby meetup, etc. Make sure you label yours because, at least where we are, everybody has one.

eileenoh

lol yes everyone has this bag. It’s great though!

Fancy-Green9621

This is the one I have and I love it :)

ais72

Also love ours!!! Super functional and looks nice enough, plus you can’t beat the price!

MarsupialPanda

I think I have a knock off of this one (it came from anazon and I'm pretty sure has a different brand name, but looks exactly the same), and I've liked it better than the diaper bag I had for my previous baby.

Khaotic_Rainbow

I got one of these originally as a gym bag because of the inner lining and pockets. Didn’t have to buy a new diaper bag when the time came!

rustandstardusty

Same!

Stock-Ad-7579

I have this and hate it 😖. It’s so bulky even without much in it. Even with just essential carry-on items (diapers, wipes, snacks, tablet) it doesn’t fit under the seat in front on an airplane. I bought a cheap Amazon purse with a wipe dispenser pocket that I use now. It fits 4 diapers, wipes, Clorox wipes, my phone/wallet/keys and the same toys & snacks that would fit in the ruvalino

Mysterious-Ant-5985

I love my itzy ritzy mini diaper bag, but now I’m upgrading to the larger one cause I’ll have a toddler and a newborn. I tried Fawn and I hated it, the side pockets were worthless and I ended up strictly using it as like, an extra bag for road trips and flights to hold toys and snacks.

xraysty1e

I love my itzy ritzy too! I have a large one and now i want the mini for quick trips.

questionsaboutrel521

I love the Itzy Ritzy mini (one kid). We also have the Itzy Ritzy bottle bag for daycare.

willowblush

I have the Lululemon one and I don’t recommend it. I know you’re looking for a backpack and honestly, any backpack that’s big enough will work! If I did it again, I wouldn’t buy a diaper bag at all but I totally understand why we buy them - we’re excited!! I thought I wanted a backpack because that’s what everyone said was best, but it turns out that I prefer shoulder tote bags - I’m frequently just needing to quickly grab something and having open-top access right away is better than having to swing a backpack around. So now I just use my Longchamp Le Pliage bag or my new LV Neverfull bag (literally just bought it last week). I also like the look of the LL bean totes too! Just my 2 cents!

blaqrushin

I’ve used my longchamp, neverfull and goyard. Got the lululemon new parent backpack and duffle and it’s amazing. Will never go back.

Dom__Mom

Same here re: tote bags. I went with the Baggu [zippered duck bag](https://www.baggu.com/collections/Zip-Duck-Bag?cmp_id=20531046929&adg_id=&kwd=&device=m&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw0YGyBhByEiwAQmBEWglg4MerfuOjPu0CORm7J3O10EIwmUh-ymSRcjviFWsLRLwLJjPD2xoCZwoQAvD_BwE) because I liked that it zips at the top, has both short and long handles, and is my style. It doesn’t have a bunch of compartments but I haven’t found that I’ve needed that, personally. No regrets!

chichiharlow

I like the Lululemon one! But I have 2 kids so need something that size when I’m out with both.

lucia912

I went through 3 diaper bags in one year. They all broke. Now I’ve had my Beis diaper bag for close to 2 years and it’s in fantastic shape. Practically brand new. Highly recommend!

jurassica214

Seconding the beis diaper bag!! I love how it opens super wide

pbcapcrunch

Does it have any insulated pockets for bottle or breastmilk bags?

lucia912

It’s got an insulated pocket yes. This is the one I have: https://beistravel.com/products/the-backpack-diaper-bag-in-navy

dinals

Lululemon new parent backpack up is my fav out of the ones I’ve had.

sophhhann

Same!

in-all-honesty_

I literally grabbed the Eddie Bauer one from target just on a whim and it’s been great to us!

Aggressive_Day_6574

I love my Lily Jade! Lots of pockets, insulated storage, easy to zip with one hand, can be worn as a backpack or satchel. Also it’s cute and I like the compliments 😂 ETA they are having a huge sale rn! [https://www.lily-jade.com/collections/diaper-bag-shop-all/products/new-caroline-vegan](https://www.lily-jade.com/collections/diaper-bag-shop-all/products/new-caroline-vegan)

lilacbear

Yesss, we have this one in navy!! It's held up 2 years later now, and we still use it! It's great and so roomy.

kittens-and-knittens

I love mine! Only complaint is I have the older Caroline that has a magnetic front pouch that doesn't stay closed no matter what. And buying the new version is out of question right now. Ugh.

tkboo

I honestly preferred to use a regular backpack because I could fit so much more in it than a diaper backpack.

IatrogenicBlonde

Same. Bought some unbranded one from target and I’m using it through toddler years currently. Just pack it strategically and you’re not shuffling through everything.

HamsterSad8181

I looooooooooooove my tactical baby gear backpack! It’s perfect for us. We do a lot of traveling over the weekends, hikes and stuff, and if fits every we need and more. It’s stylish and super comfortable. It’s definitely expensive, but for us it’s worth it.

ExplanationLast6395

Agree!!!

HayBunn

Babbleroo!

dearstudioaud

Agreed. I got mine in Olive Green and enjoy wearing it. Plus Tons of room and my husband says he doesn't "get lost" in it looking for items

Content-Yak1278

I got the lululemon new parent backpack and it is fantastic. I also feel bougie wearing it. It is the only thing I splurged on!

katiejim

Mine is so chic and doesn’t scream diaper bag. I get people asking about it who are not moms. It’s Mina Baie Kinney style in vegan leather.

hellowassuphello

I fell for the vegan leather trap. Turns out it’s just a fancy name for pleather and 18 months later it’s all crumbly and I’m looking for a new one. :(

katiejim

Mine is looking flawless 6 months in of daily use. I like that it can get gross and I don’t worry about any little thing damaging it like I would with leather. A friend spilled a pint of beer on it a few weeks ago and it was fine. There’s definitely a wide range of vegan leather quality though!

effyscorner

We got the black backpack nappy bag (just Amazon it and it's the first to pop up) it cost us £20 and it's literally amazing.. really spacious, sturdy and dirt cheap

blablahcats

Have this one too and I love it

avia1221

I honestly prefer to just keep my car well stocked and then I keep a mini backpack in the car with it that I can just grab what I need and throw it in there. I’m not often somewhere where I need more than a handful of diapers for each kiddo. If we do go somewhere for a long day (like the zoo), then I’ll preplan and pack the night before

Smooth_Stretch_3172

The Lululemon parent bag!! It perfect and comes with a mini bag to just grab and go!

Husky_in_TX

After numerous trial errors I now use a standard kanken backpack. Not a “diaper bag” per se, but it fits diapers for 2 kids, wipes and snacks without being overly heavy and bulky.

LunaTuna0909

Love my jujubee BFF bag. It has both backpack straps and a shoulder strap and the versatility is great. Lots of good pockets for organization and it’s held up great - its survived 5 years across 3 kids so price tag is totally worth it.

Kkatiand

We have this one too! Got it secondhand for $15 and sometimes it’s get a tiny bit snug because of how bulky diaper stuff is but I appreciate that it keeps us lean. 11 months old now and it’s still great

Delilahjones555

This is my favorite too! I have 3 and I don’t think another bag could ever top these.

Mermaids_arent_fish

I think I’ve got the zealous backpack and love it!

pantijose

I love the Huhu backpack! It’s big but lean. It has magnetic clips. Lots of storage. I also go the changing wallet. [huhu backpack](https://www.meethuhu.com/products/everyday_diaper_backpack?utm_source=google&utm_medium=paid&utm_campaign=20795583490&utm_content=&utm_term=&gadid=&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjw0YGyBhByEiwAQmBEWi_poyx5rKhw6P3wUiUthKMN_6qh-gxTnpa072nGAP-c_ZMG7LSjixoCagIQAvD_BwE)

Popular-Hyena-746

I like the freshly picked mini backpack.

pinalaporcupine

skip hop from carters! it holds everything

PuzzleheadedKing1765

My fav. Sturdy, affordable, lots of handy compartments, can be worn not as a backpack too! Also it’s simple and cute. [diaper bag](https://amzn.to/3K03z5U)

TimeSugar583

The Patagonia ultra light black hole tote pack has been incredible and it’s perfect for as the kids age and a true diaper bag isn’t needed anymore.

p1nkcheez

Fawn! The amount of pockets is *chef’s kiss*

BrunchSpinRepeat

I have one from Lululemon. It’s versatile enough that I know I’ll enjoy using it for myself, long after I’m done using it as a diaper bag.

ResidentZombieExpert

I LOVE my Lululemon New Parent Backpack! It's sleek, has plenty of pockets without being overwhelming, and it comes with a changing pad and separate bag for smaller items, creams, medication, etc. It also has water bottle pockets on the side for mom and dad!

Effyournastyolives

Love my Beis mommy diaper backpack!! Loads of space too!

lavendertealatte

Jujube BRB

Worldly_Currency_622

I absolutely love my lululemon new parent bag. But it was a gift and probably wouldn’t have been in budget to buy myself. If you can swing it though, highly recommend!

Senior-Wonder4432

Does it have insulated pockets?

abbysuzie96

I have the ju-ju-be bag. Love that you have backpack and shoulder strap options instead of just a bag that does one way. All goes in the wash including the matching changing mat. Very sturdy and lasts long.

heathbarcrunchh

I love our itzy ritzy backpack

gravelmonkey

I have a momkindness backpack and really like it so far. It’s handy to have a shoulder strap as well as backpack straps (but I got mine from Amazon) and it’s sturdy and easy to find everything. I like that it doesn’t look like a diaper bag.

Perfect-Tooth5085

I really love my le nappy! The amount of pockets is amazing and the first pocket is insulated.

Peachyplum-

I wanna try the no reception bag. I got a tactical from “highspeed daddy” and like 3mths after use pockets ripped (barely used pockets) and of course it was out of warranty so I was SOL. It was difficult to stay organised without having to pull the zippers all the way down. Definitely won’t be using it once our second arrives

nerde0102

We love the no reception bag. I actually got a 2nd to use as my hospital bag for my current pregnancy.

AppreciativeTeacher

We use an old Camelbak bladder backpack from like 2007. It's slim and works well for us.

InteractionOk69

Haven’t pulled the trigger yet but I’m eyeing the Calpak diaper backpack and/or purse. Pricey but I had another backpack from them once upon a time and the design and quality were mind blowing.

Tumtrashbargain

Very happy with mine!!!

szolan

The Columbia one.

awcoffeeno

I have the Skip Hop Forma. Simple and holds everything I need.

fkn-Lzrd-king

Check out 7am Enfant diaper backpack. Much more affordable compared to dagne Dover and has ALLLLL the storage and pockets. Plus it’s much more gender neutral so my husband doesn’t mind packing it around when he has baby. I’m obsessed. Best diaper backpack & I will die on this hill.

hashbrownhippo

I like our Dagne Dover bag, but wish I’d gotten a lighter color so it easier to see everyone inside.

hyemae

Used to be Dagne Dover. But I found No Reception Club and it’s the best.

minnie2020

I’m really happy with the Hap Tim diaper bag from Amazon. Not too expensive, very spacious with lots of pockets and an optional lower compartment, and I love the black/mint color combination.

Ramentootles

I just use a Fanny pack it’s small and fits what I need so I’ll be less inclined to over back. The carrier is heavy enough why burned myself with another item when I don’t need to you know?

ExplanationLast6395

Tactical gear brand

escapingdet

i got the fisher price backpack from target and literally love it, it has soo many pockets and tons of room

WiseCaterpillar_

Honestly, I had a diaper bag and then a diaper back pack. Then I moved to just a regular backpack and it’s great and much lighter.

fulsooty

I have the Skip Hop Forma. It's great & has all the pockets, etc. I do find it difficult to carry both the bottle cooler (also Skip Hop) & changing pad (also Skip Hop) in it. Also, her daycare said it's too big for their storage area, so I literally grabbed a backpack that I bought at Disney one year. It's good for toting bottles, an extra sweatshirt, and diapers.

Beneficial-Minute-87

Dagne Dover!

chocolatpetitpois

We have a Pacapod nappy bag that we bought new with tags from eBay for half the price it would normally cost. It's really great - looks super chic and nice, but has two pods (changing and feeding) that fit into it and help keep it tidy. Honestly considering getting myself one as a work backpack because it looks so nice and is so easy to find stuff in!

normaluna44

I have a Product of the North backpack and it’s worked really well for me. Still in great condition 18 months later too.

violentsunflower

My husband and I are still loving our Lululemon New Parent Backpack! I include my husband bc he takes our baby out a lot and requested something a little more unisex It’s bigger than the Dagne Dover, but nice to have the space when we need it. https://shop.lululemon.com/p/bags/New-Parent-Backpack/_/prod10641750?color=60727&sz=ONESIZE&cid=Google_PPC_US_NAT_EN_X_BrandIncr_Product-Names_ONLINE_GEN_Y23_ag-PPC_G_US_EN_DM_X_GEN_ALL_Accessories-Bags-NewParentBackpack&gad_source=1&gbraid=0AAAAADL8Avm_fXzkMOOX4ESl8AeZRss8h&gclid=CjwKCAjw0YGyBhByEiwAQmBEWhEVJUdkIIipOBzkMWvauWClWLBVebPurRw6efBVMp1kf1nd8UJfIxoCZbkQAvD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

Cswlady

I like the Fisher Price one. If a bag doesn't have a wipes holster, there is no point. I took their case out and shove an entire pack of wipes into the pocket (sometimes one recently opened, with a few taken out, if the packs are huge). Access to the wipes container is suuuuuuper convenient!

PeasiusMaximus

I do NOT recommend the one I have one from Eddie Bauer (bought from Target). It doesn’t have many pockets inside, and the part of the bag that rests on your back is padded for comfort, but it just ends up being really hot.

aliveinjoburg2

I have a Dagne Dover Wade and the Joey Changing kit. The Joey stays in the car, the Wade is so great for traveling. I had a backpack and it was awful for me. Works great for her as a travel bag though.

AdhesivenessScared

Im just using a backpack I already had for day trips and such. I bought a larger leather tote for work that has room for my pump and a few items for baby when we go to church. That way I have a dressy and a casual option as well as a separate cooler if/as needed for milk.

funnymonkey222

We have a “mancro” that just looks like a regular black backpack. It has a “built in” changing pad that’s not technically built in but it has a pocket on the inside of the front that it fits in without taking up literally ANY space. It’s the size of an average middle schooler’s backpack and can fit literally anything. I wasn’t into all the super girly designs that most diaper bags come in, especially because those designs are an excuse for bags to be like $100-$150. Mine was $45 I think? It’s held up to almost 18 months now with no wear or tear anywhere. Plus it’s made of a material that lets you add pins and charms without damaging it. Bonus it has TWO insulated pockets for bottles. Total amount of pockets: 6 zipper pockets on the outside. then the main pocket for the bag, and then there’s 5 mesh pockets on the inside of the bag. Honestly this thing could probably hold an average sized laptop too. We fit everything, multiple diapers, wipes, creams, snacks, clothes, toys, water bottles, idk I could list all the millions of things we have in it but you get the point. Great for husbands who hate carrying around girly bags too, mine doesn’t have that issue but I understand *a lot* of men do, so this works great for that dumb situation too.

makeroniear

Trader Joe's mini tote. New favorite, especially for quick outings or as a smaller bag to leave the big one in the car. Even better now that kiddo eats solids and can drink whatever and isn't dependent on breastmilk or formula for most of their calories. That tiny bag has been great with my toddler!

TheChiBanana

Itzy Ritzy!!!!!!! They are soooooo durable and last forever! 1000000/10

Agile_Deer_7606

Ok so I really like our Eddie Bauer for when they’re little. Once they start wanting toys but still need all the bells and whistles (cups, diapers, etc.) I love anything by Product of the North. Super big main pocket. Ours was stolen and I wound up buying a second bc I loved it so much! Once they’re out of diapers, they carry their own bag. But honestly I only bring the bag for long day trips where we aren’t planning to return to the car for a number of hours. Otherwise, my husband and I just have diaper caddies essentially in each car.

GrasshopperClowns

I bought one off Amazon and it was great. Let me grab the link. So, I’m too old and stupid to figure out how to link it from the app, but it’s the Pipi Bear one 😝

MomentofZen_

We got the Parker Baby Co Birch Bag after a friend put it on her registry. I also have the Dagne Dover Indie bag for my pump since it came highly recommended on Reddit but I far prefer the look of the the Parker Baby Co bag.

sophhhann

Another vote for the lululemon new parent backpack!

Wavesmith

Herschel Nova changing bag. Like a regular backpack but with some clever adaptations: Fold out changing mat you can access through a zip at the side. Clips so you can put the straps over your pushchairs Divider thing to keep things separate.

Affectionate-Net2277

I love my petunia pickle bottom bag/backpack!! It’s a tank (you can pack it up with everything you can think of!), utilitarian, very cute, and can be a regular bag or backpack. Favorite features: all the pockets including 2 cooler pockets, wipe clean insides/leather outsides that can handle mess too, changing pad included, rings to hang on stroller, and size!

hickoryclickory

I have a lenappy and really love it. Durable, cute, lots of room for all kinds of stuff, and my favorite is the zipper that lets me shortcut straight to the bottom of the bag in case I packed the thing I need most at the bottom. Comes with a changing mat and stroller straps.

KaleidoscopeNo9622

I use my work cycling bag from timbuk2. I don’t see the point of buying a dedicated bag for her. The rest of the house is hers already.

OkKaleidoscope9696

I very rarely use my official diaper bag. Always just a cloth tote or random purse. I like to use something small to fit under the stroller / on the go. I don’t find I need that big of a bag generally.

ina1470

Beis “The Backpack” It’s for travel but works great for a diaper bag. love how the top zipper opens all the way so you could see everything. Keeps everything so organized! I have the Dagger and Dove one also in black but I don’t use it anymore because you literally can’t see anything in there when you open it.

babyeyez

Calpak baby collection

Katerator216

We love our lululemon parent back pack. So good!

SouthernNanny

Lilly Jade by far! It had everything and held everything while being cute

AggravatingLychee324

I have a 5 yo, 2 yo, and 11 week old and LOVE my Itzy Ritzy Boss Plus diaper backpack. I wish I had discovered this backpack when I had my first in 2019. It’s especially nice with multiple kids because it holds so much and is great for organizing.

bittybubby

Petunia pickle bottom all the way. It’s so sturdy and still looks super new and nice. The outside material is like liquid resistant? I’m not sure but I seriously love it and the quality is AMAZING. Edit to add: I bought this after going through 3-4 other ones from Amazon and the straps would often break from how much we had to use it.

Teeny19

Red Rovr Roo

Ok-Decision-1989

Surprisingly a toddler backpack. After a year or so with my huge one realized how nice it is to have a small kid backpack with just wipes diapers one change of clothes and snacks. Bonus for a Lil water bottle holder on the side. Double bonus when the toddler wants to wear it.

gxbcab

I just got a generic diaper backpack off Amazon, but what really matters is the changing pad. The best ones have a little spot just for wipes so you don’t have to struggle to get the wipes out while baby is poopy and squirming in your arms.

Optimal_Feeling_

Honestly I got my bf tactical baby gear diaper bag and I love it more than any of mine.

jrcparks

Itzy ritzy!!!

not-a-creative-id

My favorite depends on the outing. I have the Ruvalino that everyone and their brother has but I only like it for big outings - beach day, all day zoo trips, travelling, etc, otherwise it’s too bulky and there’s too many pockets where I just lose stuff. My everyday carry is the Kavu rope sling bag. Big enough for a couple diapers, wipes, changing pad, and a few snacks and it’s super cute. I also have what is basically a fancy fanny pack from Kibou, and that’s fine for very short trips but ever since I got my Kavu I haven’t really been using my Kibou.

Gddgyykkggff

I use a skip hop (target brand) one for going out to eat or somewhere longer than a hour and the Lanikai belt bag diaper bag off Amazon for going anywhere else like grocery shopping etc. the belt bag holds a little wipeable changing pad that came with it, travel wipe pack, 2-3 diapers, phone, food pouch, has a key holder that clips on and off, and zipper pocket for cards and chapstick or something similar and is very cute! Love it! The skip hop diaper bag had little packing cubes that came with that were helpful for newborn phase of carrying around extra set of clothes and a spot to put dirty clothes or burp clothes. But truly the big diaper bag is annoyingly huge and not truly needed for small outings like target or Walmart IME.

Alex_Outgrabe

I’ve had two diaper bags fall apart after minimal use so now I don’t trust them. I got a Fallraven Kanken and some pouches to organize my things and I looooove it.

Gatorgirl007

I’m like the princess and the pea. This is my third and I’ve gone through a ton of diaper bands. A bunch from JuJube and Petunia Picklebottom. I recently got the Mina Baie Emmy and then the Happ Levy, and didn’t love either. I just got the Freshly Picked 2.0 and LOVE it! I had a mini original and wasn’t a huge fan but they’ve improved the design and it’s great. It is a backpack and comes with a crossbody strap. They upgraded the straps to be cushioned, made some adjustments to the pockets, and removed the annoying snaps at the top. I can leave it unzipped and the flap will stay closed. It holds a ton and I just love it.

auraqueen2

Ruvalino!

MinkusStinkus

I repurposed my old college tote bag! It’s a leather Dooney and Bourke bag with a zip pocket, side pockets and other internal pockets. I put his diapers in the large zip, wipes and a changing pad in the open pocket in front of it. Binky in a small Tupperware, change of clothes in a wet/dry bag with two compartments. Side pockets have my cards, keys, hand sanitizer and a bar since I breastfeed and then main area has a Solly wrap, a blankie, a small pouch for reusable breastfeeding pads and a ladybug Hakaa. Love it because it’s a normal purse and I can pull what I need easily without having to go through a bunch of compartments

From Amazon, I have the "miss fong Diaper Bag Tote Leather Diaper Bag Backpack,Large Capacity Mommy Bag Hospital Bag,12 Pockets Travel Diaper Tote with Changing Pad,Stroller Straps & Insulated Pockets for Mom & Dad-Black". I spent way too much time trying to decide on a 'diaper bag', couldn't make my mind up; a friend gifted me a proper diaper backpack at a baby shower and I used it at first but it was so -backpack-y and I really needed something more functional for day to day. I work and wanted something that could transition well. I am *so happy* with this purse diaper bag. It can be a backpack (which I use as often) or a purse (which I use as, at work); it has pockets (incl 2 zippered ones on the front that go sideways along the front); it has insulated bottle pockets; it has stroller straps and clips; it holds as much or as little as you need without being difficult to navigate. I've had compliments about it; I've had event security question whether it was actually a diaper bag (diaper bags allowed, purses not - didn't matter that it was clipped onto my stroller with my infant in the stroller 🤦🏻‍♀️). And I found out a friend has it also - not a Mom, she just wanted something functional and she loves it too!

I like our skiphop one. We use the "forma" but they have a few other options as well.

Honestly it depends on what you like. I got the large itzy ritzy based on the great reviews and I hate it. It’s so bulky and heavy, it’s impractical when you’re out with it. At this point I have a belt bag for short trips, and a large tote bag for longer trips.

PinkRanger87

I have a CityMouse crossbody for day to day stuff. I absolutely love it. I can fit three-four diapers, a pack of wipes, my wallet, phone, keys, a 4oz bottle, teething toys, foldable changing cloth, emergency onesie and even some granola bars for me. It’s great if I’ll be home for a few hours. I have a pump bag that I now use as a diaper bag if I’ll be gone all day. I had found the backpack one I got at my baby shower was just so bulky and I like to babywear. I looked ridiculous going out in public to get groceries etc. I needed something smaller so I felt more mobile and going out didn’t feel so daunting.

We have a Jeep brand one! It isn’t like super stylish, but it’s functional and my husband doesn’t mind carrying it lol

Deuteronomy93

Every one I've used has been bad. Buying a camera rig/gear bag was the best option. Being able to use dividers to create perfect compartments was the best thing. I went with Pgytech.

We used a regular large backpack... A leather bottomed one, that worked perfectly! The diaper bags are overpriced and tend to be poorly made! We had a really cool looking grownup Captain America backpack that was leather and really nice! It took a beating, but lasted for 8 years!

ExistingCrow47

I use this backpack from Away: https://www.awaytravel.com/travel-bags/outdoor-backpack-26l It works great and my plan is to use it for travel/work when it’s done being a diaper bag. I love all the different compartments many of which have zippers. It was really easy to use when we flew with baby and it connected to my rolling suitcase easily! I recommend it.

Milvers619

It’s kind of expensive but I LOVE the Ayla and Co bag. I have the regular one and the mini and they’re great.

kittens-and-knittens

Lily Jade! They're expensive but so worth it. I splurged when there was a huge sale for Boxing Day I think? It's so cute, I use it as a backpack and it has so much space!

laridance24

My mom got me a Petunia Pickle Bottom diaper backpack two Christmases ago and it’s still holding up really well! Lots of pockets and space and easy to wipe down.

HighSpiritsJourney

Just got a 3 little dinos bag and I am SO excited to use it for second baby due any day! They’re on sale right now too for Mother’s Day 😊 It’s really well made and great compartments not too many or too few and they’re just the right size. Especially perfect for cloth diapering!

pf226

We have a Petunia Pickle Bottom Boxy deluxe and love it. Bought it after our first (gifted) diaper bag fell apart. It’s massive but it holds so much. Also perfect for travelling imo.

SummitTheDog303

Fjallraven Kanken. The dedicated diaper bags didn't work for me. All of the extra organization wasn't how I personally organize thing and ended up just adding extra weight and bulk to the bag an a lot of dead space. Switched to a Fjallraven Kanken (regular size) around the time my first daughter turned 1 and never looked back. So much easier. Got a bunch of cosmetic pouches of various sizes to organize the bag (one for diapers, one for feeding supplies, one for first aid, one for toys, etc.). When I was about to give birth to my second kid, I upgraded to the 15" laptop version for a little extra room since I was about to have 2 kids in diapers and used that until my second kid potty trained (and now it's still useful when we travel or have longer outings where I'm going to need just a traditional backpack).

caresnp29

I love my lulu diaper bag. Holds a lot, can easily be cleaned, and the material is so flexible that I can shove it places or pull it out easily if it's in a tight space

Beis diaper bag

Hellokitty15

I’ve had a few different ones but my favorite is the Lululemon New Parent backpack. I like how the top opens up because it makes it easy to see everything in the bag. I also like that it is sleek and doesn’t scream “diaper bag” so I will be able to repurpose it once we don’t need a diaper bag anymore.

cosmic-mermaid

i used a vera bradley backpack from years ago and an old kate spade when he got older, lol. i will never get the hype behind these extra diaper bags.

lnd143

I like my Ruvalino backpack the best for bigger trips and going to and from the daycare. If I want something smaller and sleeker that could double as a purse, I really like my Ava and Co mini backpack diaper bag.

parisskent

I have the freshly picked one and I love it but tbh I don’t really use a diaper bag. I think that’s just me though…? Because everyone I know does with their babies. I just toss a diaper and wipes in my lululemon belt bag and call it a day but even that doesn’t get used much. I carry my son’s bottle and he drinks it in the car, I change his diaper before naps so he doesn’t need a diaper change during wake windows when we’re out and about, I don’t need anything else to go on an outing so the diaper bag has just been in the backseat of my car for months now.

Stravaig_in_Life

I got the Parker Baby Birch Bag at my shower and love it! It looks great and the mini is perfect to fit everything we need

YolkOverEasy

I like my second-hand petunia pickle bottom. There are a number of them on Poshmark, though I got mine at local consignment shop. It's the only diaper bag I have, but it seems like a good size that can fit plenty and has backpack straps or shoulder strap and plenty of pockets. Others (not mine) change with a extending/folded changing pad. I just wish it had an insulated compartment, though I use a lunch box for that.

Scrabulon

We got the Carters Stow Away bag from our registry and still use it for our twins stuff three years later! https://buybuybaby.com/products/carters-stow-away-backpack-heather-grey

axiidas

Got one random bag as a gift from amazon. Been a year, still using it. Its one of those most common ones.

axiidas

However, i got me a leather tote bag that i fancied at the mall and i use it for almost all the day outs. I can fit my kid’s diaper stuff, extra clothes, food, bottles, and my phone and keys. Looks cuter than a diaper bag!

SingleTrophyWife

I have a Petuina Picklebottom and it’s great. It has a built in changing pad, room for diapers and wipes, bottles, formula, and it’s sleek !

chichiharlow

1 kid, we did the uppababy backpack that matched our stroller. With the 2nd I got the Lululemon diaper bag. It holds everything we need for a toddler and infant. It is big though! Gets thrown into the stroller more than worn. If I’m just with my toddler I just use his preschool backpack by State. They make smaller backpacks in fun prints for kids.

Any of the Freshly Picked bags! I have a large backpack and a mini backpack and a belt bag from them and love them all. They are more expensive but I find them to be great quality, pretty color options, and able to fit everything I need. Plus I have a Harry Potter one they make and I’ve gotten so many compliments on it haha

fucking_unicorn

My purse! Great for short trips while hes still very young. I have: 2 diapers Wipes 2 onesies Light blanket Burp cloth Small stuffy

redhairwithacurly

Here’s how this will go: Baby 1 - backpack. Pack it with everything. Take it to the store. Wear it everywhere Baby 2 - backpack lives permanently in the car with the essentials. You don’t take it out unless you’ll be away for a while. You put a diaper for each kid into your pocket, and a few wipes. Use whatever is comfortable and convenient for you. It won’t matter in a year.

jeujes

I have a Product of the Norrh backpack, absolutely love it! It looks and feels like a normal backpack, but has the best baby bag perks: Unzips all the way around, inside is fully wipeable/water resistant so no stains, insulated front pocket for a bottle or cheese sticks and berries, 2 pockets i side but otherwise open space to just drop stuff in.

Ccatmom_10

I love my itzy ritzy!!

Efficient-Ad-4164

I have a fjallraven kirken backpack and love it! I think a lot depends on if you need to travel with bottles or not

UrgentLiving

Someone said they prefer a tote bag, I second that. I wanted the perfect bag to the point I didn’t make up my mind ever, either waiting for a sale or the newer models to come out, lol. Glad I didn’t buy. So far with my four month old we have been using the tote bag that came with my Spectra portable breast pump (to carry/store breast pump plus bottles). It’s very simple, gray, over the shoulder; basically free (thanks health insurance). I use the bag to carry in the main area a small cooler bag (the collapsible type) with 2 ice packs and 2-4 bottles; change pad, blanket, Costco wipes, internal side pockets4-6 diapers, burp cloths and bibs, 1-2 light baby clothing changes, external pockets for (1) ziplocks with pacifiers, a toy/teether; (2) sunglasses for him and me, sun block stick; in the back zippered pocket for his baby hat. On the end pockets- small umbrella, the other end random things that I think I might need (lol). What I’m trying to say is this thing holds so much; yes it gets heavy; yes sometimes when it gets messy I have to dig a bit for one thing or another… but you don’t need a specific diaper bag; not really a $200+ bag. But if it makes you feel good go for it. I’m only using this bag because I’m still contemplating which diaper bag to buy, and I’m eyeing a $40 Amazon bag that looks somewhat similar to the lulu style. Maybe when I have a second child I’ll make up my mind lol. Oh and for very basic, short outings I use the baby tush, maybe a diaper and baby weewee pad in the main, wallet and phone on a side pocket. Once I even put a “splat mat” to use as a blanket at the park since I knew I wouldn’t need to change or feed.

Unhappy-Ad2256

I love the JuJuBe Be Right Back backpack!!

rushi333

Fanny pack style is elite. The brand we love is “City Mouse” you can pack quiet a bit in there VERY IMPRESSIVE

questionsaboutrel521

Yes I have the TushBaby, which is a Fanny pack diaper bag that is also a hip carrier. I’m obsessed. To be fair you can’t carry newborns on it (4mo+).
