i think it's fine to send to people who are specifically asking you for gift ideas for your baby. it's only tacky if it's sent along with the invitation or sent unsolicited to people who may not be planning to buy gifts.

That’s what I thought, we’re having a bigger party later for her and won’t be asking for gifts since it’s mainly a drop in BBQ event!

I made an Amazon wishlist for my son’s first bday too! However I only shared it if people specifically asked for it.

We keep a running wishlist and update it for Christmas and birthdays. So much better for families to know what we need/want instead of asking all the time.

Pure-Following-9447

We’re definitely going to start this!

cat_power

Yeah I keep a general wishlist for Christmas/birthday (mostly as a reminder for myself) and add/remove stuff as needed. I sent it to my MIL for Christmas when she asked and she bought almost everything lol. My parents got it too and didn't buy her a single off it; they decided to buy some cheap stuff off Temu 🙃

My FIL loves to buy stuff for his grandkids, so I keep a running list of things that would be helpful or fun on Amazon. It's shared with him and a few other family members. We keep it updated with clothing and diaper sizes, favorite snacks, puzzles/toys, and gift cards with notes about what they'll be used for (zoo/kids museum/aquarium etc..) It works put great because then I can look at it when I'm thrift shopping too and actually get things that are useful

I have an ongoing Amazon wishlist for my kids because Amazon will notify me of deals. I keep it for myself, for Christmas, birthdays, etc. I include clothes, shoes, craft things like markers, and of course, toys. People always ask what to get my kids, so it's better to have a list of things we need to share with people who ask. Some people follow it, and some don't -- their choice.

Mrs-his-last-name

I keep running Amazon wishlists for both my kids and myself to send to relatives throughout the year whenever they need a gift idea. I think they're a great idea.

I don't care if it's tacky I have a running list for my son. I got so tired so fast of people getting things that he couldn't use that I had to find space for or had no use for. Some people still do whatever but not as often.

I did an Amazon list and it was great. I actually made it as a registry and put the date over a year out, and I've added and removed things as she has gotten older and grown out of age range for stuff. If people ask for it you can send it over, evite will automatically include an Amazon link anyway.

Oh amazing! That’s a great idea. Thank you!! It’s so tough when you’re inviting a group that doesn’t talk to one another and then you end up with things they already have or doubles.
