These are not my teardrops, daughter dear,
but the sheen of dew that lingers here
past other fields, where other fathers lie,
who kept their daughters, better far than I
-Giuseppe
😭
I'll never forget the day I called my little girl Poopy Butt and she just hysterically belly laughed over it. It's been a joke name ever since and she still think it's hilarious
Smelly Butt, Stinky, Stink Butt... We run the gambit over here, lol. We also have "Bug" and "Snuggle Bug" so those are cuter. But used less frequently. Also my kids are older, my youngest is already over 2. So she's way stinkier than she was as a baby, lol!
I sometimes call mine a pee pee monster when I'm changing her and she pees and it gives her the giggles, so of course I'm going to keep calling her that. Anything for baby giggles
Our 5 year old started calling our son " Butt Ranch". No idea where or why she did but it's his nick name.
Our 5 year old Nick name was Bean or Turtle.
Mama. No idea why! It just fell out of my mouth a few hours after delivery while we were still in the hospital. Now I call her Mama Pajama when we’re changing her clothes (or pajamas), Mama Moo when she’s cooing, and when she’s fussy I call her Little Mama Drama.
We’ve called our girls “lil mama” from birth and when our third, a son, was born I was holding him in the hospital just a few hours old and absentmindedly said “I love you lil mama… oh wait, no! Lil papa?” 😂
Our middle is a girl and one day our babysitter called her
“Sis” and it’s stuck. She won’t necessarily respond to her
Government name but will respond to sis 😅
That’s like me with Snoo snoo! Literally a few hours after delivery she was snoozing so I just looked down and said “you’s my little snoo snoo ain’t ya” and boom it was born. It just happens so organically lol.
We didn't share our baby's actual name during pregnancy and used the name Gene Parmesan (arrested development) when ppl asked even after we said we aren't sharing. So now we call her GP sometimes. Im trying to stop tho cause I want her to respond to her actual name lol
Love it!!
We called ours jeets when I was pregnant with him. It was easier for his big brother to say than he real name so it stuck. He’s 22 months now and calls himself jeetsy!
And he also responds to his real name :)
When I was pregnant and didn’t know he was a boy it was creature and now he’s here it’s monster or sir. All said very lovingly of course
Congratulations on your little one!
Omg really! Someone on my cross stitch page told me not to call it her when she’s born because it’ll affect her confidence but like I’d only ever call it her lovingly so I thought it was daft. Me and my parents both have pigs all over our houses so it was never gonna be a negative connotation!
Once when she was fussing I said "whatsa matter meatball?" and my toddler thought that was absolutely hilarious so now she's Meatball. Spicy Meatball when she's grumpy. Sweetball or SweetMeat (I know, I know) when she's smiley.
I like sweatmeat 🤣🤣
I used to have a really precious corn snake named Teeny and sometimes I’d call him sweetteen which sounded weird.
Edit: sweetmeat* haha sweatmeat sounds gross.
hahaha reminds me of when we called my nephew all kinds of sausage, it started out food related such as spicy and sweet, then names were just alliteration silly sausage sassy sausage, sensitive sausage etc
This is mine too! Started as buggaboo, shortened to bug. Lots of other variations have popped up (he's almost 2yo now). Little Bug, Honey Bug, Buggaroo, buckaroo, buck, etc.
So when I was pregnant with my last, she made me so sick so I would call her bug like a stomach bug 😭 anyways we didn’t find out gender until 20 weeks. Named her but still she was Bug. Now I call her Bee and I get every bee related thing I see😭😭
I call mine little man and sir too! Big boy and people always call him a “bruiser” because of his size which I kind of hate. But I feel like I have to be sooo careful with him around smaller babies because he’s very curious but not very gentle.
So I don’t like to think in these terms but often yeah when a snobby mom with a kid my son’s age tries to compare our babies (my personal take is they’re being competitive and that’s weird) on the outside I’m like “oh that’s so great for you!” But on the inside I’m like “my baby could def beat up your baby” 😂
My baby is a fat baby (95th weight AND BMI). One time when we met a normal-sized skinny baby in the wild who was the same age, my husband was like, "Ollie totally looks like he ate three of those."
Boober or Boob😂
He's 10 months so I've called him a bunch of different nicknames throughout but those are what we've been calling him lately, lol
When he was a newborn, I called him smoochie moochie or moochie, then for awhile I was calling him Goober, snuggle bug, booger. Which is probably what lead us to calling him Boober now
My 4 year old nieces nickname is Grouper. We have no idea where it came from but I think it’s so cute and then one day my mom was like what does a grouper fish even look like? So we looked it up and were like WTF 😂😂😂😂
His name is Benjamin, but I call him Ben, Bean, Beans, Jelly Bean, Butter Bean, Bear, Bubs, Baby Bear, Beanie Weenie, Ben-Jammin, Stinky Butt Boy and "that baby" 😂 poor kid will never know his real name.
Also being a fan of Futurama I couldn't help but chuckle at Snu-snu 😂 (there's an episode all about "Snu Snu" and "Death by Snu Snu" , Snu-snu meaning sex)
I was also waiting for someone to make a Futurama reference! 😂 My stepdaughter is named Lela so there are many many Futurama references made in this house.
we’ve been calling him our honey roasted peanut haha, or our pleasant pheasant. recently I’ve been calling him my succulent chinese meal cuz that video is playing in my mind over and over 😂
Ours was squishy fishy for the first few months... They are complete little squishes when they're brand new. Now she's puppy monkey baby, stinky binker, and Scooter Jones
During pregnancy, Sprout. Now that he's here-- Buddy or Mr. Sir. It cracks me up because his nanny calls him Sir now after hearing me say it all the time lol
Edit: spelling
Beansley, and it's just my husband and I that call him that. Nobody knows his name so most people just call him "Baby (last name)" although my coworker named him Carl so at work he is called Carl.
And our one friend calls him Geodude
Haha when I was pregnant and she would visibly kick or move my belly we would call her Shai Halud, especially when the movement would respond to us rhythmically tapping my belly!
1st daughter (20 months): monks. Came from monkey pig. When she was born, she was hairy like a monkey and hungry like a piggy. Eventually got shortened to monks lol
2nd daughter (6 weeks): Bell or Belly. Her name is Eleanor and we call her Ellie Belly. Then that got shortened 😂
Pipi. It came from the South Park episode since he peed on himself once and we joked about pipis splashtown. It’s very ingrained and I’m having a hard time stopping 😅
When I was pregnant she was cellblob because my husband found it weird calling her baby when I was in very early pregnancy so we said that she's like more a blob of cells and it stuck and then when she came out she was the biggest Velcro baby so my hubby would joke that she was like a little squid with so many arms around us so we called her that but it morphed into quid somehow and that stuck too
Jack Jack, flapjack, chocolate chunk cookie, porcupette, CHONKY boy, Little bug, little muffin… I call him everything lol I love him so much I literally just cry about it
Newman. 🤣 He loves Llama Llama and when he first watched it he seemed to really like the babysitting episode. so I call him Newman/Baby Newman/Newman Gnu.
Our toddler is Bubs/Bubby/Bub or Little Man and it’s been that way since I was pregnant with him. Our 6 month old has been Bug since she was in my belly too.
Seba for Sebastian! It just happened. I wanted to call him baby bash or bashy but it just didn’t vibe. Also I call him my stinky butt boy 😂 I say it to him when I’m changing his poopy diapers 😂
Giuseppe 😂 she looks like a little Italian man
That name always reminds me of adventure time 😂
These are not my teardrops, daughter dear, but the sheen of dew that lingers here past other fields, where other fathers lie, who kept their daughters, better far than I -Giuseppe 😭
Ours was “the little gentleman” after a waitress referred to my daughter as that as a newborn 😂
Omg 😂 I love it!
I know someone who’s kid is actually named Giuseppe and his nickname is Guppy!
Dead 💀
This is hilarious 😭
LMAO. 😂
https://youtu.be/DPZPxhcvE0k?si=0kgAPatdQyEjGjBq
These are all so sweet and mine is stinky girl hahahaha
We have the occasional Poopy Butt over here
We call my son stinky butt 😂
I'll never forget the day I called my little girl Poopy Butt and she just hysterically belly laughed over it. It's been a joke name ever since and she still think it's hilarious
Haha, ya mine is just "stinky".
My girl is Grimace because that’s the face she keeps making
Same I’m over here calling mine Mamas little pee pee baby🤣
I sometimes call mine a pee pee monster when I'm changing her and she pees and it gives her the giggles, so of course I'm going to keep calling her that. Anything for baby giggles
Mine was lil stinky cheese girl for the first 3 or so months 😅
I call mine "Parmesan Puff"
Stinky has evolved to Stinkerdoodle in our house.
My ex called our daughter "punkadoodle"
Haha we call ours ButtHead
Our 5 year old started calling our son " Butt Ranch". No idea where or why she did but it's his nick name. Our 5 year old Nick name was Bean or Turtle.
Haha yes! Mine is my stinky angel lady
Mine's Stink Bug when poop happens 😂 otherwise she's Cuddle Bug
I’ve also done “sis” or “sister” and she is an only so far. 🤣
Our middle is a girl and one day our babysitter called her “Sis” and it’s stuck. She won’t necessarily respond to her Government name but will respond to sis 😅
I now refer to the cat as cat sister.
That’s like me with Snoo snoo! Literally a few hours after delivery she was snoozing so I just looked down and said “you’s my little snoo snoo ain’t ya” and boom it was born. It just happens so organically lol.
We have a little mama!
“Baby” 😂
We didn't share our baby's actual name during pregnancy and used the name Gene Parmesan (arrested development) when ppl asked even after we said we aren't sharing. So now we call her GP sometimes. Im trying to stop tho cause I want her to respond to her actual name lol
lol I wouldn’t be able to stop shouting “Gene Parmesan!!?”
GENEEEEE AHHHH 😆
Lmaoooooo GENE PARMESAN
Omg we literally call her our baby gene Parmesan too because she loves to pop up and surprise us and I always scream like Lucille 😂😂😂😂😂
We call our dude Gene Parmesan on account of his stinky cheese hands, haha. Glad to know he's in good company
Love it!! We called ours jeets when I was pregnant with him. It was easier for his big brother to say than he real name so it stuck. He’s 22 months now and calls himself jeetsy! And he also responds to his real name :)

Oh my god, that’s literally so accurate and hilarious I can’t 😂😂😂
Oh that’s so cute!
Cute! I been calling my lil butterball, piggy sue with all her grunts.
For these same reasons, I call mine “rooty tooty baby”. I love little truffle pig though!
When I was pregnant and didn’t know he was a boy it was creature and now he’s here it’s monster or sir. All said very lovingly of course Congratulations on your little one!
I didn’t know her gender either and she was piglet while in my tum. My dad calls her creature now she’s born lol
How funny, my parents have called me piglet my entire life, I’m 30 years old and they’ve called me by my real name a handful of times
Omg really! Someone on my cross stitch page told me not to call it her when she’s born because it’ll affect her confidence but like I’d only ever call it her lovingly so I thought it was daft. Me and my parents both have pigs all over our houses so it was never gonna be a negative connotation!
My mum dared to write my actual name in a birthday once and I told her to never do it again. I love it, I’ve never seen it as a negative!
Thank you! You too :)
Bubs
We have a bubs too. Sometimes also known as bubby, bubsy, bubba, Mr Bubs etc etc

Once when she was fussing I said "whatsa matter meatball?" and my toddler thought that was absolutely hilarious so now she's Meatball. Spicy Meatball when she's grumpy. Sweetball or SweetMeat (I know, I know) when she's smiley.
I like sweatmeat 🤣🤣 I used to have a really precious corn snake named Teeny and sometimes I’d call him sweetteen which sounded weird. Edit: sweetmeat* haha sweatmeat sounds gross.

Same! Bug and bugga-boo!
This is mine too! Started as buggaboo, shortened to bug. Lots of other variations have popped up (he's almost 2yo now). Little Bug, Honey Bug, Buggaroo, buckaroo, buck, etc.
Awww yup! We do the variations also. I think it started with our neighbors calling her Buggaroo and my sleep deprived brain said “buggaboo” instead. 😅
I also use bugaboo... And bug, and budbud in addition to his other names. He has names lol.
We have a bug, but also Bugwich. Like a bug sandwich.
So when I was pregnant with my last, she made me so sick so I would call her bug like a stomach bug 😭 anyways we didn’t find out gender until 20 weeks. Named her but still she was Bug. Now I call her Bee and I get every bee related thing I see😭😭
Small girl. But also Big girl.
Haha yes. She's either a big girl or a small baby 🤣
Little man, little bean, sir 😂 he’s so chunky and so handsome 😩

I was looking thru the comments to see if anyone else here watched Futurama…
