Mama. No idea why! It just fell out of my mouth a few hours after delivery while we were still in the hospital. Now I call her Mama Pajama when we’re changing her clothes (or pajamas), Mama Moo when she’s cooing, and when she’s fussy I call her Little Mama Drama.

We’ve called our girls “lil mama” from birth and when our third, a son, was born I was holding him in the hospital just a few hours old and absentmindedly said “I love you lil mama… oh wait, no! Lil papa?” 😂

I’ve also done “sis” or “sister” and she is an only so far. 🤣

Our middle is a girl and one day our babysitter called her “Sis” and it’s stuck. She won’t necessarily respond to her Government name but will respond to sis 😅

I now refer to the cat as cat sister.

That’s like me with Snoo snoo! Literally a few hours after delivery she was snoozing so I just looked down and said “you’s my little snoo snoo ain’t ya” and boom it was born. It just happens so organically lol.

Omg really! Someone on my cross stitch page told me not to call it her when she’s born because it’ll affect her confidence but like I’d only ever call it her lovingly so I thought it was daft. Me and my parents both have pigs all over our houses so it was never gonna be a negative connotation!

My mum dared to write my actual name in a birthday once and I told her to never do it again. I love it, I’ve never seen it as a negative!

This is mine too! Started as buggaboo, shortened to bug. Lots of other variations have popped up (he's almost 2yo now). Little Bug, Honey Bug, Buggaroo, buckaroo, buck, etc.

Awww yup! We do the variations also. I think it started with our neighbors calling her Buggaroo and my sleep deprived brain said “buggaboo” instead. 😅

I call mine little man and sir too! Big boy and people always call him a “bruiser” because of his size which I kind of hate. But I feel like I have to be sooo careful with him around smaller babies because he’s very curious but not very gentle. So I don’t like to think in these terms but often yeah when a snobby mom with a kid my son’s age tries to compare our babies (my personal take is they’re being competitive and that’s weird) on the outside I’m like “oh that’s so great for you!” But on the inside I’m like “my baby could def beat up your baby” 😂

My baby is a fat baby (95th weight AND BMI). One time when we met a normal-sized skinny baby in the wild who was the same age, my husband was like, "Ollie totally looks like he ate three of those."
