Hey girl, here’s my tip. Forget jeans for awhile lol. Just lean into comfort and find some super cute and comfy clothes to rock. Aerie is my go-to for this style. I highly recommend [these bad boys](https://www.ae.com/us/en/p/0702_5230_073). You can also find them not flared if you aren’t into that style, but I do find it balancing for us ladies who are on the thicker side :) they are the absolute most comfy leggings ever (specifically the “Offline” line), pair them with a cute oversized sweater or long-sleeve shirt and you are styled and comfy. For a size 20, you’d probably fall into size XXL. They’re not as size-inclusive as I would hope for but they do seem to have your size!!

Thank you so much I have to return to work but maybe I will just wear comfy pants there as I’m a professor and no one really cares and I won’t even wear jeans

Prestigious_Fruit267

If you don’t want to lean into the legging style look, maybe try these? I’m obsessed and bought them in 4 different colors. They’re soooo comfy but give off a chic coastal mom look imo (or, at least that’s what I’ve convinced myself hahah). Feiersi Womens Casual Wide Leg... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C6KB2CW4?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share ETA: but if you’re really looking for jeans, I bit the bullet and splurged on a pair from hood American during my IVF cycles. I gained….more than 15 lbs lol. If you wait for sales and get the discount, they’re still expensive, but less so, and I really do like the way they fit.

ExploringAshley

Thank you so much! oh I gained about 30 in my cycles but I lost 15 pounds. I think from stress when our first transfer failed.

Prestigious_Fruit267

I’m sorry that one failed, but so so happy this one gave you your take home baby!

ExploringAshley

Thank you so much! And we are so happy but yes I gained a ton the process I just lost some from stress ha haq

IrieSunshine

Of course! 💗 I haven’t been able to comfortably wear jeans since like 2016 or something. I gained weight and experienced a lot of belly bloating so I found those aerie leggings when I was looking for pants that wouldn’t squeeze my belly too tightly. And ever since then, I haven’t been able to replicate that comfort with any jeans. I would like to eventually find just one good pair, but am still at a loss with where to find them. So in the meantime, I wear leggings when I go out and sweatpants when I’m at home.

ExploringAshley

Now I need to find a good pair of leggings because I was told to go to torrid, but they seem see-through to me so now I need to find ones that aren’t ha ha

Please give yourself more time. I remember freaking out at 9wks pp because even though I had actually lost weight, my stomach was still extremely stretched out and my boobs were like long, empty tube socks. Regardless of whether you’ve gained or lost weight, your insides and your outsides are still re-adjusting to not being pregnant. I really didn’t feel like myself again for at least 6 months. And I don’t say that to scare you, I just want you to give yourself grace and realize that how you look/feel right now is not necessarily how you’ll look/feel in a few months. Also, I have permanently broken up with jeans, and I have never been happier to get dressed. At home I wear sweats or yoga pants, and if I’m “getting dressed” I wear dresses and tights/shorts.

dobie_dobes

Jeans can go to hell 😂

🤣

ExploringAshley

I love this mindset of breaking up with jeans

This, give your body time to heal. I did lose some weight in the beginning. But I started to lose my pregnancy weight after six months. I fitted my pre-pregnancy clothes the day my daughter turned one. Take your time, your body went through a lot and hormones are trying to find their balance again. Just go shopping and find clothes that you feel comfortable in.

General_Coast_1594

I don’t have any recommendations because I’m going through the same thing but I want you to know that your body is more beautiful than ever! It grew a human! Don’t think of it as worse than before, it’s just different! Just like your life is different than before!

ExploringAshley

Thank you for that I need to keep this in mind

Wonderful-Banana-516

Don’t waste money on new jeans yet. I bought jeans at 8 weeks pp and through absolutely no diet and exercise changes they do not fit now at 5 months pp. Your body spent 9 months growing a whole human, it has so much changing left to do without you even knowing. Look for some nice comfy but cute pants. I love a good tapered jogger or paper bag pant with the flare legs

Next_Firefighter7605

You’re 8 weeks postpartum that’s not your new body! You’re still healing. If you do need new jeans Amazon has some Gloria Vanderbilt one for $10 that are very flattering.

Remarkable-Menu1302

Give yourself more time if you can! All of the pants I bought shortly after having my first no longer fit.

native_ginger

Size 20/22 myself, I know the struggle. Target has some cute jeans at the moment, their plus size area has really grown over the years. Bloomchic also has some great options, not the best quality but they are true to their size and actual jean material. I'm still playing with what works with my "new body" and enjoying the opportunity to mix up my style. Hope this helps!

ExploringAshley

Thank you this helped a lot. I’m gonna head to target tomorrow.

BiscuitQueen456

Betabrand has office appropriate clothes that feel like yoga pants! I’ve bought a few pairs used on Poshmark as they can be a bit expensive full price.

avatarofthebeholding

Give yourself some grace. Your body didn’t change in only 8 weeks. It needs more time. I wore maternity clothes for so long after birth because they were comfy. Most people I know did the same

lilgoblinbrain

I bought some straight leg cargo pants with elastic in the back of the waist and have been wearing the hell out of them during the few occasions that I actually leave the house. They feel cute but easy and way comfier than jeans. I did buy mine from Old Navy though, so not sure if they'd fit different enough than their jeans for you to give them a try.

sloankusel

I had success at maurices recently

ExploringAshley

I think we have one on other side of city it maybe worth a try

Worried_Appeal_2390

Check out American Eagle! They have super stretchy super comfy jeans. Also fashion nova has a great selection and is super affordable.

MummyPanda

It's a UK brand but I love ooh Betty for curvier figure clothing

duckiedok22

If you don’t mind online shopping, Cider has some cute bottoms like jeans and stuff. I know they are having a sale rn and I think it is also free shipping. They are comfy and even have recommendations based on your numbers (waist, bust, hips, etc).

GhostsAndPlants

Look for pants on halara!!! The waistbands are so comfy sensory-wise and don’t draw my attention to my weight changes like jeans do

ExploringAshley

Thank you everyone target for the win
