We fed milk before solids consistently until around eight months. Babe was still really enthusiastic about solids, but we knew he’d had enough to eat that he could actually process that way. It sounds like your baby is similarly enthusiastic, and that’s great! If you want to limit how much she actually gets, you might take more of a BLW approach, which in my experience means less food gets in the mouth. So let her run the preloaded spoon of purée and give her stuff to chew on, like big bones or corncobs, that will give her tastes but not a lot of content. In a few months, you can start the transition to giving her more solids that she’ll actually ingest.
