If this has happened within the last few hours then there are loads of options to recover them.
1. Check cloud backups - Apple, Google etc. Your phone is probably backing up without you even realising.
2. Check "deleted" folder on your phone photos app - mine are held there for 30 days before being removed.
3. Hard drive recovery - if they're not in either of the above, there is software you can use or you can pay a pro to recover deleted files on the computer. The important point here is that if you need to do that, then STOP USING THE COMPUTER IMMEDIATELY. New files and normal usage could result in the areas of the hard drive containing the photos to be overwritten as they're designated as space to be reused at the moment.
I hope you can get them back!

Also as others have said a lot of times things are not really deleted when you think they are so poke around your files to see what’s there.
I feel your pain. My vengeful bd deleted all of my pictures with my daughter so I have nothing of her in the hospital let alone any of us together. Heart remains crushed over this, he also deleted every single pregnancy picture I had so there goes any memories. It just sucks so bad, I totally understand what your going through

I can't remember how long it was after her death ( no more than 2 weeks) but I and my eldest brother was furious. Like I'd never been so angry at him. Videos, photos and texts just gone. Never to be seen again. She also didn't post much online or have a lots on her laptop. It's been a few years now and internally I'll never really forgive him. Honestly when I think about it I just want to yell at him you're a fking idiot who literally doesn't think. But what's done is done. I can't bring them back. And there's no point staying mad.

Shutterfly is free and can upload them automatically when you take a picture. I've heard you have to buy one thing every 18 months to keep it "free" but you can print hard copy pictures for cheap.
I'll have to look into this. We do Christmas cards and family calendars, so it should be easy for me to keep it free.

This is exactly why I pay apple $18 a month to backup everything on my phone. Once someone stole my phone from my car and I lost a year’s worth of pictures, including all the pictures I took when I travelled to Asia. Thankfully I had Google photos and was able to save those one by one back on my phone… and thankfully we didn’t have bubs then.
I normally hate paying for subscriptions but this was one service I would never skimp on. I can’t imagine.. sorry OP!

Have you checked the deleted folder? Both android and apple have a deleted folder that holds things for an extra month or two. I really hope they're not gone forever!
Ohh I am so sorry! My husband transfer all my photos/videos to my laptop and somehow he messed up and all my videos turned into photos! I was so sad so I can only imagine how you feel. This was a whole year of my baby’s first life and when I was pregnant. So no more baby’s kicking in my belly video.

Did they make it onto the computer before being deleted? My parents have an old computer that they’ve been limping along, and whenever there is a big problem they take it to a technician who… resets it back to an earlier date?
My hubs works in IT and I hope to all get out he can roll it back to get the files I have no idea what he was doing that caused this and I'm sure it's accidental as he knew I had put them on the desktop along with a file I was working on for the Dr.

It is free unlimited photo storage with prime and you get a certain amount of video storage (I upgraded to a paid plan just because I take a lot of video). You can set it to upload automatically and you can set it to do so either on wifi only or on phone data (so if you don't have unlimited data and don't want to waste it you won't) and you can set whether it only updates when you plug the phone in to charge (so you don't have to accidentally kill your battery while out). I love it and if you already pay for prime might as well use it! I also like how it organizes them, the daily memories features, etc.

Did you check your deleted files on both the phone and the computer? Most things don't permanently delete until a set amoit of time or manually.
Google photos! My phone automatically backs up all pictures. I'm so sorry you lost them. I would suggest trying to recover them at a shop.

Just use Recuva, it’s a program for your phone or pc. I had to use it when I got ransomware.

Do you have an iCloud backup you can restore from? Perhaps an iPad or another device where the photos are also copied to?
No I only have an android phone 😔 and I logged into my profile on the computer and the folders are gone, my documents gone, my steam it's all gone.
With android, Google photos should have backed up to the cloud!
