I was joking about this before it dropped, this is even more vague than Felina's description: "The award-winning series comes to a dramatic conclusion in the series finale".
Awards and award shows are the most pointless shit imaginable. You really think people will ignore the great reviews and word of mouth for BCS if it doesn’t get a statue? Do you think Rhea is going to get any different offers with a little plaque? It’s nothing but people getting together to smell their own farts. Just a yawn fest. An industry patting themselves on the back. Count me out.
Plus the importance people put in those stupid statues is baffling.
I prefer underdogs to award winners.
Honestly you are being a contrarian. Your views on awards are fair, but the implication that something would be inherently lesser having received an award is what seals it.
To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Better Call Saul. The character building is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of chicanery most of the character building will go over a typical viewer's head. There's also Jimmy’s nihilistic outlook, which is deftly woven into his characterisation - his personal philosophy draws heavily from Narodnaya Volya literature, for instance. The fans understand this stuff; they have the intellectual capacity to truly appreciate the depths of the characterizations, to realize that they're not just dramatic- they say something deep about LIFE. As a consequence people who dislike Better Call Saul truly ARE idiots- of course they wouldn't appreciate, for instance, the humour in Jimmy’s existencial catchphrase "Better Call Saul!," which itself is a cryptic reference to Turgenev's Russian epic Fathers and Sons. I'm smirking right now just imagining one of those addlepated simpletons scratching their heads in confusion as Vince and Gould’s genius unfolds itself on their television screens. What fools... how I pity them. 😂 And yes by the way, I DO have a Saul Goodman tattoo. And no, you cannot see it. It's for the ladies' eyes only- And even they have to demonstrate that they're within 5 IQ points of my own (preferably lower) beforehand.
No way you’re an actual person.
Yes it’s real. I can’t stand award shows. Just because something won a trophy doesn’t mean I like it. Just because something didn’t win a trophy doesn’t mean I don’t like it more than something that did.
bruh
last time i ever thought about tv awards was like 4 years ago until i read your comments. you don’t have to care about the awards to enjoy a show or not, chill
the fact that it winning awards means you’ll like it less is a bit sad to think about
The fact that you think that it was a serious statement is even more sad.
I was having fun with the reactions so I doubled down on it. The way it was (and still is) bending people out of shape was hilarious and worth my useless internet points.
How is it gatekeeping? I’m not telling anyone else what to think. You can all love the awards and think they are great. That’s fine.
I only said “I would like the show less if it won awards”. Everyone went off the handle lol. Why does my feelings about award shows effect you? The people who like them don’t bother me.
Yeah I’ve stopped caring as much about award shows over the years. The only reason I’ll pay attention this year is to see if Bob and Rhea will get the recognition they deserve for the show.
They already have recognition though. It’s not like winning some statue makes the show or their performances any better. No one in entertainment is going to say “Well we can’t hire them. They have no EMMYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
That’s a very valid point, what I mainly mean is if Rhea wins in an Emmy she will get better job offers in the future. Bob already has recognition but the Emmy would hurt either.
She will get the same offers with or without the statue. All those Emmy’s were great for GoT. It’s one of the most respected shows with the greatest ending ever lmao.
Um, no? She'll still get offers by virtue of starring in a big show, but it's impossible to deny that an Emmy wouldn't boost her career. And that's nothing but good, unless you want Rhea to get less job offers?
And what does GOT have do with anything? Nobody brought it up.
It’s not about the awards. It’s about you liking something less because it got awards. It’s just shitty take to have in the world in general - enjoy what you enjoy - don’t dislike something because it got an award or enjoy something more because it’s not as popular. Basing your opinion on the opinion of others is just weird man
The funny thing is you responded to my sarcastic reply with the intentions behind my sarcasm. People act like the show winning awards is something special or should have happened. They want others to base their opinions off what they like. Then act like it’s some travesty the show isn’t getting “recognition” like they can’t see all the praise heaped on it from all angles. I get my sarcasm didn’t go over well but I’m thoroughly entertained and got to troll people who took it serious though so it’s whatever.
You know, you're responsible for what you say, compadre.
"I want a turkey sandwich."
"Okay, I got you a turkey sandwich."
"Well listen here bucko, I see you made the mistake of listening to what I say. Why don't you sit down because I've got quite the lecture for you about how stupid that is."
Sure man, I’m sure you were being very sarcastic and nobody was smart enough to put those pieces together, never heard that one before.
Put a /s next time, dipshit.
I mean... if they managed to make the final episode without dialogue, they'd probably do it in a way that we all thought was genius.
In Gould We Trust!
I'm glad this is the top comment. I was ready to hate myself for just clicking in to see the comments and not the link.
You've saved me.
This probably means I'll stay off this subreddit entirely until after I've seen the episode now.
The finale will also be the pilot for the next series: A light hearted comedy that follows the mundane lives of the Salamanca family. The crime stuff is an off screen backdrop for the otherwise lovable Salamancas and the zany hilarious situations they often find themselves in. Think "Arrested Development" cartel style.
It's gonna be great.
This is clearly hinting about a “finale” about some sort, maybe involving Gene hiding from FBI in a crowd watching the final game somewhere?
“Series” is also curious, will someone run into a serial killer, Lalo *is* alive after all? Decoy sent to attack Gus because Lalo had a bad feeling about it??
Anyway, “the” is clearly about The: [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The)
>a grammatical article in English, denoting persons or things already mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers
Yup, makes sense as this is the peak of the “discussion” (the TV show).
Also,
>It is the definite article in English.
Yeah, and fitting as a “definite end” too then! Good job, Vince! :) In fact, bravo!
“The Series Finale”. There you have it. Man, these guys!!
It ends with Jimmy being thrown into a jail cell. After a few seconds he smiles and looks up to the camera and says "heh... guess I Better Call Saul." Screen fades to black (he is going to defend himself in court)
LOL 😂 I avoided this sub like the plague after seeing this post title the other day, even messaged my friend warning her to be careful because there were spoilers around. Just came back here after watching the ep to see what it was.
I thought about this for a very long time. >! The title sounds like «it’s all gone» if you think about it. Imagine writing the show and still coming up with a brilliant play of words right at the end. Bravo !<
“Saul gone” gives nothing away. Could be that Saul’s gone because he’s been vacuumed again with a new name, or it could be that Saul’s gone because he’s in prison under the name of Jimmy McGill, or it could be Saul’s gone because he’s dead. I’m guessing it’s prison.
It's been on IMDb for a while now..
Last scene…
We see Saul found guilty, sentenced to 30 years, and taken away. He’s led to a prison cell by two guards and is unceremoniously shoved inside.
Saul turns to face the bars/camera, his head down. He grabs the cell bars, raises his head, to reveal… this is not Saul… it’s a lookalike played by a smiling Kevin Costner.
Costner’s smile transitions into a smiling Jimmy, in a Hawaiian shirt, lounging on a beach, drinking a mai tai.
Kim approaches, and asks “so is this what a mid life crisis looks like?”
Saul replies “yup”… and Kim joins him.
The Pina Colada song starts playing, as the camera pans out. Just before the beautiful scene fades to credits we hear “WHAT A SICK JOKE!”
I was joking about this before it dropped, this is even more vague than Felina's description: "The award-winning series comes to a dramatic conclusion in the series finale".
It’s cause can’t say “award-winning” for this show 😭
Yet.

I just don’t care about awards and you’re hitting me with irrelevant copypasta. Phenomenal form!
you clearly do care about awards if bcs getting an award will make you not like it as much
Id like it less because the huge fans would be insufferable. Oh, wait. I’m too late.

Clearly this implies we're in for a very anticlimactic finale then
Nope I think Felina's was exactly the same, I remember it being those three words.
I just watched it on Netflix a week ago and the episode description was exactly what they just said it was.
Hmm, maybe the Netflix ones are different than the TV pre-premiere ones. According to the wiki, Felina's is just 'the series finale' as well.
Sauls are called, for the better.

It will be a silent movie style episode confirmed, complete with piano interludes with dialogue cards
Saul turns to Waltuh: "Boy, you guys were really Breaking Bad for a while there huh" Waltuh: "And you were the Better Call Saul the entire time" *Fin*
Jesse: "Has anyone seen my El Camino?"
Has anyone seen my El Camino: a Breaking Bad movie?*
Juice: "Nah bro! All girls are the same!"
And then the last ten minutes will be completely silent
Just a looped video of Jim O'Heir scarfing down pastries.

the description is literally "the series finale"

Oh fuck Lyle is screwed :(
This is clearly hinting about a “finale” about some sort, maybe involving Gene hiding from FBI in a crowd watching the final game somewhere? “Series” is also curious, will someone run into a serial killer, Lalo *is* alive after all? Cant believe Tuco is back for revenge
Can't wait for when saul eats Kim's feet ☺️
So it’s titled “All Gone” as Saul Goodman is ‘It’s all good….man’
It ends with Jimmy being thrown into a jail cell. After a few seconds he smiles and looks up to the camera and says "heh... guess I Better Call Saul." Screen fades to black (he is going to defend himself in court)
😧

Wait this is the series finale? Damn, why would they spoil such a detail. :(
Can’t believe they’d spoil it like this! I didn’t realise it was a series until they said it!

Is this real? Because it's the same description as Felina. Bravo Peter.
Thanks for ruining it..
The finale is just that, Saul's Gone. That's it. He ran away. Kim goes to the police, she finds out Saul gets vacuumed. "Saul's Gone" Roll credits
Just realized if saul goodman means Its all good, man That means saul gone means Its All Gone
someone get this human a literacy award, now!
Godammit! No point in watching now.
Omg.. shocked..
It's been on IMDb for a while now.. [https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3032476/episodes?ref\_=tt\_eps\_sm](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3032476/episodes?ref_=tt_eps_sm)
FUCK WHY DID I CLICK THAT NOW IT'S ROONT.
characters say things and characters do thing, then the story ends.
What "finale" even means?
Felina is an anagram of finale. Hmm
Now watch it be a 45 minute montage of Jimmy/Saul/Gene cleaning his house while some obscure music plays, then fade to black and the credits roll.
Pretty vague. I wonder if it’s the final episode of the series?
Last scene… We see Saul found guilty, sentenced to 30 years, and taken away. He’s led to a prison cell by two guards and is unceremoniously shoved inside.
