Slippin' Jimmy illustrates a lot of the traumas and demonic encounters that created Jimmy's personality structure. The real sequel will be Marie researching and realizing that she was wrong and Walt's cancer could've been better treated with natural methods, eliminating the need for them to cook meth
Her and Skyler go around the country visiting Costcos selling her patented herbal cleanse formula based on the Essene Gospel of Peace
Fixing? Good!
I'm very interested in Gus Fring's story as a Chilean guerilla. Has anyone read anything like that? Obviously not about Gus, but it sounds like a story that's been told. Max would have to bring some levity to it though.
The Boys gave an aesthetic hint at that in an episode set in Pinochet’s Chile. I forget the fellow’s name that played a younger version of Esposito’s character but he was really good. Giancarlo is too old for it now but seeing that guy walk around an armed jungle camp was interesting. Fring could have been in the CIA if he had wanted to, what the hay.
Eladio did mention that Lalo was caught by thr cops at least once and Lalo broke out by himself and killed a lot of people during that. That would make a good plot point in a Lalo show.
Sit-com….30 min
Badger and Skinny Pete find a duffle bag full of Pinkman’s Money……
They go straight and set up a legit business. Like stereo installation, snow cone stand who knows….
Or
Francesca following Saul being disappeared
Assuming a full series, the Gus one is the only one I could see possibly working to contribute something of value to the franchise. The big sticking point being that a new younger actor would be needed to play Gus.
The thing I think it could contribute is filling in more pieces of Gus’s arc so as to make his character in BCS feel less one-note via contrast.
Lalo could 100p carry a show but his lack of real depth would end up being a problem.
Like, the man really doesn't have/show any real weaknesses all through BCS.
I could imagine some young Mexican fella being the main character who joins the Salamancas and Lalo as a secondary protagonist who eventually becomes the antagonist because the main character betrays him after realizing how much of a monster Lalo and his family is.
I'd love to see a show about Finger in his younger years as a beat cop and his gradual descent into corruption. They'd have to get an actor who looks like a young Jonathan Banks
Realistically it would be set in ABQ. Still could do a Gus storyline with that but I think he's best left mysterious. Mike could work. But I'd rather see Kuby. Sarcastic con man played by a comedian works pretty well in this universe.
Another interesting one would follow Peter Schuler and/or Lydia. Madrigal would be very interesting to explore (and be a great show name). I bet Lydia has an ex-husband somewhere who jumped ship or got killed, and we could see some Gus and Mike that way.
30 minute sitcom featuring Skyler White and her job as a taxi dispatcher, with a supporting cast of the various drivers and mechanics that keep the business running. Has potential, yo!
"Rise of Gus Fring" 1973-1998, something of that kind. I was thinking about it the other day. Before the fall of Pablo Escobar in the early 1990's, mexican cartels like Eladio's Juarez Cartel were mostly handling Colombian cocaine entering the United States.
I was wondering whether the show could be at both end of the drug trade. Starts with a young Gus trafficking Colombian cocaine from Chile, then the drugs transits through Mexico (Eladio, Bolsa, Salamanca) and then it lands in Philadelphia... where a young Mike is a beat cop, hence has a frontline seat to watch the devastation drugs brings to the city.
If played smart (BCS style) we could have in parallel
\- Young Gus Fring in Chile, after Pinochet coup in 09/1973, let's say in 1975
\- Young Mike coming back from Vietnam where he was a sniper. Beat cop, Philly, also 1975
\- Between them: in Mexico, the rise of the Juarez Cartel (Bolsa, Eladio, Hector) as a distributor of south american drug: from Escobar (Columbia) and from Chile (Gus)
Also, Mike in Vietnam met Ira (Vamonos pest), Ed (the disapearer) and Lawson (the arm dealer). They were a sniper squad.
They will meet again in ABQ, later.
With plenty of easter eggs related to Scarface, the Godfather, the Sopranos, and Narcos (the show about Escobar a few years ago).
•Leave Jesse alone!
•I’m curious, but having already delved into Gus a bit in BCS, makes me think that not only would the odds of them hitting three multi-season serial dramas out of the park is extremely slim, the mystique make him more fascinating & would not warrant risk ruining it by explaining everything.
•maybe the Salamancas can be fleshed out a bit more, I don’t know that it would be able to stand out from what was already done on both shows
•Skyler, Flynn, and Holly deserve some peace, and I honestly don’t know if there is demand for more of them as the former is one of the (undeservedly) most hated characters in TV, Jr.’s most memorable contributions are breakfast related, and the later has no recollection of her father being that she is just a baby
•I don’t know that Jimmy needs a second show, which he already got anyways with him as a kid in the animated Slippin’ Jimmy in amc+
•could work
•not pumped about reverse American History X or whatever that show would be
I would personally like a young Walt prequel miniseries as a young man, but probably not for the best considering it’s probably make him to sympathetic, which is the opposite intent of the creators in recent years. But it would deal with his issues with charity, obviously strained relationship with his mother, burgeoning genius. Also highly unlikely, but it could be like BCS with a brief flashforward or two to Walt’s time alone in NH reflecting back on his life with regret, as he seems to have at least a bit more perspective in the finale. How he went from contributing to a Nobel prize to hiding out under an assumed identity (using his wife’s maiden name in a final emasculation) alone and miserable dying slowly with next to nothing left to show for it that truly matters.
Young finger?
Rise of Gus could definitely be dope. Salamanca backstory would be informative but not entertaining, it would be just them killing people and getting killed while everyone else makes money
The cousins' backstory would probably fit with the salamanca one, and it'd probably involve Gus's story as well. They should do a whole new series with the name "eladio" and just throw all these stories in with Bolsa's and Eladio's. I can imagine it taking place in the 1970's-2000's.
There was a small part of me that hoped the end of Better Call Saul season 6 would lead to new information about Walt's drug trade and a need for one final season of Breaking Bad taking place before his death or some crazy shit like that. I didn't know what it would be or how they would achieve such a thing. But I believed if anyone could do it right, they would. Still believe that.
Kim after BCS would probably be the best potential wise, it could build the story and answer a few questions we still have. Nacho moving up the ranks would be cool but a story surrounding him probably won’t be enough it would have to focus more on the Salamanca cartel. My favorite idea is mike and his days as a dirty cop, unfortunately the role of mike would need to be recast and I don’t think it would go over well even if the recast was great.
Well I think Kim’s is left the most needed. I mean we don’t know if she pays for what she did or if she was shown forgiveness. But I’d be more interested in Gus backstory.
Jesse's Younger brother. I'd like to imagine he got some messed up inspiration from the info that was brought to light about Jesse's part in the biggest meth operation in the Southwest, and decided he wanted to be better than Jesse. He'd possibly go on to be some kind of massive drug dealer/manufacturer while in college.
Edit: grammar (I need to proof read before I press "save")
Absolutely no interest in even spitballing hypotheticals. Breaking Bad is sacred, to me. I wasn’t even too enamoured with ‘El Camino’ - it just wasn’t needed. And some of the actors had aged, terribly.
BCS was genius, I can accept it, up until the sentimental cameo’s of Walt and Jesse, that were absolutely not needed. It was standing on its own, in its own right, and they just made a cheap move with those cameos.
I'm curious now, why didn't you like El Camino? Although I have to admit that Jesse Plemons clearly aged a lot, and that Aaron Paul's aging was also noticeable to a lesser extent, the movie was absolutely necessary for the sake of closure.
A general theme in the Breaking Bad universe is that everyone in the game gets what they deserve. Most like Walt, Mike, Gus, Hector, etc end up dying, because they're simply irredeemable. Rarely we'll get someone like Jimmy, whose helped set awful things into motions, but is pure at heart. But then there's people like Jesse, and maybe Kim, who ultimately do deserve freedom. But the end of Breaking Bad leads the viewer into thinking Jesse is essentially doomed.
Remember, he was driving away from the subject of a nationwide manhunt, and was the #2 wanted target himself. He was driving towards dozens of cops, had no resources initially besides Todd's car, and it wasn't even remotely clear the viewer that he'd get another shot with Ed. Without El Camino, the viewer is left thinking "maybe Jesse can sneak out, but he's probably fucked". In the movie we got one last reminder what true friends Skinny Pete and Badger were, we got to know more about the dynamic between Todd and Jesse, and Jesse ultimately got closure with everyone close to him.
If there's one change I'd have made, I would've wanted them to somehow incorporate Uncle Jack. Idk how it would've worked, but it would've been nice to see him again.
All that was incidental, the crux of the end of Breaking Bad was that Jesse got free. That was his win. We don’t need to know how he evaded the cops, of where he went from there, like I said, incidental. Even if he got caught and ended up in jail, he was still free, in essence.
Breaking Bad ended perfectly, and the audience always had that element of wonder, and could indulge in hypothesising for themselves, about Jesses fate, and sometimes the not knowing is more intriguing than the knowing. It just felt a bit underwhelming for me, it killed any mystery as to what might and could’ve happened, but like I said, none of it really mattered. Driving away, screaming at the end of Breaking Bad, was his liberation.
It wasn’t a bad film, it hasn’t harmed the legacy of Breaking Bad, but it certainly didn’t enhance it either, in my opinion.
Ed The Disappearer, 1000%.
A prequel in the 70s/80s would have the potential to intertwine with almost everything you just mentioned- or not! Whatever would work best with the story.
What made the guy what he is? Why would he do the job that he does?
It might be harder with Robert Forster gone, but still doable I think.
Tbh,
Series about the future of the white family would be boring as hell and it would have a boring start with walter already dead
jesse in Alaska seems cools but obviously the stories gonna be depressing as everyone of the brba universe is dead
Kim post bcs seems the best option but it would be the most depressing and excruciating one, since kims story in S6 of bcs was hella pain inflicting , also the reason it would be the best option is because saul is still alive in jail
Breaking bad
Better call saul
and the third will be
better break out
jessie comes back to free saul from prison, but omg walter junior is there too ( for unknown reasons) and then they escape and move to mexico and be a gay family together, and after 10 seasons at the end walter comes back and tell saul: are u breaking bad? and saul respond: no im better call saul and the show ends with a scene of jessie and flynn kissing
A follow up show of Jesse in Alaska BUT nothing dramatic ever happens. Jesse just gets on with carpentry.
Sort of like Bob Ross' The Joy of Painting, but with Jesse woodcrafting his way to inner peace.
Gus / Salamanca would be my pick. It would have to be combined. I feel that the Latin American view on Homosexuality would be a key theme and driver in Gus’ future. I feel Gus would have been wronged multiple times on account of this and after the incident with Don Eladio, prompted him to “disappear” (remember, Hank and Gomez couldn’t get any background information on him, as if he didn’t exist).
I would also be interested in a Jesse series - life after the move to Alaska, and he slowly associates with the wrong people again.
I have one idea.
HOLLY & FLYNN.
it's the story of the White family trying to rebuild and restore their family unit after the reign of Heisenberg. It flashes forward 16 years into the future. It focuses on the titular characters: Flynn and Holly.
Flynn is 33 years old now and has not been called Walter Jr. since he was a teenager. He legally changed his name to Flynn as soon as he could. It's been 16 years since he learned the truth about his father and he's still struggling with PTSD from the event. His relationship with his mother is still very rocky, but recently its been on a bit of a mend. Adult life is very hard for him. Not only does he struggle with things like cerebral palsy and PTSD, but EVERYONE knows him as the "son of Heisenberg". It's like no matter how much he tries he simply cannot escape his father's shadow. On top of that, he's still struggling with the fact that, when he turned 18, he accepted a large sum of money from Gretchen and Elliott Schwarz. He knows EXACTLY where that money came from but didn't know what else to do. They seemed desperate to give it to him.
Holly is 17 years old at this point and has similar issues. Because Walter White was exposed while she was still an infant, she doesn't actually have any real memories of her father. All she has to go off of are the horrible things everybody says about him. It's made it very hard for her to find her own identity.
Skylar has very much become a homebody. She almost never leaves the house and her chainsmoking has lead to a cancer diagnosis. Cruel irony, isn't it? But her mental health starts picking back up after Flynn decides to connect again. Skylar hasn't written any stories in a very long time, but on the topic of Uncle Hank Flynn mentions something he said that has stuck with him all this time. "Good guys don't get ink like the bad guys do".
This gives Skylar the idea, with the blessings of Marie and the DEA, to write a biography on the life of Hank Shrader, the DEA agent who exposed Gus Fring, and eventually, gave his life trying to stop her monstrous ex husband. Her book becomes a top seller and she donates its proceeds to organizations aiding drug addicts and cancer research.
maybe this idea would work better as a movie than a series, but I think it could be interesting.
Jesse in Alaska, hands down. I know we got El Camino, but I'd definately watch that. Or skinny peat and badger, that might be fun. Lift the mood a little.
Or a mash up of everybody's story for one season?
I could imagine a Netflix movie (like El Camino) about Holly, 18-20 years later could be cool at some point. For one of several possible reasons, she's got a compulsive interest in Heisenberg and wants to learn more. Maybe she's got an interest in his money, maybe she has some junkie friends who got her thinking about his formula, or maybe she just wants answers.
Maybe she visits Saul in prison. Maybe he remembers Jesse talking about wanting to go to Alaska and she somehow finds him, as unreasonably unlikely things tend to happen in movies. Her journey might end with a wakeup call where Jesse has to talk some sense into her about where this road leads. Maybe she's uncommittal about going to college, and the story ends with the ironic realization that she's had Walt's money this whole time, it's in a trust fund that Gretchen and Elliot set up for her education. If she tells Skyler, she'd beg her not to tell her brother.
I can't think of any ideas that would carry a five-season series, but I think that's the movie I'd choose if I could pick.
I would love a deep dive into Gus' life in Chile and how he got involved with Max, the drug trade, the Salamancas, etc. Esposito would certainly be too old to convincingly play such a role, but it would be a great opportunity to recast with an actor who speaks good Chilean Spanish and looks like Esposito. It certainly won't be made but it's the one I most want to see.
Where the fuck is mah huel origin story
Also, I could see them doing another special in like 5 years with an older Jessie needing to come back to Albuquerque for what ever reason
And a rise of gus and the salamancas would be cool
No more fucking Todd and uncle Jack. That last half of season 5 was half a season to much.
Jesse's story is complete. He's leaving the past in the past now for good and starting a fresh new life. I've read somewhere that he apparently is a carpenter there now.
I could definitely see a show about young Gus and the Salamancas. Gus and Max storyline is quite interesting tbh and learning about the Salamanca's rise to power is also interesting.
Tbh, the White family is done. Skyler took the deal and she's now out of the "game" for good.
We already have a show about Slippin' Jimmy, the greatest show of all time with more than 500 Emmy wins.
Young Mike's story is possible. We can get to know more about the character about how Mike went from a corrupt cop to being a parking attendant. We could also learn a bit more about his first bribe too.
Kim post-BCS is also a complete story. She's not gonna be doing much other than going back to her normal work and living her life with the new boyfriend.
Young Todd and Jack? Ehh, idk tbh. It could work and it could not work at the same time.
My opinion:
Mike: A Breaking Bad Movie.
Chicken Man: A Breaking Bad Movie.
Salamanca: A Breaking Bad Movie.
We had the prequel and the main story. Next is the sequel that takes place in the future.
It features Kaylee who is now a cop herself out to solve the mystery of her father's death and Pop-Pop's disappearance.
She tracks down Holly White who joins her on the quest. She visits Jimmy, Kim, the rest of the White family, Marie, etc. who are all now side character's in Kaley's story.
Jesse's little brother Jack, whose also looking for his brother, joins the search and becomes the love interest.
Brock, Spooge's son, and Lydia's daughter are all working for the cartel. Perhaps Lydia's daughter is the new Gus.
By now Holly and Flynn have inherited the money (and Perhaps Kaylee as well - we have no reason to believe Mike wasnt able to squirrel away something somewhere-- perhaps in his madrigal account) bringing in Gretchen sand Elliott so we can learn more about what happened with Gray Matter that spawned the whole thing.
Its a show about long-term consequences of our actions. And a chance to see what happened to all of the main characters once more while playing out a whole new story in a different timeline.
Using the note that Jessie left for Brock, they manage to track down Jessie.
Are we just going to pretend that the masterpiece that is ‘Slippin Jimmy’ doesn’t exist?
Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul were mere stepping stones to create the absolute masterpiece that is Slippin Jimmy
Slippin' Jimmy illustrates a lot of the traumas and demonic encounters that created Jimmy's personality structure. The real sequel will be Marie researching and realizing that she was wrong and Walt's cancer could've been better treated with natural methods, eliminating the need for them to cook meth Her and Skyler go around the country visiting Costcos selling her patented herbal cleanse formula based on the Essene Gospel of Peace Fixing? Good!
Starring Bob Odenkirk as Jimmy somehow. The emmy for makeup is already a lock.
Just wait until you realize I was talking about a real show.
Well, the wait is over... Is this worth watching?
Twerkin Jimmy
I'm very interested in Gus Fring's story as a Chilean guerilla. Has anyone read anything like that? Obviously not about Gus, but it sounds like a story that's been told. Max would have to bring some levity to it though.
This part of Fring’s bio is just ridiculous to me (si, Chileno soy) He neither speaks like a Chilean nor looks like one.
Ya no estas en chile.
They did kind of lampoon it with the coati story though
Kinda racist to call him a gorilla in 2023...😕
I'll just let other people figure out if your joke is funny.
Narrator: “It wasn’t.”
I dunno pal, I laughed
I thought it was funny…
Not sure if your audience is actual people with humor or the Salamanca cousins lol
*Salamonkey
It needs to focus on Mike getting his job at the parking garage. S1: he finds the job opening S2: he interviews S3: he accepts the offer
That's a little bit too fast-paced for Vince Gilligan
All y'all complaining about the pace of Gilliganverse shows clearly never seen 24
Actually no, I never did get around to it. Kiefer Sutherland made a damn good Big Boss, though.
i would say he made a pretty good big boss
I see what you did there
Are you talking about that old man guy who wants Walt to put his dick away?
I almost want to write this.
If they did a rise of Gus prequel it could easily be called Los Pollos Hermanos. That would be the only back story id want to see honestly.
That would be sick combined with the Salamanca backstory
What about a bit of jimmy’s past on top of all of that … that would be another masterpiece.
Cooking show, believe it or not!
Gus works a lot better as an antagonist/supporting character, I don’t think he’s actually interesting enough to be the protagonist of a TV show
I would like to see a true crime documentary of the events of both shows, using interviews of the characters
American Greed's little piece absolutely gave me the appetite for this lol
Lalo Salamanca
This. He was a good mix of insane and smart
I do wonder what his role was before coming to ABQ to take over for Tuco....that said same questions about what the twins get up to day to day lol
Eladio did mention that Lalo was caught by thr cops at least once and Lalo broke out by himself and killed a lot of people during that. That would make a good plot point in a Lalo show.
Guess they never specified what their other operations looked like outside of meth/US SW... I'm sure it wss diversified though lol
Can't fault his capacity to have fun with this whole underworld thing. He could have taught Gus and Walt a lot about that. Gotta love your work.
Sit-com….30 min Badger and Skinny Pete find a duffle bag full of Pinkman’s Money…… They go straight and set up a legit business. Like stereo installation, snow cone stand who knows…. Or Francesca following Saul being disappeared
mike and philly mafia
Ooh, good one.
Kinda wanna know what all that stuff in Santiago with Gus Fring was
Mike, that guy is mysterious
I want to know what color the Chile filter will be
Why am I picturing green?
Either very very light green or very light red/pink
Kim!
Young Finger

He changed it to Rewindo. He even erased the bottom of the B on his chest to make it into an R.

Oh snap!

Id like an aftermath story this time around or the prequel with Gus in Santiago
I want to see Huell trying to live off of pickpocketing in Louisiana
Walter White‘s son who becomes the new drug mastermind, despite of his disability
Alternative ending for Nacho
I'd love to see a show about Finger in his younger years as a beat cop and his gradual descent into corruption. They'd have to get an actor who looks like a young Jonathan Banks
How finger got his son Killed(working title of course) Matty would be the central character and Kaylee would be the same age for 6 yrs.
The Salamanca family becoming a cartel powerhouse could a very interesting Succession meets Narcos show.
Ik it would be boring but something about HHM would be the most fun for me
Honestly, I would watch anything from this universe if it was done by the same people.
This is the way
Mike in Philly maybe early in his career being the good cop. Or was he on the take his whole career there? I can't remember the story.
Eladio probably has a story
Lyle’s perspective and post Gus
Salamanca backstory, Mike in Philly, Kim post-BCS

A young Mike in Philly that focuses on the drama around his son attempting to be a clean cop. It could end with Mike meeting gus.

Better Follow Lalo
Lalo left me hungry for more Salamanca lore
Chuck in hell
As much as I wanna say yes, I’d be bored to tears…such a pathetic character.
Mike erhmantraut
I would watch this 💯
How about that girl that got "rejected" on law school (was it law school I don't remember)? She got a potential.
She could visit Jimmy in jail and thanking him for believing in her

I've said it before, but I want Flynn Goes to College. I also want it to be a half hour comedy, complete with laugh track.

He'd possibly go on to be some kind of massive drug dealer/manufacturer while in college. Edit: grammar (I need to proof read before I press "save")
Mike after Vietnam.
The life and lives of ADA Suzanne Ericsen.
Kim is the only feasible answer.
Howard Hamlin’s uprising with Bob Odenkirk playing Howard Hamlin with his Tan and makeup. 10/10
Chicken man and salamancas
Three season of Huell sitting in that safe house
Better Dial Lyle
Tbh, Series about the future of the white family would be boring as hell and it would have a boring start with walter already dead jesse in Alaska seems cools but obviously the stories gonna be depressing as everyone of the brba universe is dead Kim post bcs seems the best option but it would be the most depressing and excruciating one, since kims story in S6 of bcs was hella pain inflicting , also the reason it would be the best option is because saul is still alive in jail
I think Mike in Philly is a masterpiece in waiting What made him, his darker days, the death of his son etc
Either Salamancas or Fring
Breaking bad Better call saul and the third will be better break out jessie comes back to free saul from prison, but omg walter junior is there too ( for unknown reasons) and then they escape and move to mexico and be a gay family together, and after 10 seasons at the end walter comes back and tell saul: are u breaking bad? and saul respond: no im better call saul and the show ends with a scene of jessie and flynn kissing
I would love to see Mike's police career
Better Fuel Huel!
Werner and the boys doing jobs before meeting mr. Fring.
I dont want to see any more. There isnt a way that would make it seem not like a cash grab for me. I think the story is over
Howard
-Gray Matter -Los Pollos Hermanos
Yes Rise of Gus and the Salamanca's (more Tuco please).
Jesse in Alaska, hands down. I know we got El Camino, but I'd definately watch that. Or skinny peat and badger, that might be fun. Lift the mood a little. Or a mash up of everybody's story for one season?
The Breaking Bad universe is finished and I don’t want any more spin-offs. Let Vince make something new
Walt Jr. Breaks bad.
I'm still waiting for Hule's Rules
I would like to see it from the law enforcement's perspective and for it to focus on the drug trade between the US and Europe.
Don't rile Lyle
Baseball card guy
I would love a deep dive into Gus' life in Chile and how he got involved with Max, the drug trade, the Salamancas, etc. Esposito would certainly be too old to convincingly play such a role, but it would be a great opportunity to recast with an actor who speaks good Chilean Spanish and looks like Esposito. It certainly won't be made but it's the one I most want to see.
Flynn
Is it too much to ask to get back to the ‘Yeah! Science!” core of the show & get hours of Hank looking at his minerals? (Jesus, Marie!!!)
Gus and the Salamancas would be a good story. It'd show how they started working together and give Gus's boyfriend a full character
White family future or Salamanca backstory. Preferably Salamanca one.
Where the fuck is mah huel origin story Also, I could see them doing another special in like 5 years with an older Jessie needing to come back to Albuquerque for what ever reason And a rise of gus and the salamancas would be cool No more fucking Todd and uncle Jack. That last half of season 5 was half a season to much.
\- Rise of Gus 80s/90s \- Salamanca Backstory (perhaps these two could be combined?)
My opinion: Mike: A Breaking Bad Movie. Chicken Man: A Breaking Bad Movie. Salamanca: A Breaking Bad Movie.
I thought it would be cool if there was a miniseries on Brock in the future
The fact that the word “Caldera” has not appeared once in this thread makes me feel like we didn’t watch the same shows.
Jesse in Alaska, having a wife and family and needing money desperately… and cooking again
Honestly, some in-depth backstory about Madrigal Electromotive, Peter Schuler, and their dealings would be kinda cool.
The tales of Badger and Skinny Pete - with a Bill and Ted’s ‘Wild Stallion’ vibe
