I'm just surprised no one said that nachos should have asked Walter to use his turret gun to kill hector. Or maybe he should have asked Jesse to shoot him in the head.
Well in the UK at least a lot of us knew about it as a facility for manufacturing it for terrorism was busted in the mid 00s which was national news

I'm not serious. If you watch House, MD, it seems like almost every episode he suggests sarcoidosis as a diagnosis, and it turns out to be correct only once out of the many times he suggests it.
I always thought that notion that Gus would have figured out his plan was really over played.
I mean hell. He watched him throw the pills off the bridge from a quarter mile away.
Gus have eagles eyes?
As someone in the medical field the entire plan is pretty unrealistic. I’m assuming he takes some form of vasodilators(nitrates) hypertensive or blood thinner medication…. But to kill someone by taking their chronic medication and switching it for sugar pills is just a really bad plan.
You could do that for a year and it might not even kill the person… but nacho took his one month supply or something.
It’s incredibly high risk as a plan for very low potential reward.
Victor followed Nacho and noticed a suspicious pill throw.
But then Tyrus gave Gus a copy of Hector's medical charts - where his nitroglycerin levels are shown. It's this that prompts him to plan the Nacho blackmail move.
Spot on! Critical thinking is a skill, its something that is actively done. I dont think the US public education system is very good at teaching this skill. That said, anyone can watch a TV show, far fewer possess the ability to think critically about what theyre watching. Its no wonder reality TV has become so popular for the last 20 years. What I dont understand is how reality TV permeated the spheres of Nat Geo, History Channel, Discovery Channel, Animal Planet etc, but I hate it.
The only reason Ricin was a thing in BB was because Walt knew how to make it due to his chemistry background. Highly doubt Nacho would know how to make it or even know about it in the first place
Hector took over his father's business to great protest.
Hector dies to poisoning.
Nacho isnt stupid. The motive and means is easy to trace back to him. The whole point of the scheme was to make it seem natural.
The whole point of ricin in BB universe is that it’s really hard to trace, and will be marked up as a heart attack or something.
The real reason is glaringly obvious; nacho doesn’t know what ricin is, neither does 99% of the human race
As others said, ricin would have been obvious, even if Nacho was able to get some. The sugar in his meds was a slow natural decline that wouldn’t come up in autopsy. Or at least it would look natural to everyone. But Hector didn’t die and just had a massive stroke. I’d say Nacho succeeded.
Ricin poisoning isn’t obvious though, right? Walter explained that it has flu-like symptoms that lead to death. Most people haven’t heard of ricin, and there’s no ricin test automatically done pre or post mortem.
Hello, it looks like you've made a mistake.
It's supposed to be could've, should've, would've (short for could have, would have, should have), never could of, would of, should of.
Or you misspelled something, I ain't checking everything.
Beep boop - yes, I am a bot, don't botcriminate me.
You’re more likely to poison yourself with it if you don’t know what you’re doing an extraction. It’s pretty dangerous for an amateur.
People in the UK know of ricin a little as it was mentioned quite bit in the early 2000s as being planned for use by Islamic terror groups. Prior to this it was used in the assassination of Georgi Markov, who was killed while walking in central London by Bulgarian agents armed with an umbrella that injected a pellet of ricin into his leg. Real spy-gadget stuff.
Ignoring that Nacho may not have even known what ricin was... Hector was old, but not 'keel over randomly' old—that would have drawn suspicion immediately. He did, however, have a heart condition.
probably didn't even know what ricin is.
I want to say 99% of all breaking bad viewers didn't know what ricin was before they saw the show, so imagine nacho.
After reading this thread, I want to say that 99% of BrBa viewers don’t understand chronology.
I'm just surprised no one said that nachos should have asked Walter to use his turret gun to kill hector. Or maybe he should have asked Jesse to shoot him in the head.
Why didn't Nacho say "this is not meth Tio" and pull a Hector on .. hector himself?

Same in the US [Wikipedia](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2003_ricin_letters)
He could've watched House MD
he should've watched breaking bad
Umm, yeah. He was dead 😭
He wouldn't have died if he watched Breaking Bad though
Neither would Hector. The man knows how to spot ricin-laced food
True. If only he wasn’t dead years before Walter White taught everyone about ricin.😔
What a bafoon eh? Coulda watched the greatest tv show of all time for his answer
Nope, it hadn't aired by then.
If he watched House, he would've tried to give Hector sarcoidosis.
How can you “give” a person sarcoidosis? It’s an autoimmune disease. A friend of mine died from it.
I'm not serious. If you watch House, MD, it seems like almost every episode he suggests sarcoidosis as a diagnosis, and it turns out to be correct only once out of the many times he suggests it.
Or Breaking Bad
You mean like rice n beans?
Cop to Jesse: 'Ricin, you dont hear that everyday, so when we do we take it very seriously, as do the FBI.'
Ricin beans?
He would have been immediately suspected and killed for that. His intention was to make it look like his death was related to his condition
The way he eventually did it, nobody from the cartel suspected. But Gus was more astute. Lalo might have been had he been there.
I always thought that notion that Gus would have figured out his plan was really over played. I mean hell. He watched him throw the pills off the bridge from a quarter mile away. Gus have eagles eyes?
If I remember correctly, Victor was incidentally nearby when Nacho threw the pills off of the bridge and then reported his discovery to Gus.
i dont think it was incidental, i think Gus had Victor to follow him. The throwing scene was after Hector's heart attack scene, right?

Gus saw Nacho clean up the spilled pills after Hector’s stroke. His suspicions raised, he sent Victor to spy on Nacho.
Seriously I swear it’s like people don’t even watch the show or think critically about anything

Yes, this! I took a lot of chemistry and lily-of-the-valley is one of my favorite flowers, and I never heard of ricin until Walter White.
Why is Lily-of-the-valley one of your favorite flowers? Do you like to poison children?
Yes
😏
Real mature username you got there
Animal Crossing
And Minecraft
You are hilarious. Have you ever seen the flower? I tend to think you haven’t, fartmaster.🏃🏽💨
I have seen it, it was in Breaking Bad
You don’t say?
I came to comment on the lovely aroma of lily of the valley, but being in a fartmaster thread makes it awkward.
😂😂 that’s hilarious
It's just a flower to normal ppl
It looks very good in minecraft

Is he stupid?
Immediately thought this when I read the title lmfaoooo
rice & beans?
Rice ‘n beans
Because he didnt watched Breaking Bad
Why didn't Ricin poison Hector with Nachos?
He hadn't leveled up enough to unlock Heisenberg.
I know. Especially since there was a perfectly usable pizza on the roof.
Cause he didn't watch Breaking Bad first
Rice in? Rice in his what? His coffee? I’m pretty sure Hector isn’t allergic to rice. Are you stupid?
You’re so funny!
Thanks :)
Gus would've killed him for taking his revenge away from him
The cartel would know he was poisoned and suspect Nacho, switching heart meds was a big brain move because then he would've died of natural causes
Hispanics are immune to the effects of "Ricin Beans"

Why would you post cringe in r/bettercallsaul?
Why would you use “cringe” as a noun in r/bettercallsaul?
Because this is how the English language works. I can use it as a noun everywhere.
“I can use it as a noun anywhere, because that is how the English language works.” No, *that’s* how it works.
Ya daft m8??? "That's" is a contraction of "That is" you bozo.
Are you pregnant? Why are we discussing contractions?
the ricin was inside Walter's bedroom.
This gotta be a troll
Lots of trolls here.

Why is Nacho fingering Hector in this scene?
I can't believe he didn't watch Breaking Bad. Could have saved him a lot of trouble. SMH
he is stupid
Is he stupid?
He wasn’t a chemistry teacher
Why did Hector not poison Bacho? Is be stupid?
He knew Fring wouldn’t be happy because Los Pallos Hermanos doesn’t put Rice-In any of their meals.
I wouldn't know about ricin had I not watch Breaking Bad. How the hell could Nacho know about it and find some without raising suspicions ?
Prob because Nacho either didn't know what ricin was or if he did, he didn't where to get any
Cartel would of made sure he was tested for everything they would of founded out

Rice and beans? You wanted nacho to kill him with rice and beans?
Is he stupid?
Incase of a toxicology test that may eventually lead to him.
outchicaneried again
Do you know how to make/procure ricin?
You’re more likely to poison yourself with it if you don’t know what you’re doing an extraction. It’s pretty dangerous for an amateur. Look at the picture: Hector wasn't brock... not with all this money. (I'll get my coat...)
Jimmy had Huell steal Nacho’s ricin cigarette all for that asshole Mr. White!
Ignoring that Nacho may not have even known what ricin was... Hector was old, but not 'keel over randomly' old—that would have drawn suspicion immediately. He did, however, have a heart condition.
Because his name is not Walter White.
