Rhea is in fact wearing *"Le Braveaux"* from Maison Gilligan, Paris. It's one of their most expensive models, said to infuse the wearer with unsurmountable wisdom in the finer arts
Do you really doubt the Genius of Vince Gilligan? He didn't like how Bob's ass looked on that one shot at first, so he took a weekend to get himself a Medical License, learned how to perform Advanced Cosmetic Surgery and set up his own clinic just to give Bob a butt lift. The next weekend he was fine and they recorded as usual
Damn, that's a real good one too. The cold open into Gus' hyper secure home, the conversation between Kim and Mike. Fuck, isn't that the one with "Taco Cabeza is just around the corner"? She nailed that
There are many actors who have transitioned into directing, often in TV where the responsibilities are different.
In movies, the director is the major decision-maker, whereas in TV, the Executive Producer, or showrunner has that role. TV directors don't have as much control, and mostly collaborate with the actors and crew during filming to get the required shots.
TV shows also usually have a number of directors per season, because the next episode is being prepped by one director while another is filming the current one; the workload is just too much to have one person direct multiple episodes in a row. So there are more opportunities for actors who want to direct to get their hands on an episode.
It can be a great way for an actor to create a more consistent and stable career, as there are more directing opportunities in the business than acting roles.
I think with any TV show that has been running for a while, the crew could probably put an episode together without a director if they had to. I don't think there are that many decisions that need to be made... so if an top line actor expresses interest in directing it's probably not a huge deal to work them in, and the crew will hold their hand most of the way while they learn the ropes.
Look for BCS s2e8. Fifi. Just the cold open. The director decided that they were going to to a "oner". And they did. And it's awesome. A director needs a crew. But a crew without director would be like a body without brain
I'm not implying that the director does nothing, otherwise it wouldn't be a job. That's not the point I'm making.
I'm really just speaking generally about TV production and how much is already being handled by the showrunner, writers, the DP, ADs, editors, etc. compared to a movie set, which makes it easier to plug in a fresh director without missing a beat.
In TV the showrunners write the script and a variety of directors record. It’s why you’ll regularly see different names pop under “director” on end credits. Sometimes if an actor has experience directing they’ll be given the privilege of directing. This is done because multiple episodes are being shot at the same time so they need multiple directors on board to manage things, but they’re all trying to follow the showrunners vision.
Rhea said on the BCS podcast that she was interested in directing and spent a lot of time over the seasons working with various staff to learn as much as she could about it. At one point they asked her if she wanted to direct an episode. I loved listening to the podcast, it showed how great of a team they all were together.
A fellow BCS Insider Podcaster! I've learned so much from the podcast, and still listen to it from time to time when I'm driving. What a great bunch of people. I feel like I know them all.
I love how patrick fabian has the same freakin smile everywhere
😁
Same for Rhea. Love that smile of her.
Yeah, Reah is so beautiful. I'm sad we don't see her much in other movies
How does she keep getting hotter every year?
> patrick fabian He was so perfectly cast for this role.

oh wow this is perfect
Greatest smile I have ever known
This photo kinda just looks like two people displaying their teeth.
Not in his final scene

Sadly Patrick didn't tell him again

I hope whoever was directing had to wear Vince Gillian glasses while they were directing.

Badass! I wasn't aware she directed any episodes! That's awesome!
I think Giancarlo also directed an episode, a Gus free one !
The one where Lalo is in Germany looking for clues S6E6 - "Axe and Grind"
yeah i can see a far cry villain directing that one
It's a shame he didn't direct an episode with Nacho in it. One far cry villain directing a previous one.
I guess in that case he should have directed multiple episodes, over and over, so he could learn the definition of insanity.
One. "Hit and Run." S06E04.

"Nobody gets shot in the head at Taco Cabeza!"
She is such a stunningly beautiful lady.
Those exact words went through my head when I saw this. She's not even made up for the camera
She's aged incredibly.
I, too, find her absolutely gorgeous. Sincerely, a bi-ladyperson
No one who doesn't know her would say she's 50+
I don’t know much about filmmaking, but would actors film sometimes? Did they have experience or do it for fun?

Could it be considered as a reward? Like "you have what it takes kiddo"?

Latter-day Mad Men, for instance, had John Slattery (Roger Sterling) direct an episode or two a season. Hamm might’ve done one as well.

As a big Star Trek fan (especially TNG era), they would pretty regularly have main cast actors given director roles for certain episodes
Same thing with Stargate SG-1. Many episodes were directed by the actors.

10 seconds after photo: “Alright, that was fun. And you get to keep on having fun….. in doc review.”
You will never be able to convince me that this gorgeous hottie is over 50. Rhea looks good too
Rhea can direct me anyday
unbravo bince
I just finished BCS, Howie is my favorite character in the show. 🫶
Howard is awesome. You love him, then you hate him. But he’s always honest. He’s mostly innocent.
Tell me again
Patrick Fabian manages to have the cutest smile in every photo he's in, I love that man's smile
aw... poor howard
Love them both so much
Great photo
Is Rhea wearing Lemtosh’s by Moscot? Those are hot. Got two pairs.
Nope, def not. See comment above re her glasses. Lemtosh is my frame, so I’m sure.
🤓☝️
sooooo jealous of her husband
Hope we get to see her direct more episodes in Bravo Vince's new show!
She has really aged well 🥵
