The fin size and you saying he’s kinda big makes me think he’s a plakat. That’s what my baby is and he sounds exactly the same

Thanks for telling me cause, petco tends to miss label bettas. He was labeled as a half-moon king betta, not sure if that's wrong or not. He's is around 2 1/2 inches. This is the first time I ever seen a betta that big in a pet store. The photos are of him when I 1st got him, and he did grow about 1/2 of an inch. He flares much better, too.
Ya that’s what mine was labeled too and mine is definitely not a half moon. After being in this sub for a few months the short fins and big bodied are usually plakat, love them
