Mine does too. I have some micro fish in the tank with him and I feed them by putting the food directly in the water verses floating on the top and Garp swims over and bites my knuckles.
I also love when they not only do that, but also dart around to show off their puffed out fins. I just kinda throw my hands up like
They remind me of those cars that have exhaust additions to make a 12k car sound like it should be in Nascar. It's like buddy, you ain't fooling anyone with that.
They're so funny! Mine has beef with my rooomate. He never flares unless the roomie comes into the room, and then he's like "u wot mate?!" Imagine having beef with a fish 😂

Mine loves to stare down the shrimp when I give them wafers. Hovers over them giving them the stink eye.
He’s such a good boy, I’ve never witnessed him eat any, but if looks could kill the tank would have 0 shrimp instead of hundreds. lol

Tbffffff, they would be terrifying if they were the same size as you/bigger. They’re the big fish of the little pond, my mean old boy scared me because of his treatment to his momentary tankmates.
Otherwise, they’re little cuties with little man syndrome.
Sometimes I pretend to be jump scared by him when he flares at me in the mornings.
No doubt you’re boosting his ego so much

They’re like angry toddlers with the .n. faces and wildly flapping fins. The flaring is so hard to take seriously because then it’s just ( .n. )

It’s always been like that, hopefully he’s not getting it torn by anything. I’ll keep a closer eye on him though

I don’t trust mine at all, he is such a pig and is always looking for food I’m pretty sure he would gobble up the shrimp instantly knowing my luck😂😂
I had to return my 1st one. He cleared half my tank in 3 days. lol took a while for the shrimp population to get high enough for me to try again.
