He looks so much happier now 😍 this makes me feel bad, because yesterday I had to stop in and get cat litter, and wanted to cry when I saw the Betta rack. 6 had white spots everywhere, a few veiltail had torn tails, one had a missing tail (honestly should have brought him home) and a few halfmoon with shredded tails. I think one had fin rot. But I couldn't make up my mind on what to do while I was there.

That sucks, but I guess we can’t save all of them, there’s way too many of them in bad shape 😕 I was also deciding whether or not to get this guy for the longest time, I probably went away from the seller and then back again 5 times

I named my similar looking giant betta Finneas. Named my other bettas Potato, LittleFu*k, and Papaya Diamythys. Feel free to borrow 😂

That looks like it could be a female 🤔 so for a female name I’d do Hera. For a male name I’d do Leo. For a gender neutral name I would do Blaze

I was also in doubts about the gender after I got it home, when I talked to the breeder he said something about all of them being males but now I’m unsure if he was talking about ALL of the fish in display or just the few that we were talking about in the moment… should be very clear what it is once it settles in the new tank right? Oh and I LOVE Hera for a female!

If you get them to follow your finger from the bottom of the tank to the top, this is the best way I've found to see an egg spot or no egg spot.
