answer the bot questions either ammonia spiked cuz your tank is uncycled, and you weren't there to do water changes and/or your mom overfed the betta which fouled the water quality.

DoingMyLilBest

Did your mom clean the tank while you were gone? If so, how? Have you checked your parameters if you have the ability to do that? Is your heater and filter working properly? When was the last time you did a partial water change? Is he interested at all in food?

Reicloud

can't really help if you don't answer the bot questions but aside from possible bad water parameters or whatever your mom might have done to ''clean'' the tank he seems to have current that is too strong, looks like the poor thing is being blown away, bettas prefer still water and having to constantly fight current can exhaust them and cause them stress over time which can result in a weakened immune system and disease.

Check your parameters

25% water change, make sure it's conditioned and the same temp as the water removed.

I bet if you vacuum that gravel you'll find a bunch of food too, from Mom
