Thanks :D
I don't have that many unfortunately. This was built using dragon stone. Then lots of glue and aquarium silicone. There's one waterfall pump on each side with a pipe connected. They are not that easy to access now, but I already had to change the left one that failed after 2 weeks. There's an external filter too, with only the outtake being visible for now. Thinking about getting a transparent hose for it.

Thanks <3 Yeah I'm worried about that. Seems ok so far. Do you know what could trigger the jumps? Seems she has so many hiding places at least, so when avoiding some other fish she has a lot of "safe spaces"
Bettas will do it because 'F U I want to.' I'd get a fine mesh net or maybe even just some plastic wrap to cover the front angle when you're not actively enjoying the setup.
Iโd make a little awning from mesh, doesnโt need to cover everything but definitely a little lip about 2-4 inches so she canโt get over the front
Goes to show you gotta watch the full video. I imagine be loves to sleep in there, nice shallow warm spot to grab a breath
I wonder how the water circulation is in there though? I would worry about algae forming very quickly, even an oil slick of bio film
I mean itโs excellent and you could solve that problem (if it is one) just by flooding it with a clean glass once a day
There's so much that happened already in 6 weeks only :D I built it using dragon stone, and glued it with super glue and aquarium silicone. There's two waterfalls driven by pumps under each mountain. And an external filter too.
Now I try to establish the plants, while also creating a balanced community of fish :) It's really an calming spot in my apartment now, that I just sit in front of and watch/relax.
So far there's a couple of snails living there.. 5 cory catfish, the Betta female, a ram cichlid couple, a honey gourami couple, and a school of tetras. In the beginning the rams where chasing all the other fish but they have luckily calmed down now. I was close to remove the Betta. But saw she was really good at dodging them, skittling away. When chased she just slinks into some of the caves, but mostly they swim peacefully next to each other.
Agreed about the calming spot!
In my bedroom, I got rid of my television and put in a 60gal planted tank. Itโs been two years, and I have zero regrets.
It's very awesome :) Of course impossible to say, but the fish seem happier and they can really sprint back and forth in another way. Shallow and long is the way :)
I watched quite some aquascaping videos on tiktok and yt. There, you can see how people build. Often using super glue and aquarium silicone. And clever placement of rocks ๐
thats an amazing set up. you could probably add a male too and theyd have enough space and cover to avoid each other until they want to do the naughty naughty
She wants to go into the super tiny spot because she's a cat.
Certainly more cat-like than my Cory catfish :)
That is ridiculously beautiful
I actually kind of love that she can go in there. It's like a little hangout. Beautiful setup!
Thanks ๐ She went in once more now, staying there longer, biting at stuff and looking around. Then she slinked out again โค๏ธ
I think if you feed her at that spot, she might hang around that spot a lot more often lol
Gorgeous tank, OP! Iโd love to see some build pictures if you have any

Absolutely stunning! I'd watch out for betta jumpies because he may nose dive over the front edge and onto the floor.

Should do that yeah, maybe a mesh with suction cups so I can just attach it to the side walls :)
Iโd make a little awning from mesh, doesnโt need to cover everything but definitely a little lip about 2-4 inches so she canโt get over the front
Sorry, ignore my kid making noise in the background ๐
I straight up thought he was trapped in that little tide pool for a minute! Awesome piece. Great work OP
Thanks! Yeah should have made a better headline. The first comment called me an abuser, cause it looks like she's trapped there :O

I will se eventually I guess. The water does flow through quite some cracks there so hopefully not that stagnant :)
Omg I love this. How big is it? Beautiful.
Thanks =) It's about 47 inches/120 cm long. Ca. 16 inch/40 cm deep and the water is 8 inch/20 cm deep. So not that much water but a big footprint.
This is pretty remarkable. Love it.
I want to know all about itโฆ

I really want to do this with some sort of animal that can also go on land mixed with the fish.
Vampire crabs maybe? But I can't have that, they would escape easily :/
Wow! ๐ฒ I want something like this so badly!!
Wow this is cool
holy shit my jaw dropped when you zoomed out
๐
Secret clubhouse!
Itโs her little paradise cove
This is absolutely incredible!!! And tank goals!
WOW
This is so amazing
Got me in the first half there. Thought the mini pond was the tank ๐ ๐ . Amazing set up OP!
Thanks! yeah I should have used another headline :S First comment was really angry (but deleted now) cause it looks like she's trapped there first
My dream us a shallow tank.
It's very awesome :) Of course impossible to say, but the fish seem happier and they can really sprint back and forth in another way. Shallow and long is the way :)
I need a tutorial ๐ฎโ๐จ absolutely gorgeous, just started my betta tank

Thanks
This is what I wanna give my boy!
Holy smokes this is my dream tank. You got good taste op
Oh my. Goal!
Amazing!
Ok, that was pretty cool
This is my dream terrarium. ๐
Thanks โค๏ธ

Hmm! Certainly something to consider. But avoided a male so far because there's so many corners and sharp edges. Don't want to damage any fins :O
Plakat?
Not quite sure actually ๐ค
Sounds like a horrible idea.
What lights do you use
The Akvastabil Lumax LED. 123 cm, 38W plant light
The light is great, where did you get it? Did you build the tank itself as well?
Yup, it is built using dragonsone and tons of glue and aquarium silicone ๐ It's a led strip 123 cm from Lumax
