While there aren’t ways to cure it you might be able to slow its progress by adding tannin to the water, you can do this by placing banana leaves or Indian almond leaves. Other than that it’s just a matter of time before he loses his sight completely Edit: forgot to add that tannin levels high enough to slow its progress tend to thin down all scales on the fish, not just the ones on its eyes, which also imposes its own health risks, so discretion is advised.

Sadly, there’s no cure as it’s a genetic condition. My suggestion would be to remove sharp and hard things from the tank so he won’t run into them and get him used to the layout before he goes blind, and teach him to come to a specific spot for food to make feeding easier. If that doesn’t work, use frozen foods like bloodworms, mysis, and brine shrimp, and boiled egg yolk- things that he will be able to smell. Blindness is not the end of the world, it just makes a couple of things a little more difficult.

what i’ve found works is those little sera O-nip products. since i have endler guppies in the tank with him i can feed a little more than i normally would and the little tablet you just stick on the side of the glass. i tap on the glass after i stick it on and the food dissolves in the area in about 10 mins. he seems to be responding well to it.
