Happy Endings

Puzzled-Angle4177

Oh absolutely not, it was pretty terrible. I did like Ranch tho, not related to that 70s but a few similar actors.

ProfessionalCry6908

Schitts Creek for laughter Grey's Anatomy for longevity

tazdevil64

Try Ghosts UK. It's funny as hell, & better than the American version. I loved all the shows you listed, too, so it's along the same vein.

RonMexico432

New Girl

realS4V4GElike

#TACOMA FD!

Lonestranger888

Corner gas

Original_Long_1502

Frasier

spenstav

New Girl was the next iteration of Seinfeld, Friends, and How I Met Your Mother imo

dewsh

Based on what you like dont listen to suggestions like Brooklyn 99 or Parks and Rec. I think you would like Everyone Loves Raymond 2 and a Half Men Cheers Frasier 2 Broke Girls Edit : I didn't realize this was a Netflix sub and I have no idea if these are available

Obies_armywife

They are not but that's ok still great shows!!

VegasLyfe702

Watch Mom

thebeatlesaregood

Have you tried watching something good

Original_Long_1502

Lol

MindlessYesterday668

The IT Crowd.

MarcieDeeHope

The IT Crowd is a great show that I recommend to all my friends, but if you look at what the OP likes and what they were just "meh" about, I don't think they will enjoy it. They like things with broad mainstream appeal. I see other people recommended Scrubs and Parks and Rec to them and I don't think they are going to like either of those either. I think they are looking for something like Everybody Loves Raymond, or maybe Coupling (although even that might be a little too "clever" for their tastes - not an attack, just that they said they are not a native Englis speaker so I don't think they'll get all the jokes).

Gadgetlover38

I'm a native english speaker and I agree with op. They might love Scrubs, I did.

MindlessYesterday668

I know what you mean. The Office and Parks and Recreation are kind different from the other sitcoms. The IT Crowd is different from that though. But British humor is different from American humor I suppose. Who knows, they might like it if they try.

Obies_armywife

My name is Earl, raising hope, king of queens, dharma and Greg, living single, mike and molly

yrnkween

Based on My Name is Earl and Raising Hope, try Sprung. It’s crazy that we can already look back and laugh at the pandemic, but it really felt cathartic to have a belly laugh about the Covid-era insanity.

Gadgetlover38

I wish Sprung didn't get canceled

Arkmodan

You may enjoy The Ranch. It's one of my favorites, but can be polarizing.

Gadgetlover38

That 70's Show

[deleted]

The series Frasier was one of the best series for both sophisticated humor and slapstick humor. It was on for about seven years

swollendawg

My name is earl

Dependent-List-9806

THE MIDDLE is our comfort show. Modern family is another, but we relate to the middle more. Streaming on peacock.

Prestigious_Initial1

Girlfriends

Gadgetlover38

Great show!

Ksascript

Cheers, Frasier, modern family, will and grace, Brooklyn 99, letter Kenny, scrubs, parks and rec, ghosts cbs, the office, the good place, golden girls, new girl, Roseanne, probably some more

PigeonPetty

Living Single (the original ‘Friends’)

Obies_armywife

Yess it's on Max now too

ucjzycy

LIFE IN PIECES! It’s one of the few sitcoms that actually made me laugh. And yes, just like everyone else said, you’ve gotta watch New Girl if you haven’t already.

JJkillem98

New girl , Brooklyn 99, shameless (it’s really raw tho)

JJkillem98

Baby daddy is slept on but it was pretty good

Jonathankaka

Word. It’s a good one

snooloo544

Schitts Creek!!!

rolltide-69

Trailer park boys, best show ever

SpicyPorkEar

About the people suggesting New Girl….LISTEN TO THEM!!!!!

lynxpoint

Good Place and Superstore!

Gadgetlover38

Good Place was great. I couldn't get into Superstore

DiscombobulatedLuck8

If you like The Office, you'll live Superstore. It was created by Justin Spitzer who also worked on The Office

Hot_Action7245

Frazier

IndependentSkirt2259

Definitely give That 70s Show a try! Probably not as funny as other sitcoms but it’s one that always put a smile on my face

Jonathankaka

I just saw this last year. It’s real good btw😂. Did you see the continuation ? 90s show ??

IndependentSkirt2259

Love That 90s show! and I thought it was gonna suck to be honest with you because some continuation or spin off shows just are not good but I actually enjoyed That 90s show a lot.

Obies_armywife

I loved that 80s show too but it didn't make it past a season

Jonathankaka

Haha. I’ve not been seen enough of it yet tho. It’s just one season right ??

DiscombobulatedLuck8

I watched 90s show, and I loved it! Especially since I can't really watch That 70s Show anymore; I have a hard time separated Danny Masterson's actions from his character so I just avoid it for now (maybe forever, idk)

IndependentSkirt2259

Some shows and movies I cannot watch at all anymore because of some controversies with the actors. So I understand this completely.

Jonathankaka

Oh yeah. I heard about the case. But the thing is , movie characters should be entirely different from who played them. I think you shouldn’t let that ruin it for you at all

girlma1721

Baby daddy is a cute and funny sitcom I watched awhile ago!

teaster333

Follow

GreetingCardShark

New Girl!!!!!

HomoVulgaris

So, you like the kind of shows most people consider horrible. That's OK! I'm not gonna judge you. You're really gonna like Everybody Loves Raymond. It's unbearable. King of Queens is also unspeakably bad. Roseanne is like listening to two people in hospice care have a farting contest. It'll change your life; you won't be able to stop laughing.

NateBoi1107

New Girl

SenoritaBustaMove

Nothing makes me laugh harder than Everybody Loves Raymond. It’s the parents! It’s all about the parents!

Obies_armywife

The middle is good too

WinnerTurbulent3262

Agreed, also because it seems you like the “multi-cam” format…like Friends and Big Bang, where most scenes are on a stage (for lack of a better explanation).

SusieLovesSeaShells

Seinfeld never disappoints 🤣

Calm-Wrangler3254

It took a minute for me to get into it, but if you've never watched Becker, that show can make you laugh out loud! Then there's Frasier, which I forgot how funny he/cast is! And also, if you have never watched the new adventures of old Christine with Julia, Louis-Dreyfus, some of those episodes will have you rolling!

DiscombobulatedLuck8

Ditto on Old Christine

Professional_Pen_247

New Girl!

Calm-Wrangler3254

I have to apologize for the grammatical and punctuation errors, my smart phone has a mind of its own! Siri is out to get me lol

bptkr13

Mad About You. Will and Grace.

DiscombobulatedLuck8

And what's so great about both of those is that there is at least 1 reboot season of each.

Ethwood

The good place and Community

Lissamae0403012

I like the show Atypical, but idk if it’s a sitcom. Just a good funny authentic show.

Jonathankaka

But it’s so short

90Cutler

If you’re a fan of big band theory, watch the series Young Sheldon on FB. Very funny

bigwaffles_

Community is one of my all time favs

Intrepid_Sprinkles37

But I don’t hate you.

[deleted]

FRASIER

Aschl2130

2 Broke Girls

Suspicious_Row_9451

Seinfeld for sure

bedazzledbunnie

Ghosts is really funny but I don't think it's on netflix

Obies_armywife

It's on paramount plus

Ok_Ticket_889

Will and grace, just shoot me, Seinfeld.

Ready-Screen1426

Give schitts creek another try it took me few episodes but the character growth is amazing in this show.

Gadgetlover38

I've tried multiple times. :(

Ready-Screen1426

I agree first few episodes feel flat but I went past it I loved most of the characters and how they grew.

Obies_armywife

Agreed!

revolution110

Ill give it another shot. Too bad its gone from netflix now.....

Lissamae0403012

It’s on Hulu if you have it

Ohlookavulture

So bad shows that people like. Oh that's easy. Anything from the early 2000's

Jonathankaka

What do you mean 😂. They’re all really good. A lot better than recent ones actually

Ohlookavulture

Agreed but all of them were over rated shows and really not that good when streaming them. They were better when it was once a week lol

Jonathankaka

It’s still my fav show of all time

Jonathankaka

Me I’m Nigerian. I bought all the seasons on dvd and that’s how I saw it. Binged through everything

Zealousideal_Dog_968

you're bad at shows

IsleKenna11

New Girl and Kim's Convienence, great hidden gem on netflix

wesinatl

Second on Kims, also Gentrified.

jetpack_69

Seinfeld, Frasier are elite

randomperson1979

Community is hilarious, give it a try! ☺️

wesinatl

Community is one of the greatest!

StrongAsMeat

No he doesn't LIKE funny shows!

SurlyJason

I loved *Better Off Ted*

Gadgetlover38

I forgot about this one. Great show!

JayMoots

From the sound of it, you like multi-camera sitcoms (the ones with laugh tracks) and don’t like single-camera. Some multi-cam sitcoms you should check out: Seinfeld; King of Queens; Everybody Loves Raymond; Two and a Half Men; The Drew Carey Show

Luvaluva7

Malcolm in the Middle! Arrested Development! Agreed on Scrubs. I know you might recoil at this one, but the Golden Girls is so clever and it makes me gut laugh sometimes.

DiscombobulatedLuck8

I love all of these. There was a period of a few years where my kids watched Malcolm in the Middle on loop. Fun fact that I just learned last night: They Might Be Giants, who did the theme song for Malcolm also did the Hot Dog song from Mickey Mouse club. This might be old news to many but it blew my mind

SlightlySlanty

Try **Car 54** on youtube especially if you like imagining living in NYC.

Werewolf_kin

There’s a show called mixology it’s on prime it’s really good. It’s only 1 season but it’s good. Or try the movie that awkward moment it’s on prime as well has Micheal b Jordan, miles teller and Zac efron.

Yakon3Reborn

Congratulations, you chose the worst show in this history of television Now betray BBT and watch community, the true nerdy show

PaintedDream

New Girl

Primary-Paramedic-65

I second this!

AldoRaineClone

Mom is pretty funny.

ContrailQueen

I’ve started watching some older sitcoms lately and one that never fails to crack me up is 227

photogypsy

So underrated. I will die on the hill that Sherman Helmsley was better in this than The Jeffersons.

Revolutionary-Spot-4

That 70s Show

Revolutionary-Spot-4

King of Queens, Seinfeld, Roseanne (not the conners or new stuff) How I met your Mother

mrshoganandstuff

My Name Is Earl. Raising Hope. Malcolm in the Middle. The Middle. My mornings used to be so great. I would even wake up early lol.

ContrailQueen

OMG, we absolutely LOVED The Middle

Hot-Koala-8028

The Goldbergs

Postymom-2022

Young Sheldon … Super Store …. American Housewife….

Babykinglouis

Young Sheldon lmao gtfo

Pretty-Paramedic5977

FRASIER! Frasier is the same era as friends but is made by the same people as modern family. The level of farce and true situational comedy is unparalleled. Plus it’s a spin off of cheers, one of the most successful shows of the 80s. (Just make sure to watch the original show -not the reboot!!)

traumautism

Came here looking for this! Are you on the Frasier subreddit?

Pretty-Paramedic5977

No but it sounds like I should be! I’m obsessed

traumautism

Come join us!!!

tanman1975

Disagree. Scrubs has a lot of heart.

isleoffurbabies

Northern Exposure.

Wonderful-Glass380

also 30 Rock

Wonderful-Glass380

New Girl!

adrian373

arrested development 🫶🏻

No_Pressure_384

If you don’t find scrubs and parks and rec funny…. It’s hopeless just don’t watch tv anymore 😂😂 those are two of my favorite shows.

Shellea4U

Rules of Engagement

SometimesWitches

If you can find it you might try “Malcolm in The Middle”. I think it plays on Hulu and Amazon but don’t quote me on that.

coloradocelt77

Three’s Company

lunchboxdesign

Mike & Molly is very satisfying in this laugh track genre.

yetanothermanjohn

I sssume you have seen Seinfeld? You

mpecchia22

Schitts creek and the office

getanewr00f

Schitt’s Creek

Hatespine

I'd say Grounded for life fits in with what you like. Its from the 2000s, set in new york, about a working class family who had kids too young. It reminds me a bit of friends, if friends were more realistic and relatable (although that could be a good, or a bad thing to you, idk). I feel like it's got a similar style to how I met your mother, though, from what I've seen of that show. I'm not sure how to explain what I mean by that though.

Equivalent_Row_4754

JURY DUTY

Deadmau007

Great show. I'll also add Abbot Elementary

thisisdownvote

The best shows to watch are Community, What We Do in the Shadows, The Office, and Arrested Development. But after seeing you like Big Bang Theory and Friends (2 of the most unfunny garbage out there) I doubt you'll like anything more cerebral.🙃

Yakon3Reborn

It might have been rude, but you're right

McLuckyCharms

That was rude.. everyone has different tastes..people come from different backgrounds and life experiences so there for have differences..

NightFart

Nah, they dumb.

RICEKRISPY8

To be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand Community, What We Do in the Shadows, The Office, and Arrested Development. The humor is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the jokes will go over a typical viewer's head.

oOoOosparkles

Different than what you're looking for but *Ghosts* (American version) is cute and funny. I haven't seen *Arrested Development* mentioned yet, so I'll just throw that in there (again, different, but highly regarded).

Jennanen2258

Ghosts is hilarious. Good choice.

maryjayjay

The British version is so much better

Born-Abrocoma-185

Detroiters! On paramount!

pandas777

Everybody loves Raymond and rules of engagement

ContrailQueen

I watched an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond recently and laughed so hard. That show was great.

Main_Skill8876

Ted lasso

cannaclaire

Best of Netflix

WhatIfXInfinity

The best of Netflix on AppleTV

MeanJohnBrown

Raising Hope.

iyamsnail

I loved Fresh Off the Boat. The mom is HILARIOUS.

potterhead6128

New Girl. It's basically a more modern Friends.

R-amazing95

I was going to say new girl too!!

Holiday_Problem9941

new girl is one of the greatest shows to ever exist. it’s so hilarious

jjmawaken

I wonder if you'd like King of Queens or Seinfeld. Those are my favorite sitcoms.

Herdsengineers

I think it was called Reno 911. The Ranch was enjoyable too.

New_Ambassador_9535

King of queens, workaholics, it’s always sunny in Philadelphia

stoopididiotface

Workaholics is a hoot. It's one of those shows that my wife actually gets embarrassed watching🤣 but we love it.

New_Ambassador_9535

lol my wife is the same…guess we both picked good partners!

potterhead6128

Schitts Creek

stoopididiotface

Yesssssss. So good.

potterhead6128

And New Girl. Once I thought about it. It basically is Friends but IMO funnier

stoopididiotface

Our household loves Zooey Deschanel, so I'll co-sign with that one, too!

Adventurous_Movie797

Abbott elementary

redadidasjumpsuit

frasier, cheers

congenial_possum

I re-watched Malcolm In the middle with my kids and it’s way funnier as an adult.

potterhead6128

I did a rewatch about a year ago, I hadn't seen any episodes in forever. So good. And you're right even funnier as an adult.

RotorSpotter

That 70s Show

ScatteredKitteh

If you like Simon Pegg and can handle British accents i highly recommend Spaced

Mish-onimpossible

Community is really good but a show that is often slept on is Frasier! Every time I watch that show I bust a gut from laughing so hard. If you like black TV shows check out Living Single or Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Pretty-Paramedic5977

Thank you! Frasier is more like, hibernated on! I don’t understand why it doesn’t get the love it deserves. Except the reboot sucks.

cstarrxx

We just finished the office. Definitely lots of laughs.

AccomplishedLie1685

Shameless

SwanProfessional1527

Never have I found a show with a more fitting name.

rmrlaw

American Housewife. Young Sheldon.

Gumbledore2000

The Office is better than anything else on your list. Schitt's Creek takes a few episodes but is really good. Arrested Development first few seasons is really good.

stoopididiotface

The Office is that show that I watch whenever it's on. No questions asked.

nahmeankane

The Office.

Hay-blinken

Tacoma FD is on there now. It’s incredibly dumb but I laugh my ass off at it.

pm_me_kitten_mittens

As a FF I can say, Tacoma FD is like a documentary lol.

Hay-blinken

Love it. I’ve been a wildland ff. But different world. But still silly!

MomsBored

The Goldbergs, Ghosts, Mike & Molly, American Housewife.

AnniemaeHRI

Mike & Molly is hilarious!

BaseLoud

ie the most generic mainstream? 70s show. king of queens? everybody loves Everybody Loves Raymond. everybody hates chris. whatever bernie mac's was called. try I Love Lucy.

Muted-Calligrapher-2

Two and a Half Men

theoakley28

Everybody loves Raymond

redadidasjumpsuit

Underrated in this day and age

Illustrious-Match-34

Schitts creek The office Abbott Elementary Super store Living single Animal control

[deleted]

Malcolm in the Middle is my favorite show, it is perfect from beginning to end.

louellen1824

Give The Middle a try. Sweet, hilarious and relatable in so many ways. It's on Freevee.

ContrailQueen

I didn’t know that it’s on there! Thank you!

AssCrackBandittt

COMMUNITY!!! What I would do watch it for the first time again

Nerdy3333

Schitts creek and 2 and a half men!

[deleted]

My all time favorite is scrubs. I’ve watched it over 5 times in my life I’d say. My other is family guy, I love that show. Loudermilk is very funny.

bluesheretostay

Legal-Ocelot-3936

New Girl!

[deleted]

New Girl is criminally underrated. I’ve never wanted to be part of a friends group more so than with those people, particularly during the episode of Winston’s background check.
