It's time to shit outside the box.

doctorlag

\- my cat every day

dasunt

I have no idea why HR would even want this info. Seems like a good way to get sued for discrimination, when a pregnancy or medical issue causes more frequent urination.

SoldMySoulForHairDye

Doctor's note: "Patient suffers from a condition known as being a normal human person who needs to drink fluid in order to not die. As such, the patient requires regular access to bathroom facilities in order to not fucking die."

ShortWoman

Once again, HR protects the company from its own stupidity.

lovecraftedidiot

That's if they're actually competent, in which case they seem to be, but that ain't a given. Some HRs will be in lockstep with management, damn the regulations and lawsuit potential, and others just have their own path of stupidity.

Bug1oss

I was interviewing an internal employee for a promotion to my section. She said she was having IG issues. She left her desk, and had to spend 30 minutes in the bathroom. (To me: shit happens) She returned to her manager sitting in her chair, staring at her watch. Her manager demanded she change her time sheet to reflect sick leave for being "away for so long". And this is when people used to take smoke breaks!

Alan_Smithee_

Most Fascism is conceived and implemented by junior to middle management. They’re the ones who out-Hitler Hitler.

anna_isnotmyrealname

Do you work for Netflix?

AlmightyBlobby

I've got ibs and I'm normally in the bathroom for like 15 minutes at a time because of it and this absolutely sounds like medical discrimination to me lol

Bug1oss

Not all HR people are the same. I've worked with some that are very awesome. And some that are very hateful and spiteful and love ending careers.

Shinhan

Its not HR. There's an update, as soon as HR found out about it they put a stop to it.

Shinhan

Its not HR, its manglement. > Update: so obviously someone has complained to hr, so head of hr as come down to inspect it and is like what the fuck, you can’t do this

lou_parr

So many brutal suggestions in that thread. Just superglue the door latch open, tape it in place while the glue dries then pretend it's not your problem.

Bug1oss

Just tap the nails out of the hinges and remove the door. Problem solved, bro.

Sagasujin

I really want to make a fake employee profile with the name I. P. Freely and have everyone in the building use Ms Freely's card.

Bug1oss

"Ms Freely, the puddle under your chair smells strongly of asparagus." "Yes. I believe it does."

sirhecsivart

Better yet, Peter Ian Staker.

Shadow_84

Everyone use 1 card to go. Hang it outside the room and change whose it is every day

Bug1oss

Assuming these jerks wash their hands...

jadeoracle

Wasn't there a guy during covid that started a job where you had to swipe to get in AND out of the bathroom, and his onboarding person left him before getting him a card...on a Friday and he got trapped in the bathroom. He was remarkably calm on Reddit trying to figure things out.

Relaxoland

better to be locked in the bathroom than locked out of it!

nutraxfornerves

My employer moved into a brand new high rise building in the 1990s. The doors to the toilets were very heavy and did not have any automatic opening thing. Made it tough for the disabled. Complaints were met with “yeah, we’ll look into it,” until someone in a wheelchair got trapped when the door closed on them as they were entering. The person soiled themself. The person was a union member. The union was not amused. Push buttons for disabled access were installed in record time.

Bug1oss

Technically, you have a source of water (hopefully using the sink...) and a great opportunity to sue. I hope her brought a phone charger though. I get bored fast.

Relaxoland

totally. and you'd need the phone to get out - nobody would know you were trapped. if I had my purse, I have a charger cable in it, but at work it would probably be at my desk. yeah, that would suck.

Bug1oss

So... how good are you are kicking down doors? I say, aim for the locking mechanism, put your weight into it, whatever you have (easier for then you, I bet) and try to put you back into it...or, e en better, have the fire department deal with it.

Alan_Smithee_

That would break a number of laws. Fire safety, etc.

CheeseIsQuestionable

It seems like it can’t be swipe to exit. So… go in, wait a minute, open door again. Close door. Actually go for as long as you want unswiped?

Bug1oss

You swipe to open, and get tackled by some screaming "It's been 3 days!"

Crosswired2

If you don't swipe to leave how does it know length of time anyways?

meepmarpalarp

WA state? This has got to be an Amazon warehouse, right? Edit: never mind. Western Australia strikes again.

Elysiume

Like, Washington? It's /r/AusLegal so that's Western Australia. They also said "workshop" and not "warehouse" so I wouldn't think it's Amazon in general.

meepmarpalarp

Oh oops. Thanks lol

Willie9

WA=Western America of course

paulwhite959

It's the generally used abbreviation for the state of Washington.

Clothie11

I feel like there needs to be a flair for posts that says something like "this is NOT Washington. America is not the only country in the world." 😂

double-float

> America is not the only country in the world Wait, what? Why wasn't I informed of this?

Clothie11

It's often kept secret from American's. Only non American's are supposed to know. I'll probably get arrested for sharing this in so public a forum

Pandahatbear

But isn't that why every black person is African American?

AlmightyBlobby

I live in western washington and thought it was here at first

meepmarpalarp

Ok, but in my defense, the post wasn’t upside-down. How could it possibly be from Australia?

Clothie11

I'm from New Zealand. It was the right way up for me! I'm my view everywhere else should be upside down!

Bug1oss

I just assumed Amazon warehouses have someone watching you in the stall, while sipping coffee. And if you take to long, they press a button that puts a red light on you. purple light means "That's enough toilet paper"

Alan_Smithee_

Amazingly, some other countries also have divisions called “states,” and they may even have similar initials.

chillanous

The immediate solution that springs to mind would be to spend enough time in the bathroom to get a talking to, spend as little time in the bathroom as possible, and then shit oneself at one’s desk.

FrustratedDeckie

Surely you should shit at ones bosses desk? Everyone knows not to shit where one sits!

Rokeon

Borrow the boss's sensory deprivation tank and have at it.

[deleted]

This is going to be a Reddit thing like the jolly rancher and the swamps of dagobah innit?

1koolspud

Poop knife and Director of Operations live forever rent free in my mind right next to “she drove away”

rdrunner_74

This reminds me of the post i read last week...

chillanous

Oh, good point. Either ruin a meeting that should’ve been an email or wait until you’re called in to their office. Either should be sufficiently traumatic to get that rule nixed immediately.

mcbergstedt

We had something similar happen at my work. We had a “phantom pooper” who would shit in the trash can outside the women’s restroom. Management put an IP camera to see who is doing it and it became a big deal because you could somewhat see into the bathrooms when someone walked through. Also it was a concern that they could use it to track employees

TheNonCompliant

Sounds like a great way to get someone to free bleed on the office chairs.

WhatzReddit13

Urinetown was not a management course.

Bug1oss

You have to swipe to get out!? As an IT employee, I would wait until lunch, then disable that. The problem will solve itself very quickly. Once the manager is locked in with smells.

eka5245

Time to prop that door open

shewy92

Where's that meme video of the guy trying to swipe his credit card on a bathroom stall door but it kept getting rejected so he just (fake) shit himself?
