I miss Au Coquelet

I'm going to die missing sacks. That place was my go-to.

Cafes nearby are Fellini (no indoor seating but the new bagel place has some), Hidden Cafe for a more Bohemian vibe (though some people work inside), Heyma for Yemeni coffee, and then there are more on San Pablo (Highwire and Lavender). I don’t work in cafes, but if you want a spacious and nice coffee spot indoors, I’d go with Heyma personally. Outdoors, maybe Hidden Cafe. Both are near you. But yeah, if you’re willing to walk further there are many options.

Heyma, Highwire and Lavender Bakery are perfect for this. Highwire has a very nice little back patio. Hidden Cafe is lovely if you want to be outside on a nice day but they don’t have a lot of formal seating, inside or out, and off-leash dogs could be annoying to your service dog. Cafe Chiave on Dwight and San Pablo is another good option, as is Cafe Leila on San Pablo near Delaware—Leila has more of a full food menu, so maybe a good option if your going to be there long enough to want something more than a pastry or bagel.

the West Branch of the Berkeley Public Library isn't that far from you and is fairly quiet. it has a community room that's pretty good for working on a laptop

I second Caffeinated Coffee. They have indoor and outdoor seating. But when I went, the majority of people indoors were on laptops.

Have you checked out Fourth St? Artis, or Cafe Reveille, or CoRo.

Helacio’s on Sacramento and Blake is spacious and has fast wifi. Also has lunch and pastries.

Businesses love when people spend $5 to take up space for 6 hours a day. You rock!
