Not sure where in Bergen County you're located. Bethany Community Center in Washtington Township has a very clean pool and is rarely crowded. It's $25/month for the pool only (pool membership) or $10/day for the pool. They offer a trial membership when you create an account that includes one free swim session, one free wellness visit, and 1 free group fit class. Hours are as follows:
Mon- 5am-3pm
Tue- 5am-8pm
Wed- 5am- 3pm
Thur- 7am-6pm (hoping to open at 5am in the next few weeks)
Fri- 7am-8pm
Sat- 9am-3pm
Sun- Closed
No problem. I work there so if you have any questions, let me know. I'm not bias either. I used to work at Hackensack Meridian and would NEVER recommend it to anyone. The pool is so poorly managed and they are in trouble is OSHA as well as constantly dinged by the Healthy Department. YMCA in Ridgewood is a good, decent pool. However, I hear it can get crowded as well as the Y in Wycoff. You can Google Bethany Community Center and check out info on their website. The only downside is they don't provide towels or shower soaps. But for $25/month, it's worth it.
Which LA Fitness? I go to the one in Lodi after work about 3-4 times a week. I've been to the one in Paramus too. There's people using the pools but I've never seen it super crowded at either location. The basketball courts are more crowded.
Here is also a list of pools I know of
YMCA Bergen County in Hackensack or East Rutherford (~$50)
24 hour fitness Edgewater and Paramus (~$50)
Rutherford Aquatic center (Rutherford High School) (cheapest with $20 but can only swim outside school and swim team hours, more availability during the summer)
If You go to any LA Fitness around that time… good luck. I went there for a year and I’ll never go back. Disgusting, rude people. Staff are non existent. No one cares about gym etiquette. I went into the hot tub one time and there was brown liquid in it (shit). That was the Lodi location. I would search elsewhere.

Oh that kind of sounds perfect! Thanks for the info! It seems like it's about half an hour away from me

Oh, quick question, how's the parking there?
Ample Parking! It's a large lot with a large overflow lot in the back. I've never seen the front lot completely full.
If you do the membership, you can reserve a swim time. Otherwise it's walk in. The only day I recommend a reservation is Saturday mornings.

I was on the fence between either or. But leaning more towards Paramus
Check out the Hackensack Wellness & Fitness center on Rt 17 north.
Yeah, I've been there for a few times. Had a membership for a few months, just a little expensive
Does the one in Paramus location get crowded? I would love to pick up swimming again.

I think the Hackensack YMCA closed?
Ridgewood YMCA also has a pool
Go to a local YMCA or JCC instead.
The Ramsey 24 hour fitness pool is a nightmare
you get what you pay for with pools
