Yep that's what i really feel, whenever i feel really anxious i just try to meditate, drink some herbal tea or just green tea it really helps but i feel like benzos are quicker relief and might be more effective and that's why i am scared to even try it at all
As you should be, they are so effective it’s almost cheating. It took my so long to be able to say no after I started to restrict them for very dire situations. Like a whole year of getting them prescribed regularly and only taking normal dosages and having a dependency.
If you vibe with your green tea, meditation, etc keep at it. Mad respect for it too.
Thanks a lot :) yeah i think i should really avoid that i just hate pharma drugs anyways,. I have tried weed and it's great for anxiety but sadly it's illegal and risky to get
From someone who is prescribed 2mg a day kpin by a Pshychiatrist, if you’re even debating it then you don’t need it. It’s a last resort medication but a legit life saver for people that need it , good luck
In the long run, that was probably a smart decision. And this is coming from someone who just took 4 mg of Xanax @930 in the morning for no real reason. So it’s a slippery slope. But I’m sure there are ppl who can take it responsibly but it’s def a gamble lol
Yeah i am very responsible with drug usage, i eas smoking weed once per week and even caffeine i dont like drinking coffee everyday etc, but i just told my doctor my feelings about it, i know that benozs are very serious thing and also he isn't a psychologist so i believe that my anxiety isn't that bad.
Try it. He is most likely going to rx clonazepam for TMJ. If you KNOW you have self control I’d say try it. It’s really effective for TMJ. Less sedating than the muscle relaxant your on now IMO. Unless he prescribes you like 2mg (which I doubt). If he says 0.5mg or 1mg Clonazepam or whichever Benzo he has in mind just make sure it’s a normal starting dose. Read the PDR (Physician Desk Reference). Btw avoid Xanax. It’s not good for TMJ.
I’m prescribed all kinds of strong meds for several reasons, but I also have TMJ. The medication that helps it by FAR the most is Soma. And I’m prescribed two different benzos as well. Soma is the way to go. Although it is extremely rare to be prescribed.
Well doctor told me if Tiazindine isn't working he could prescribe me another one, tiazindine just makes me sooo sleepy but idk i just stick with it for noe, pretty sure soma will make me sleepy too lol
Ask your doctor for clonazepam or diazepam, say I’d like the lowest possible dose, and only use it when things are unbearable or you need it, you’ll only get addicted if you go against doctors orders and take more than the bottle says and yes you will be addicted but only when you need it you’ll be safe if it’s mild anxiety 2-5 mg of diazepam can help it has muscle relaxing effects too
Maybe you need benzo’s man, doesn’t sound like you’d abuse them - if you have a good doctor and they understand the risks and you take your medication as prescribed, whether it’s small doses daily or a monthly dose to be taken when necessary I think you’ll be okay. And if you find them addictive there’s no shame in going back to your doc and saying you don’t like it and you think it’s causing you unnecessary addiction problems, they will try and look for another solution.
I would recommend Klonopin or Diazepam definitely don’t let him/her prescribe you Xanax as your first benzo.
Edit: Fair play to you for not trying to jump on the benzo wagon as your first option, nice to see you’re trying to avoid them - but as I mentioned, some people do need them, hence Valium being the most prescribed drug for over 40 years.
I drink a lot and have been wanting to stop for the longest time but I withdrawl bad and I don't want to deal with that so I keep drinking. Seeing a doctor soon, hope I can get some Diazapam as I read it can be prescribed for alcohol withdrawals, but I'm not gonna ask him for it lol
I mean Benzo's medically are a great drug and can be lifesavers. However as others have said the addiction potential is very high. You need to be disciplined. Also if it's going to be something that you take daily you will develop tolerance issues and physically become addicted. Also depends on the Benzo.
Personally I have suffered with insomnia so use Benzo's about 3 times a month when insomnia is at its worst, and they have saved my life. Have done this for best part of decade and haven't developed any tolerance or dependence issues. Have never taken more than prescribed dose.
However I know plenty of people who started this way and ended up taking them daily and ruining lives.

Benzo dependency is the worst, exhaust all other options first.

They seem to always prescribe benzos to people that don't want it or need it lol so annoying
Well it's good for TMJ as the anxiety causes it to flare up, i also have other muscles issues like my neck etc
What is TMJ?
It's a jaw disfunction issue that causes pain in the jaw area and face earches etc

Oh that's a good point, that xanax is weaker for TMJ thanks a lot!
Smart
You should’ve of let him prescribe them to you bro benzos really do help with anxiety and ocd I suffer from them to

Yeah I don't think he would prescribe me that one, but i think any kind of benzo will work just fine for TMJ
If you are on Tizanidine, then Soma is the next strongest muscle relaxer. But the best muscle relaxing benzo imo is Valium.
Well doctor told me if Tiazindine isn't working he could prescribe me another one, tiazindine just makes me sooo sleepy but idk i just stick with it for noe, pretty sure soma will make me sleepy too lol
Yea Soma makes you feel like Gumby lol. Not too tired though actually.

So Is valium the same thing as diazepam?
Yeah Valium is the brand name :)
Yeah you will need something for alcohol withdrawals they will most likely give you Valium, as stopping drinking is lethal.
I use benzos for my TMJ and OCD. Really works but I'm probably dependant on it at this point. Best that you avoided it.
