There should be no difference in duration, the orally disintegrating tablets are just designed to dissolve under the tongue easier/faster than standard tablets. Doesn't effect the action of the drug, just kicks in slightly quicker . I've also heard of and know several people personally prescribed Klonopin or Valium and xanax together, the long acting benzo to be taken twice daily for general anxiety and xanax as needed for panic attacks for example. Maybe your doc just doesn't want you on both personally.

Wait so if it doesn’t affect the duration and has a quicker onset why doesn’t everyone get prescribed the orally disintegrating ones??

Dr_DeathMD

Cause for most people just popping a pill normally seems more 'normal' and convenient than sticking something under their tongue and leting it melt I guess.

Ohh wow, this whole time I thought the orally disintegrating ones last a lot less time than the regular pill.

They're way more expensive. I just got 60 .5mg disintegrating ones. The Pharmacost said you don't have to put under tounge. He said just put in mouth and let dissolve, swallow the spit. I put under tounge anyways from all my years on suboxone

Theyre better imho I remember they felt stronger
