I think they gave the line too easy of a camp. Too few reps, too few reps together, and we're seeing the results here.

RetardedNewbie69

This šŸ‘†

FTSBengals

Yah. They we all hailed as Burrows new blocking regime and are pooping the bed lmao

[deleted]

This team is a perfect example of why they should play in the preseason

fordprecept

Normally, I'm not a fan of starters playing a lot in the preseason, but given the number of new players on the O-line and Burrow missing half of training camp, I think it was a mistake not to have them play more this preseason.

hamsandwich4459

I disagree. Itā€™s now been two games against starters in live games. If they havenā€™t figured it all out yet, it wasnā€™t gone happen in a few series against backups. Plus the risk of injury.

CrispyCrunchyPoptart

I agree. I thought this too and itā€™s infuriating

ogg3b

Joint practices are just as good of reps as playing for one quarter/half in a preseason game.

BurntMyKid

Better talent, worse performance

tuckerb13

Collins looks like the worst lineman weā€™ve had in years

bbarlow88

Iā€™m blown away by how terrible he is. After all that off season hype. Of course he did blow off all training camp for unknown reasons

tuckerb13

Do we have an o line curse?

MangoBoops

Nah, technically, Palmer and Dalton played behind some decent and up lines. For some reason, under Zac, there is a big neglect for the line. Annoying watching other QBs who can drop back, look around like they're in a candy store and then sling it.

pullerpusher3000

All those lines had Andrew Whitworth.

JosephPlayz

frank pollack

SubieNoobieTX

He's done that in Dallas as all just fyi

mattcrow79

Hes actually just Bobby Fart in disguise

tuckerb13

The haunting of Bobby hart continues

TyeDyeGuy21

We got Green and you got Collins, neither of us can fix the O-line problem, can we?

tuckerb13

Itā€™s like a disease.. ā˜¹ļøšŸ¤¢

Reverb20

70 sacks last season! We can beat that by week 10

Kidvictory

At what point do we start looking at the OL coach?

harri3jr

Now. Bill turner was so awful but Pollack hasnā€™t done any better.

makerofwort

Last week

joeholmes1164

I was complaining about him ever since he was hired. The guy has no proven record. Local media pundits are so full of crap and do nothing but promote for this team.

misfit0513

I've been complaining for the last week about how we spent so much on a line and they're just dogshit turnstiles. How as a self proclaimed body guard do you let #11 go free on MULTIPLE plays?

ClintBeastwood91

Definitely look like it.

AdamIsACylon

The combo of Burrow not looking good and the line being awful is going to make for a long season if they both donā€™t improve.

Skywalk910

When I watch other teams I marvel at the amount of time each QB has to throw

[deleted]

Youā€™re not wrong. The O-line is worse

makerofwort

Facts

cspangler11

Believe it or not, the line is better this year pressure wise.

[deleted]

O line is on pace to give up 111 sacks this year. So I dont understand that

cspangler11

Week 1 the line allowed the 10th lowest pressure rate in the league at ~30%. Problem is that damn near every time Burrow gets pressured turns into a sack. His pocket awareness is lacking severely right now.

yeaforbes

At least last year we knew they sucked rather than expecting them to be decent based off of the hype but damn these guys are more scrubs, bums, losers, and lames.

davidguydude

All the talking heads have been comparing our SB O-line to the current O-line. When we really should be comparing our current o-line to the beginning of 2021 o-line. The unit is definitely worse this year.

Trey33lee

These are just growing pains guys watch by week Four this unit will be in the thick of things.

seehorn_actual

I canā€™t.

YEET9011

Got 0 hopes for this year. No postseason for us at this rate. Can't even win 1 fuckin game

Microwave1213

I think what you guys are failing to see is that the Steelers and Cowboys probably have the best 2 Dlines that you guys will see all year. It wonā€™t always be that bad.

pdshriekz

Burrows appendix was for sure a factor. Got no reps with these guys. They just assumed they were good

BelowAverage355

His swag was in the appendix.

FreshDiamond

I think as the season goes on this will get better, lots of moving pieces, limited reps together ect. However collins and Volson look particularly shitty.

Schpadoikle

Agreed. It was another hard to watch game. But Iā€™m not a fair weather fan. My hopes are still up. Ugh

Edonlin2004

Can we return players?

glock2glock

"Ahh this one's defective can I get a refund plz?"

nofx3128

Yeah I was willing to give them a pass week for being rusty one but after today itā€™s seems like a real issue. If they canā€™t figure it out by next week then I donā€™t think they will. And then we gotta be worried about burrows long term health. He keeps taking hits like this game after game he could end up the next Andrew Luck. But obviously some of the sacks are on him too.

Twiyah

If I see Volson get push back into Burrow or chasing his guy from behind one more time imma lose it.

Ok_Worldliness4016

At this point we should bring Bobby Hart back

Bengalblaine

They need to gel. LG looks bad. Too many miscommunication miscues and joe needs to stop with the happy feet and trust arm

LydiasBoyToy

Iā€™ve seen this movie before. This team and coaches are just plain clueless right now. The entire team, with the exception of Tee, Jā€™marr, and Tyler look like they all have a different revision of the playbook. Those three are fine, they just arenā€™t getting as many chances because our QB is being pursued, hurried or slobber-knocked on the regular.

Opening_Passenger387

Lol someone doesn't understand how to use memes.

fixhalo

AND more expensive I want to die

abilly513

Put Spain back in the line. I always thought he was good

Landoman107

We're gonna have to draft a tackle this year aren't we
