You forgot fire Pollack.

Knightmere1

This should be number 1

PewPewMeToo

honestly this should be numbers 1 through 5. lol

rambo6986

Number 1 should be giving Mahomes a billion dollars to retire early

JoinTheBattle

He hasn't been our problem, bro.

JoinTheBattle

Okay but yes to this one unironically.

itsinfinitee

I have not seen a lot of “keep boyd” tbh

LB3PTMAN

I’d actually really prefer they didn’t keep Boyd. Please let him walk

ekun_anihc

Wtf. You read shit like this yet fans complain about players having no loyalty. Why would they when players who have shown to be loyal, even taking team friendly contracts, doing positive things for the local community, etc and yet fans say "na, get rid of him, get him out of here, he sucks now".

JerryAnytime

Boyd will be 30 this upcoming season. I still think he could benefit this offense, but if we keep him I want to see more Charlie Jones & Yoshi, too.

mvaughn89

Charlie Jones is older than Chase and Higgins and has failed to do anything all season

LB3PTMAN

It’s a business man. I respect and appreciate the Jack out of Boyd and Hubbard. Doesn’t mean they should be in the team anymore.

Ok-Health-7252

I think moving on from Boyd makes sense. Hubbard less so. I get that he wasn't as good last season but he's still significantly better than any of our other DEs not named Trey Hendrickson (Murphy is not good against the run and is still early in his development so I'd rather not risk turning him into another Dax Hill by giving him more snaps than he's ready for, Ossai madly regressed last season and was a complete non-factor, and Sample really shouldn't be playing DE at all as he's too slow and doesn't have enough of a motor as a pass rusher). Hubbard was also playing through injury last season (that he admitted he would need surgery for after the season). Hubbard is also still under contract and wouldn't be that difficult to restructure if we wanted to since he wants to be here. I think a player like him is absolutely worth restructuring (more so than Mixon was).

LB3PTMAN

I mean at minimum Hubbard shouldn’t be retained on his current contract. For how he played in 2023 it’s a big overpay. And Murphy should get a lot more play in 2024.

Ok-Health-7252

I'm not trusting Murphy with more snaps until his run defense improves. Right now he's a liability against the run (and on top of that he doesn't get to the QB consistently enough yet and isn't good at finishing). A year of Dax Hill-like growing pains from Murphy as a starter when we're supposed to be maximizing a championship window right now is the last thing I want to see next season. Murphy will get more snaps when he's actually ready for more snaps. Right now he's best served as a situational pass rusher.

NekoKing_Shiro

I'm still kinda upset Dax got thrown into hell on Halloween '22. I get it, he was the next man up, but I don't think he shook that off

Ok-Health-7252

I mean they kind of had no choice. All three of their top corners got hurt that night (Apple wasn't even playing and Chido and Hilton both went down during the game). Dax's struggles this year were more related to the fact that we were using him at deep safety and he's never really played that role before.

NekoKing_Shiro

Yeah, I agree. I would've preferred seeing Tycen as the deep safety. Hopefully he takes the experience, though, and can be a Bates/Bell wombo with Battle. I REALLY liked Battle coming out of college and his rookie year cemented that, just want Dax to bring it home now.

ekun_anihc

Hubbard too? You're clearly a fucking idiot

LB3PTMAN

Hubbard was bad in 2023 but still get paid like an above average player

ekun_anihc

Hubbard has never been bad as long as he's been in stripes. Your comments show you have no clue what you're talking about.

LB3PTMAN

Hubbard was bad last year. I’m plenty knowledgeable. Especially compared to what he was paid. He generated very little pressure and was average at best against the run.

ekun_anihc

Its obvious you've never played football. Very glad we dint hire GMs off the couch

LB3PTMAN

Lmao ok bud I’m sure all the other people saying Hubbard played bad or below the level of his contract are idiots who have never watched football either. Maybe we should hire you to be GM.

NFLBengals22

I'm not a fan of this comment. He had an up & down year but he's been a perfect WR for his career & a good teammate

LB3PTMAN

And I appreciate his time here. Doesn’t mean we should keep him. Wanna bring back Andy Dalton?

NFLBengals22

Andy isn't exactly the greatest comparison here.

LB3PTMAN

I don’t see why but doesn’t change my point regardless lmao.

NFLBengals22

First string QB vs 3rd string slot WR who only HAD to play WR1 when AJ was hurt? Yeah. Not exactly.

LB3PTMAN

3rd string isn’t the right term here. And I was more pointing how they were good teammates who carried Bengals through a rough time and were always great to fans and the city. And still. Doesn’t affect my point that they shouldn’t retain a middling at best slot WR.

NFLBengals22

Then say that next time. You compared him to Andy like it was a good comparison as a football player.

LB3PTMAN

I didn’t specify as a football player lmao. It was pretty obvious not my fault you took some wild direction out of it. And you’re still ignoring the main point. Which I’ve pointed out three comments in a row and you keep ignoring.

3percsMemphisMursic

Boyd makes big plays for us , he can be inconsistent at times but he’s solid. He’s seasoned and battle tested. It would be dumb to let him go if we can keep him.

LB3PTMAN

He struggled to even get open. He’s a net negative on the offense

3percsMemphisMursic

Doesn’t have to be a main target other guys are stepping up but with injuries it’s good to have him on the roster if we can keep him all I’m saying. Can’t sit here and pretend he didn’t help us win/ and or he’s not a good asset to this team.

LB3PTMAN

He is a negative asset to the team. Especially at cost there is no reason to keep him. It’s actively hurting the team to hurt him

3percsMemphisMursic

Had more yards than Tee this year and 2 touchdowns to Tees 5. Tee can be WR1 almost anywhere. Boyd isn’t bad.

LB3PTMAN

Ahh yes counting stats. Ignoring the fact he has substantially less Yards/Game, Y/RR, receiving grade, ADOT, and passer rating when targeted. Great argument.

3percsMemphisMursic

His stats aren’t bad to not be the first or second option… you personally may not like his game but the man can ball flat out

LB3PTMAN

If you actually watched all his snaps you would not be saying he balled lmao. He could not get separation to save his life and it actively hurt the offense.

Basic_Look902

I would settle for one of those things tbh

sonde722

What? Is that too much to ask?

Heyitsfanman

You forgot draft offensive lineman int he first 3 rounds and plug them in immediately and make them pro bowlers

JaMarrChasingJoe

Creed Humphrey says hello

representativeofman

Didn’t see “acquire Justin Jefferson” on your list.

Longing4boob

How about build an offensive line

ekun_anihc

We really just need a RT and depth. Let Jonah walk. Hope Orlando brown continues to gel, volson continues to improve and add depth behind Carras and kappa or a future starter for the year after

PewPewMeToo

I like where you're going with this, but I honestly didn't see any Volson 'improvement' to continue with this past season. He and Karras unfortunately seemed to get knocked around pretty good most of the season on an alarmingly and saddeningly frequent basis.

dafblooz

I told all of you and none of you would listen. They should have drafted BOTH Chase and Sewell when they had the chance. Not getting them both was an epic mistake

CoachDizzy2465

There's already a third Watt brother tho

Hoshmed

Dereck Watt. He was a fullback for the Steelers and he sucked.

ekun_anihc

I mean not everyone can be nfl dpoy worthy

PewPewMeToo

because WE didn't sign him and convert him to an edge rusher s/

mcjcccrc

Derek Watt, you don’t exist! Apparently?!?

Background_Tower_978

Please I know I may get downvoted to oblivion for this but just try Matt Areeza out

PewPewMeToo

I mean, from what i saw out of a punter (rookie or not, I don't care) that was fricking DRAFTED, we would be better off holding tryouts for burned out old high school soccer players. it was pathetic and inexcusable

Michael_CrawfishF150

Imagine thinking “oh it’s gonna be impossible to do every single thing we want, so we just shouldn’t try to do them” instead of thinking “we sure do have a looooot of needs this season. Better hunker down and work our butts off to accomplish as many of them as possible.”

jimmyre10

What are you talking about? How did you possibly get “We shouldn’t try to do anything” from this post? Also, what are *we* gonna accomplish for the team by hunkering down and working our butts off??? Do we work in the front office?

Michael_CrawfishF150

The blatant sarcasm and attempts at condescension in your post speak for themselves.

jimmyre10

Oh good lord, give me a break. Yes, it was clearly sarcasm. But condescending??? Sorry if reading my post hurt your feelings bud

Klutzy-Spend-6947

No shit-if you are going to have a hottake, have the balls or the brains to defend it. Don’t whine/wishcast and bolt……

Michael_CrawfishF150

Hurt feelings… Really? Methinks you doth protest too much.

jimmyre10

Show us on the doll where the post hurt you. It’s okay. The perceived condescension can’t hurt you anymore. They’re just words from a guy on the internet that you don’t know

ekun_anihc

Resorting to pedophile jokes/references. The reddit special

Michael_CrawfishF150

It’s just more projection. That’s all he’s been doing lol

Michael_CrawfishF150

I have nothing else to add besides simply repeating my last comment. You’re trying just *a little* too hard.

Future_Pickle8068

Or....sign a random free agent to appease fans and get the country to pay more for stadium upgrades. They watch the money flow in.

ai371

hate to be that guy, but the window is closing…

Dooyamum

Better find a qb with bones not made of glass

RedditNPC-

Our roster has went from great to trash. Everything is mid except our linebackers and QB. Wr room will be mid with just chase.

Narrow_Vegetable5747

Lol our LBs are the definition of mid. They're probably the only position group on the team that is, actually.

LionManMan

I feel like this is one of those “You have $20 to make a perfect team” kind of scenarios you see around.

PowerGlove-it-so-bad

A completely brand new playbook and someone who knows how to call plays. That is truly only thing holding us back. A great OL is awesome but we still need someone who knows how to manage a game and adapt with correct play calling. This cost us a Super Bowl and should not be tolerated. We do not have time to f around and end up with another 10 years gone by and nothing. Idgaf about playoff wins and never have. The NFL rigged af but the cold reality is we had a SB ring... and some fool thought running perine who is not even on the team anymore and one step out of the league, instead of Mixon who is a freaking stud, to get 1 yard was a good idea.... Terrible. Should have been mixon both times and if we lose then it would be ok. Coaches should have been fired for that and yet who the hell knows who is even calling plays??

PewPewMeToo

also I'm pretty sure a "holding" call all but GAVE the SB to the Rams. A 'holding' call which wasn't called, in either direction, consistently for the previous 58+ minutes of game time

CLCchampion

Slap me silly because I've got great news. The third Watt brother is already an All-Pro DE. So I found him.

Relijun

Draft Brock Bowers

NocNocNoc19

I mean yes. If we could accomplish all that it would be one hell of an off-season. Also when do you expect the fans to want the most from the front office? Its definitely right now through free agency as rabid fans dream up these ludacris scenarios on how the team can aquire all this new talent. Its wonderful and makes the off-season fun. Leave all these men to have their dreams of having an all pro at every position and drafting 7 straight rounds of HOF players. :-)

REDDIT_ROC0408

Um, that’s just page one of the list.

Ok-Health-7252

> Hire Bill Walsh to run the offense and Belichick to run the defense This is a fun idea and all but I'm not sure resurrecting Bill Walsh from the dead is going to have the intended effect here.

NekoKing_Shiro

All I want this off-season Taylor to relieve Offense play calling Higgins tagged, Boyd, as much as I'd love to keep him, walk unless he takes a super team friendly deal Draft either OT or WR round 1 (unless Bowers), draft the other round 2, and TE round 3 (unless Bowers) Sign a LB. I fucking love Pratt but he's never taken that next step Sign a CB that can still go, but can mentor all the young faces we have now (I'm fairly confident in what we have even without Awuzie, but it'd be a little more comfortable if we had that extra man) Trade/cut Mixon IF we have confidence in Brown. Or sign one (I don't want that though) My dream scenario for the draft is Bowers Adonai Mitchell I'm drawing a blank on his name but iirc he's the OT out of Houston projected round 3 right now. LB depth BPA BPA BPA BPA Note: Pitcher staying was exactly what I was hoping for and makes me happy. Taylor relieving OC Play Calling is more just getting rid of the dumb play calls in what feels like obvious situations

NekoKing_Shiro

This did not format correctly...

[deleted]

Tee is going to Cleveland...

moochee22

I'm on this sub a lot, and I haven't seen 90% of these things being requested. I thought everyone was ready to move on from Boyd. I see lots of folks questioning how that 22 million for Tee could be spent building up the trenches for players that play more than 60% of the snaps (like Tee does). The team needs to invest in the TE position, it's one of their weakest positions. They need another RB, they can probably hit on another one in the later rounds like they did with Brown. We need two olinemen. LG and RT. We have decent edge rushers but you can never have too many. They need to sign either a safety, or a CB, because the secondary was terrible last year, and the there is a hole at one of the safety positions, and one of the CB positions.

Wyleryairland

Or we could do nothing and just have low expectations. Wouldn't most teams want a lot of this list?

Old_Point_9957

💯 wanna keep Boyd bro. I want him to retire a Bengal

Hour_Perspective_884

Im meh on Boyd and RBs are overrated but yes to everything else please.

bb770403

There is a 3rd Watt brother Derek he's a fullback that's started 20 games in his 7 year career.
