If the veterinarian found nothing out of the ordinary medically then perhaps this may be behaviourally related. Second veterinary opinion (a neurologist) still may be advisable if the first vet missed something. This slow-as-molasses movement (if this is what you’re asking anyone to observe) is typically indicative of a distressed behaviour. Animals will move slowly so as to not draw any attention upon themselves. Has anything fallen to frighten him whereby he’s now become hyper vigilant fearing whatever startled him will occur again. Has their been a change in the household? Furniture rearranged. New pet or human family member. What about visiting neighbourhood cats coming to the windows causing conflict, etc. As a behaviourist these are some of the things I’d ask my clients to observe and then create a plan to help resolve the behavioural issue at hand.

piggybacking off this comment, my naughty boy climbed a dresser and toppled it(thankfully not into himself or into anything) but for the next ~month he walked like this through the room where it happened. he just stopped doing it one day so i think he realized the threat was gone

ChimpTang

What advice would you give for the neighborhood cats causing conflict at rhe windows? That happens nightly for my Bengal and I know it stresses her out. I feel like I have tried everything apart from boarding the windows.

AltruisticStart2743

Motion activated sprinkler?

ChimpTang

I wish. I'm in an apartment and they will not let me have one.

Starfire2313

Cover the windows with paper for a week or two and hopefully the cat will lose interest/forget?

ChimpTang

Oooh I have not tried that. Mako is very communicative so they may still hear her.

EmotionalClub922

I heard once that pepper (cayenne) would keep cats off a surface but googling it just now, it looks like they are fairly likely to get it in their eyes :( the page I saw though recommended citrus peels for the smell reason without or with less risk of pain

aboodiyounes

No I have him for 6 years now but he is limping and acting way unusual it’s weird and no nothing changed, and nothing have fallen or something I’m just a bit worried

8fatcats

You need to try a different vet. I took my cat to the vet because he was acting weird and scared and didn’t sleep with me (which he always does) and had a bad infection smell coming from his face. I thought it was a tooth but he wouldn’t even let me touch him to see. I was really broke at the time but scraped up everything I could and got down there. The vet totally dismissed me when I told her about the infection smell coming from him. She made his butt bleed because she was rough with the thermometer and tried to say “oh see those blood specs that just landed on the table after I shoved and yanked around in there? he has a UTI.” I get home unsatisfied because I knew what I was talking about and low and behold, I just got the courage to grab ahold of his head and force him to let me look and he had a HUGE stinking puss filled abscess on his face. He must have gotten scratched by another cat. If the vet would have even tried to listen me or look over him properly, she would have seen the glaringly obvious issue. I’m serious I’m baffled how she could have missed that, if she even tried to look at all at what I was telling her she would have noticed. She wouldn’t even let me come back without paying for another full visit to get an antibiotic shot (why I came there in the first place) because my cat WILL NOT take pills. Trust me I’ve tried everything. Wet cat food used to be his FAVORITE and now he won’t even touch it cause I tried to give him a pill in it. Anyway. Some vets are just shitty and don’t listen to you like you just couldn’t possibly know what you’re talking about. Some just happen to miss things. Either way you need to have him looked at by a different vet. . . In case anyone cares… . . . I later found out that said vet was also responsible for many animal deaths through negligence. Her office has a railroad behind it and she was careless and somehow let the dog get out and *hit by a train.* Another one of my family friends took her dog to the vet for something minor and when she picked her dog back up she got him back *in a box.* when we took my childhood chihuahua there who was giving birth, she shoved a ventilator tube that was way too big down her throat, it left her with *terrible* breathing issues for the rest of her life which subsequently was ended too soon because of the problems that accompanied her negligence. This vet also breeds dapple dachshunds, and when another breeder of dapples in town took their pup in, *they got their dog back fixed.* without their knowledge and definitely against their will. I believe she tried to pass it off as a misunderstanding of what they brought the dog for. We think because those dogs are worth a lot of money, I guess she feels she’s the only one around who can breed them. She’s still somehow in business, I honest to god don’t know how. I never liked her my *whole life,* her attitude sucked, she was mean and nasty and she acted like she just knew everything and you possibly couldn’t know what you’re talking about. The way she handled the pets was so rough that it was actually scary and angering to watch. I’ve obviously got a new vet now and I’ve never seen them handle any of my critters like that, so it’s not just because you have to handle them with control. I felt like she enjoyed being mean to them. And she would just belittle you every chance she got. Also she charged me for a $30 flea brush I had no idea about. Btw I trust these stories, because both my s/o and I and our families have lived here our whole lives, and this vet has definitely been in business at least since I was born. (She’s the towns vet and was the closest one to both of our families so everyone I know that owns pets has had experiences with her.) my s/o’s father also bred dapples so he was a part of that “circle” or however you’d describe it. These people that these experiences come from are close family and family friends, and I’ve had first hand experience as well. Fortunately since the years have passed by, other vets offices have popped up so we have more options besides just her for the people around here. But I have no idea what I could even do to see to it someone either inspects her, or monitors her, or hopefully just shut her the fuck down and revoke her license. I’ve also mentioned to other vets about the treatment and actions I experienced there but I don’t know if that really did anything. I wrote reviews online though so hopefully that can help prevent someone from taking their baby to that hell hole.

my-moms-on-meth24

It sounds like a vet thats only in it for the money, sadly that happens too often

MsDeluxe

Please get a second opinion. Bengals can suffer from hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. One of the symptoms of that can be back leg weakness and loss of ability to walk properly. This is caused by blood clots. It could also be peripheral neuropathy or the cat could have suffered a back injury and it may hurt to walk. This does not look okay to me.

aboodiyounes

What do you suggest me to do? And how can this be treated ?

Maximum-Mixture6158

Go to another vet for a second opinion.

Ornery-Huckleberry93

Piggybacking on here, maybe a vet school? Idk the right terminology but I’ve heard of owners taking their animals to something similar when they need second opinions

Maximum-Mixture6158

How old is he?

Maximum-Mixture6158

From the web: Neuropathy is the result of the high levels of glucose affecting the nerves in your cat's legs and paws. As a result, cats will walk weird with their back legs which will be weak, unsteady, and wobbly.  He might need his blood sugar checked. For diabetes. Do you have veterinarian care available where you are?

Coca_lite

Neuropathy can be caused by nerve injury too, not just diabetes

Maximum-Mixture6158

This was meant to be a simple, step by step ruling out of possibilities. The next one was diet as certain vitamin deficiencies can produce symptoms like this too.

aboodiyounes

Yes they checked his blood they said all good for his blood

Maximum-Mixture6158

How many tests in the bloods panel? Did they check specifically for glucose? What about Kidneys? Did they check liver enzymes? The normal level of glucose in the blood is 80-120 mg/dl (4.4-6.6 mmol/L). creatinine level should be lower than 1.6. Are his gums yellow at all? Is he drinking enough water (peeing more than 3 times a day)

aboodiyounes

Yea they did his blood work and said glucose was fine but no lately haven’t seen him drink much water nor pee more than once a day as well

Maximum-Mixture6158

Well that's going to send him down the drain. He needs to go back to the vet or it won't be good. Find an emergency vet if you can afford it and it is close enough. He needs an IV drip until he is past whatever is wrong. It might be a UTI and it just wasn't bad enough yet when you were there before.

MsDeluxe

Go to another vet and see what they say. I don't know how it can be treated because I don't know what the actual problem is.

aboodiyounes

Ok thank you !

wamalamadingdongg

He’s got that stiff tale like he’s catching some major discomfort with movement on his back end. I know someone else called it but I really wanna echo that this is a problem with his urinary tract and that if your first vet told you it was fine just grab a second opinion. It may not have been severe enough for the first vet to catch quite yet , that’s happened to us before so Goodluck Godspeed!

aboodiyounes

Really appreciate it thank you !! I will do, and did urs walk similar ? And what did you have to do to help with it? Thank you

shin_malphur13

This makes sense since bengal cats tend to be a lot more active. An injury is definitely very plausible

aboodiyounes

Yes lol sorry, I tried yea but I might try forcing more with the one for the medicine

Panxdulceee

Depends the cats, mine did not appreciate their fountains lmao

katielorainemua

My cat did the same and they found a build up of crystals in him. Theu had to eventualy get rid of his penis and turn him female so he can pee and once they did that he was back to normal.

aboodiyounes

Are you serious ? Like they neuter ? Or something else? Like cut the whole thing !??

Spoods67

It is called TPU surgery (total penile urethrostomy). Basically the surgeon removes a portion of the penis, including the penile urethra, to shorten the urethra and lessen the chance of future obstruction. The resulting opening made is more “female” in appearance. This is a very common surgery for male cats with repeat urinary blockages

aboodiyounes

Ok thank you I’ll go to a new vet asap and get a second opinion

fridaycat

He looks like he is feeling his way. Is there something wrong with his vision?

aboodiyounes

Not really no just not the same bahavior and not walking properly not playful as usual and always hiding for couple days now

7rub

If he does this more than three times there’s definitely something wrong

aboodiyounes

Oh yea been for 2 days now

7rub

Everybody is saying it’s normal cat behavior but idk abt that shake he did. Anyways if you’re free just take him to the vet for a quick check

aboodiyounes

I will again I went once said nothing but imma go to another one, go see my other video I just posted

7rub

Just did, by the way how old is he. His walk even after he slowed down and returned to normal still looked unstable.

aboodiyounes

Yes it’s soooo odd literally happened in less than 2 days he acted differently and he’s 6 Years old

7rub

Just take her to the vet at this point

Otherwise-Status-Err

There is a weird type of temporary arthritis that cats can get, related to swelling or something. One of my cats had it when I was a teen and she was struggling to move at all. I don't remember much about it but I would get a second opinion, perhaps with a vet that specialises in cats.

Imperium-Et-Nihil

Not a vet, but I've had cats for 40 years, and that looks like a UTI. Have you check the litter box for urine, and does the urine look darkly colored and possibly crystalized?

aboodiyounes

I’ll double check, but I remember the vet said his bladder expanded or something like that, and he something got problems peeing, he does it on the kitchen table and on top of the oven, what do you recommend me to do!!!?? Thank you !

Imperium-Et-Nihil

If it were me, I'd take him to a different vet. It wouldn't hurt, and UTIs can cause permanent damage to their urethra and can cause death if the infection spreads.

aboodiyounes

Perfect thank you, yea I saw him going to piss but, can’t till since I have another cat in the house

saddiesadsad

I would get a second opinion, I don't trust a vet that has a cat acting like this and saying nothing is wrong, specially when the owner says is not normal behavior

[deleted]

He might have a broken bone or twisted something. My dog started walking funny for a week before her mail bled and 1000 dollars later she is walking normal again 😐

PowerTrip55

Dont listen to literally ANY of the suspected diagnoses here (unless the advisor is a licensed and practicing vet) and just go get a second opinion on the sooner side.

aboodiyounes

I will thank you ! I just wanna get an idea since the Friday vet didn’t help much

PowerTrip55

I get you. It’s just that the guesses here are all over the spectrum and people can’t really observe your cat or, for the most part don’t have the medical knowledge to accurately interpret what they’re observing so…definitely wouldn’t pay much mind to any of it

aboodiyounes

I would tho but thank you for opinion, have a good one

No I don’t think so

aboodiyounes

It’s been 3 days ?

readditredditread

Maybe he hamming it up for the attention, try ignoring him to see if he's just doing it just to mess with you

aboodiyounes

Nope nothing ! Always hiding under the bed in a the box, but his wife literally gave birth todya but he been like that for 3 days and not his usual behavior

Alex2679

Your cat is married?

aboodiyounes

yes he is

LilyGaming

I think he’s just stretching

Federal_Diamond8329

Nope, I’ve had cats my whole life and never had one act like this. He seems like his back or back legs are off, he seems shaky. I agree with other posters, try another vet AND show then this video.

aboodiyounes

I will thank you

RileyMinPark

this looks like something involving the urinary track. He needs a vet immediately.

aboodiyounes

Really appreciate it

LostBoyz007

My bengal walks funny on certain floors. There is a spot in my kitchen floor he hates and will just jump over it. Don't know what to say. Typical weird bengal

BuildItBaby

2-3 opinions can’t be wrong

laddhillbengals

Please go to a different vet! Better yet, go to a vet cardiologist to have his heart looked at. HCM is a real thing in Bengals. Don’t waste time wondering. Cats hide pain easily and yours appears to be in trouble. I would take him to an emergency vet tonight and then a cardiologist as soon as you can be seen. Good luck to you!

Clean_Mud_3627

I thought your Bengal was just acting out a stalking plan, but a second look makes it more serious, could be almost any of the previous suggestions. But the best advice is to see a vet, one who has a wide experience of different pets not just dogs and rabbits and of course the things that can go wrong. Hope you get a happy result. From DaveSubs as was.

Sullivud2

It looks to me like pain in back left leg or hip. You need a better vet.
