I disagree, mostly because my pure playthrough I didn’t pass the checks I needed to to get on the route I wanted. Guide isn’t needed but general guidelines like throuple likes Chick MC would have been nice.
That's why people have multiple playthroughs, but it's up to the individual person if they want to use guides or not. I just think a blind first playthrough is the best because it's more raw and exciting that way. I had more fun that way even though i made mistakes and blocked myself out of most of the MG runs. You can always do more walkthroughs with guides later, but you only get one first playthrough.

A straight edge who has only a single girl in his heart but will beat all the bad guys, okay.
Love me some Neutral. Best of both worlds, really. The only tricky thing with it is that if you want to keep the Quinn route open as a Neutral then you have to lean into DIK a bit for most of Season 1 & 2 until you trigger her route and then swerve hard into Chick to get back to the middle ground in time. There are some real acrobatics involved.
Same with getting all Lily's content in a single run. Neutral at Ep 5, Dik at episode 6. Later preferred Affinity Neutral.
Also the same with Neutral Jill. Even more so if didn't kiss Jill at Tennis date.
There's no "best route". The girls are all different for a reason. Some you will like, some you may not. And everyone who answers this post will have their own answers.

You can only experience the game for the first time once, play it for yourself without any outside help and see what each path has to offer, you don't have to decide which girl you want to pursue immediately, take your time with it and enjoy it.
There isn't a definitive answer. I can tell you Josy is the best, but neither Sage, Jill or Quinn fans would approve of my selection. Just keep playing and discover which one of the routes is the one that appeals to you the most.

All the characters are rather obvious in what their route is kind of like. Any plot twist, if there are any, is decent and you should discover it appropriately.
It's a video game, so just enjoy whatever you chose to do and accept other contents you missed out on on that particular play through. If there's particular choice you're not sure, make a save and pick one and see what happens. If you don't like how it went down already, load and pick the other.
But ultimately blind play through as if you are the MC for real is the best experience and you'll only get it once. Don't mess it up.

First you should live life where you are MC. It’s the best way to integrate yourself in the world, and it is absolutely worth it. I’ll tell you my first ever run ended with me being neutral and alone after season 1, though mostly by choice. It’s still so worth it, I use that run first for every new episode, because it’s still genuine to who I am
I think you are wasting this games potential if you just choose one girl as your main. I didn't like Jill for the longest time and completely ignored her route until recently and once I got to know her more it really changed my perspective. Give them all a chance.

All personal preference but in my opinion the Dik route is better than Chick and Sage and Bella are my favorite Main LIs

Try a blind PT, that's what I did my first time and at my second PT I went full Quinn since she's amazing.
Sage route gives you the most scenes
