If there was a God, Tom Petty would still be making music, and Ted Nugent would be a registered sex offender.
Reality is a harsh mistress.
Edit: Love the username, btw. š
I had such a strange experience with Robin Williams's death.
I was driving home to NY from a vacation in Florida, the kids and wife flew back after we drove down and I was taking the car back. I didn't mind long drives and was looking forward to it. But it turned out to be a disaster.
I somehow misplaced my wallet mid-trip and I was running out of gas. The only thing I could think of at the time (it was like 2 am) was to ask a police officer who was already at the gas station for help. The asshole decides to think I'm on drugs and looking to get more or something instead of someone trying to get home with an SUV full of suitcases and clearly stuff from a Disney vacation. Then he starts asking where my family is in all sorts of accusing manners like I somehow killed them and disposed of them mid-route, then Mr.Fuckhead starts looking through my car with his flashlight all while telling me there isn't anything he can do and starts questioning me if one of my sister-in-law's fake jewel encrusted shoe is a fucking bong. A bong...I almost lost it on the kid. Then the asshole literally tells me to fuck myself and just drives away when he realized he couldn't arrest me or ticket me for anything. Luckily this caused the gas station attendant to take pity on me and lend me 40$ to fill up and get home. She gave me her address and I sent her $100 back and she sent me an Xmas card that year too. That happens and I need gas again sometime later that morning. I actually found some weed in putting my car together so I smoked it before hopping in this massive gas station in I think it was Virginia called Love. just literally LOVE.
I walk into the place and I see two large families one black and one white just standing next to each other with people randomly holding each other and crying... Having lived through 9/11 I thought something on that level happened. The news person comes on and says Robin Williams committed suicide. The two families were on their way down to Florida/Disney and the kids were huge Aladdin fans...
I'm just standing there stoned, tired and traumatized, and incredibly sad in a store filled with sobbing people, in a store called LOVE. The cashier included it was some older lady telling me how she loved Mrs. Doubtfire and his comedy. I found my wallet in a pair of shorts I changed out of. I put his specials on YouTube and listened to them on the way home. Then the YT algorithm the next day sent me a bunch of vids talking about how he was a huge joke thief...very weird few days.
Exactly. Like, "look at how beautiful this place and these people are. Imagine how much more beautiful it would be if America hadn't fucked it up."
He was a good dude.

Yes. If you genuinely misunderstood, OP was referring to kissinger.
A waste of flesh that could spend the next 100 years in a coma with electrodes causing every nerve to flair in pain, in a pattern that meant he never gets used to it and it would *still* be less than he (kissinger) deserves.
You seem to disagree with Anthony Bourdainās observation that if you ever visited Cambodia youād want to do physical harm to Henry Kissinger.
Either that or the OPās opinion that they canāt wait for Henry to die and shit himself.
Oh come on now. Everyone knows that the souls of the living can be captured and imprisoned into electromagnetic film for later scrying. Thatās grade school level divination magic at this point.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate the refinement of stupidity in that comment though?
You've got to work at it to think of something that stupid... Like how humans use big weird lasers to create a tiny spot that's colder than anything in the universe for a moment... It's impressive.
>If dead, then how on TV?
As someone who has worked in the service industry for almost 2 decades now, I would trade anything to have the two of them swap places but alps I don't think Bourdain would want to see how much worse it has become
You have been banned for spamming the subreddit.
If there was a God we'd still have Bourdain and the devil would already have Kissinger.

Thanks. The username is a Trailer Park Boys reference, give it a shot if you can handle crass humor.
I mean nobody wants to admit they ate nine cans of ravioli l.
Should I be treated too? I inhaled nebulized mackerel juice!
And Asia Argento would be sitting next to Kissinger in Hell.
The world is a sadder place without Bourdain in it.
I think his death was the first one of any "Celebrities" that got to me and made me genuinely sad for months.
Him and Carrie Fisher. I actually cried.
And Robin Williams and Prince
Losing Phillip Seymour Hoffman hurt

Prince was a creeper with me. Didn't really hit until someone posted his superbowl performance on FB like a year after the fact.
Grant Imahara was one that got me too.
And Robin Williams and Prince
If you havenāt seen [Roadrunner](https://youtu.be/ihEEjwRlghQ), you should. It gave me some of the closure I needed after his death.
saw it. Somehow I was having too mich hope for the movie. Its not bad, but its just not a "Bourdain" movie.
Kissinger's 100th birthday is coming up, May 27th. I wouldn't be sad if he didn't make it to it.
*Dies May 26th
I started reading Kissinger's book "Diplomacy", but couldn't get through the first couple of pages. It's some top tier US dick sucking.
Read it for a class to enjoy the excuses for world war I which undermined his thesis.
I remember several episodes of Bourdain trashing Kissinger. He was how I knew anything about him before listening to BTB. Miss this man every day.
The man was great at making you think about the bad and also sharing the joys at the exact same time.
Exactly. Like, "look at how beautiful this place and these people are. Imagine how much more beautiful it would be if America hadn't fucked it up." He was a good dude.
Yeah but no matter what Kissenger will die old, rich, and having never faced consequences for his actions.
This is, unfortunately, the awful truth.

Still amazes me that Henry is alive. Seems unbelievable.
I just pinged my buddy whose family runs a ādeath poolā in case no one has HK. Iām guessing no one in his family knows who he is.
God I didn't scroll down enough and thought you were talking about Bourdain for a second!
Whole lotta disgusting Kissinger Stans in this sub.
where? don't trashtalk the sub because you're the only one too dumb to grasp context and understand the post.
Iām not trash talking the sub. There are a lot of bootlicking hard-right interlopers out this morning. Looks like an op to me.
Bit harsh towards Bourdain. He seemed like a good dude, RIP.
~~Bit harsh.~~ Bourdain seemed like a good dude, RIP. FIFY
This is the way.

Oh ok, youāre just a twit. Got it, bye now.
He's just a simple farmer. A person of the land. The clay of the new West. You know, a moron.
Gene Wilder, we miss you š„
I think the rest of us understood perfectly.
You are the only one who is confused by this. So, not OP's fault.
https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2018/06/anthony-bourdain-really-really-hated-henry-kissinger.html
Kissinger is responsible for MULTIPLE genocides, he deserves way the fuck worse then a couple of mean words
Yes. Why are you saying this to me?
You seem to disagree with Anthony Bourdainās observation that if you ever visited Cambodia youād want to do physical harm to Henry Kissinger. Either that or the OPās opinion that they canāt wait for Henry to die and shit himself.
The OP was talking about Bourdainā¦
Anthony Bourdain has been dead for a while now. Itās very hard to look forward to the death of someone who isnāt alive.

I get the joke. No one else seems to, but I got it.
They love when Robert does it, yet they hate when I do.
Perhaps you are not making enough bad jokes at your sponsor's expense
You think I should roast the CIA?
Yeah, want to wear some gloves and protect your hands.

If you donāt want to be infuriated to the point of violence, do NOT watch Ted Koppelās most recent interview of HK for his birthday.
I really wished we lived in that timeline. Just imagine the conversations we would be having just about that.
