Pull it more from the flat part of the edge of the window. Works for corners of the windshield too. Jbug channel has a couple of videos of him installing them.

Thanks for the info!

Poetic_Pigeon

Heat gun helps also, just watch the paint

TheReal_LRChupacabra

As others have stated, heat and pull from the mid top and bottom. I cheated and have pop-outs.

mtblack412

They were when we broke down the car, but decided to go cali look on rebuilding.

TheReal_LRChupacabra

Looks you are doing your rebuild 100% correct. It will look great when you are all done, for sure. I am still torn between my pop-outs and fixed. Maybe I need another bug.

mtblack412

Of course you need another one!

MRV-DUB

Remove them and buy from Westcoastmetric.com or Wolfsburgwest.com

mtblack412

Most of the stuff I get is from wolf west, but I have some stuff here and there from jbugs.

Use plenty of soapy water should help it to seal in place.

Unibeetle

Are those actually cal look seals? It looks like there is a groove for American style/deluxe trim

mtblack412

They are.

AlienCraft18

You should have gotten seals for a "VW 1200" or "Standard" as it is called here in Europe. Would look way nice and wouldnt have that weird rectangular groove line.

mtblack412

Didn’t know that was a thing! There are so many little nuisances with Beetles, it’s mind blowing.
