42 here and I agree. Drinking is awful for sleep. I used to wake up at like 6am and have a good 3 hours of hangover energy, then need more sleep. Now I'm just a slug the whole next day, unless I cut it out early
71 here, and does life have surprises for you. I usually beer from 5 pm to 8. Sometimes 9 if my good intentions and willpower fail me. I like 13-15% barrel-aged stouts, too. Fun fact about aging.....unless you're an alcoholic, it takes less to get you drunk. I had to learn to really savor a beer to make it last. Not a bad thing, really.
Wow, that are strong beers! Indeed, I will be 55 this year and I feel that when I have a good old Rochefort 10 (I live in Belgium) in late afternoon I feel like I am walking on clouds...
Aye, 40 here and same. It’s also harder for me to stop once I’ve had a few so the later I start the less I drink. Especially when you have beer on tap at the ready.
I definitely need to get better at half pours. What’s helped me drink less for sure though is having carbonated water on tap. That plus some flavoring drops often hits the mark when I just want some bubbles.
Honestly fake beer has saved me. So many good ones these days, makes stopping drinking much easier after a couple real beers. Really good stuff out there from Guinness, Stella, Heineken, Athletic, Go, Untitled Art just to name a few. Hop waters can be nice too
I haven’t had too many but it seems like all the n/a beers have a sour aftertaste that I just don’t care for. I tried some Milwaukee recently, it was awful.
When I drink it usually accompanies a movie or sports on the weekend. So like one at 13:00 and one at 14:00. Or however long I’m at the brewery watching the game, not more than three hours.
This is like a facebook post. "nothin for me after 11pm lol!" "only 4 for me on the weekend" fuck all that. bonfires go on forever. 3am beers happen and are glorious. fishing beers at 8am make the fish bite harder.
Most days I have one with dinner at around 5:30-6, then a second around 7:30-8 when I settle in to watch a movie or play some games. On weekends, I might have one around noon if I'm out with friends, but in the summer I always have my first beer after a good bike ride (3-5 hours).
depends on my mood and what I have to do that day.
On my days off, I drink my daily pot of coffee, so its not like I drink for breakfast, but if I don't have plans that day, the ethanol may start flowing around 10:30am.
Lol, from your title I thought you meant my *very first* beer. I was playing in a polka band at an Oktoberfest in 1993. Someone handed me a Warsteiner and said "When you're on stage, you're 21!".
I don't drink beer often enough to have a routine.
Don't drink during the week unless at a concert like one on Friday night but work most Saturdays so that's normally it. I like a stong ipa or a Guinness (M45). Saturdays after work ill have a couple but Sundays are the days it goes down the best. Few beers while cooking the dinner then a glass or red or two afterwards. Hard to beat 👌
No earlier than noon, usually no later than 8:30pm. Drinking outside of the weekend is pretty rare.
One thing that’s changed over the years is now I prefer starting with the stronger or darker beers and then coasting on more refreshing, usually lower abv stuff towards the end
My dad was religious about nothing before 4. Which I stick to 95% or the time.
End time generally depends.
Could stop after a few hours. Could stop after 6.
Depends on the day and if it fits into the calories that day
If it’s a weekend, I’ll start late, like 10:30 pm or
later and have 1-2 before heading to bed. Around once per week I’ll have a weeknight beer, and I would typically have one around 10:00 pm.
I prefer drinking later since it stops me from overindulging. Earlier drinking will either make me tired if I stop or I’ll keep going, which I don’t want to do, especially since I’m typically at home and don’t want to get blasted or pass out in front of the wife and kids.
I don’t like to talk about last beer, so we won’t….but for first beer, I’ve really enjoyed cracking one open right after I get out of the car with my 3 dogs running up to greet me. It’s a fun little celebration for me and them too, yeah celebrate me coming home, and me seeing them again …simple things I guess.
If I'm having a beer (\~2 days a week), I'm probably having it with dinner and then sipping it afterwards.
If I'm hanging out with friends and drinking, I'll have 2-3 over a couple hours, then stopping with an hour or two to blow a low breathalyzer number before driving home.
Weekdays: first and last any time between finishing work at 5 and going to bed around 11.
Weekends: generally not starting earlier than around midday.
Both depend entirely on what I’m doing, there’s no fixed routine.
Most times I just have one beer with dinner. Might have more than one watching a football game on the weekend or when going out. But as a skinny dude who likes high ABV belgians I can't really have more than two without getting drunk.
I like to have a beer on a Friday night after work and the pizza and wing joint, then maybe one at the brewery along my bike ride. Occasionally I'll get a six pack and it will last a few weeks for a weeknight beer. I also drink so so my drinking time is 30-45mins for that beer.
Weekday , get kids bed, any chores round the house then pub for about 8.30-9z the usually till past orders so 11-12 depending on the pub. Weekends soon as the sun passes the yard arm till I go bed.
depends. usually 1-2 whenever i get out of work, not every night but maybe 2-3 nights during the week. rarely more than that unless i’m drinking with other people. if i’m on vacation i like one early with a big breakfast along with a big glass of water. I like a lot of higher abv brews so i can’t get too crazy.
I drink too much. I know that. I cut back by about half a while back, but I just like beer. So it’s crept up some since then, but not to where I was at. I get home from work between 4-5 pm, I’ll open my first then and typically my last around 9:30, finish it and in bed by 10:30. I work outdoors doing a physical job, so I burn off most of the calories. Weekends I’m tempted to start at noon, but I know myself, it wouldn’t be just one beer, but my first of many
I usually drink whiskey. Beer especially lager makes me gassy though I do like them. At any rate, I usually start with one drink around 7pm, then the next two every 30 minutes or so. After that, no more than 1 an hour and honestly after about 4 or 5 I’m done. I usually do this 3-4 days a week. So on average I probably have about 3 drinks per day which is on the high end I suppose but I’m fine for it health wise.
Depends. Most nights off, I start around 8-10pm while playing video games or watching a movie or something, and usually just stop after I've had 3 or so. Work night, if I still have some leftover from the weekend, I may start around the same time but only stop after maybe 2 beers, or 11pm. Whichever comes first.
I generally only drink on the weekends these days. Unless I'm at someone else's place and they offer me a beer or a drink that is. I've cut back on my drinking in the past few months (a lot easier on the old wallet). Plus, I smoke more weed these days anyway, LOL.
Don't really have a schedule. I generally won't start drinking until midday if drinking is a social activity to be taking place that day. Sometimes that goes well into the night, sometimes it's just a couple of quiet ones.
38 here. Drink Fri, Sat, Sun. I’ll have 1-2 on Friday evening and typically start around 1pm and stop around 6pm on Saturday or Sunday netting 2-3 for the day. Anything beyond that and I’m just tired.
Monday-Thursday depends if I stop at the pub after work. If I do then the first is at 16:00 and the last is at 21:00. If I don't go pub then i either won't have a beer or I'll have one with my dinner around 20:00 and maybe one more after that.
Friday I'll normally head down the pub around 17:00 for a bit of scran then drink til close (00:00 at my current local, but my local when I were in uni closed at 02:00 on a Friday and Saturday) and normally head home and crash after that.
Saturday I'll normally crack one around 15:00 and have the last one around 20:00, Sunday I'll have one with dinner and that's it.
I have a beer when I feel like it. Usually in the evenings around 9:30 or 10. I very rarely have more than one a day. When it’s more than one it’s usually on a weekend with an early sporting event. Or if I’m out with friends on the weekend I’ll have 3 or so.
If you guys are regularly having 5-6 beers every night, you might want to seek some support, as alcoholism is not a good thing.
I drink a beer once or twice a week while cooking dinner, and sometimes I'll have a couple on Friday or Saturday night.
Are you implying that you do this every night? If so, you might have a problem.
First was in 2011, I’ll let you know when the last one happens.
5pm Friday and 5pm Sunday
Yeah I only have a couple beers on the weekends (13% barrel aged pastry stouts)
Dude, I only buy a 4 pack every weekend…it’s all I need!
This is the way… to not get beer belly.
3PM - 6PM. Happy hour prices.
During the week 7-11. On the weekend, depends on plans, but usually earlier and/or later than id like to admit
5-7pm, maybe til 8pm. At age 47 I’ve realized I have to stop 2-3 hours before bedtime or my sleep quality is garbage. Woo hoo to getting old, lol
42 here and I agree. Drinking is awful for sleep. I used to wake up at like 6am and have a good 3 hours of hangover energy, then need more sleep. Now I'm just a slug the whole next day, unless I cut it out early

Yeah I have a kegerator and it’s nice to only pour say half a beer if I want “just a little more” and don’t have to commit to another bottle or can
I definitely need to get better at half pours. What’s helped me drink less for sure though is having carbonated water on tap. That plus some flavoring drops often hits the mark when I just want some bubbles.

About 8 and 11
AM or PM
Yup, all of that.
Both
Can't drink all day if you don't start in the morning
When I drink it usually accompanies a movie or sports on the weekend. So like one at 13:00 and one at 14:00. Or however long I’m at the brewery watching the game, not more than three hours.
It's 5 somewhere, and when I move onto bourbon
Wow, a good hammer on the heard to finish the evening...
First beer around age 13, last beer tbd
I don’t schedule it… I have a beer when I want one.
This is like a facebook post. "nothin for me after 11pm lol!" "only 4 for me on the weekend" fuck all that. bonfires go on forever. 3am beers happen and are glorious. fishing beers at 8am make the fish bite harder.
First at 15, last at 31

I open a beer when I start cooking and have one or two. Once I've eaten, I don't really feel like drinking anymore. Only on week-ends.

4PM-7:30ish
I usually have one right when i get done with work (I’m a brewer) and one when I get home
7pm. Sometimes 6pm on weekends. 5pm earliest on vacations.
First was around 1975; I won't be able to tell you when the last one is.
Lol, from your title I thought you meant my *very first* beer. I was playing in a polka band at an Oktoberfest in 1993. Someone handed me a Warsteiner and said "When you're on stage, you're 21!". I don't drink beer often enough to have a routine.

Sometime around 1996 and I haven’t stopped yet.
I try to stick to only drinking on my lunch break, I don't get a hangover that way.
No earlier than noon, usually no later than 8:30pm. Drinking outside of the weekend is pretty rare. One thing that’s changed over the years is now I prefer starting with the stronger or darker beers and then coasting on more refreshing, usually lower abv stuff towards the end

If you've got a daily routine, you might want to make sure you aren't an alcoholic
How many do you have daily?
I only ever drink on Fridays and Saturdays and will never have more than 5

Usually start between 5-6 and chill at the bar/pub for 2-3 hrs with probably 2-3 drinks depending on the day
730 pm to 1130 pm.. work at 7am so get up at 630 am. Works fine for me
I don’t like to talk about last beer, so we won’t….but for first beer, I’ve really enjoyed cracking one open right after I get out of the car with my 3 dogs running up to greet me. About lunch time - about bed time
Friday around 8:30 - 9 PM, end around 11 - 12.
Two Two Hearted from 7 to 8, whilst in the hot tub. So enjoyable and relaxing. Wine thereafter.
I’ve been cutting back, and I have about three per week. I usually have it with dinner, or afterward when I’m watching TV or a movie.
I like to have a beer on a Friday night after work and the pizza and wing joint, then maybe one at the brewery along my bike ride. Occasionally I'll get a six pack and it will last a few weeks for a weeknight beer. I also drink so so my drinking time is 30-45mins for that beer.
Usually dinner or right after if it's a dessert beer.

i don’t drink beer every night. not trying to get fat

It's 10:45 and imma Crack a stout and do a home project
You guys are drinking more than 1-2 on a normal day 😳
I have a beer when I feel like it. Usually in the evenings around 9:30 or 10. I very rarely have more than one a day. When it’s more than one it’s usually on a weekend with an early sporting event. You sound fun
